Safely inside my humble rock abode and sit down where the pre-exisiting fire has now dwindled to nothing but ash. I laid down on the blanket allowing sleep to consume me, I didn't want to leave this place fearful that I would get more lost.

All I wanted at this moment was for Frances to come through the cave entrance to me, him scooping me up from the cold floor embracing me in his arms. I finally would feel safe again, but that wasn't happening. I was alone on a dirt floor, asleep.

I woke up hours later, and dusk had now taken hold of the environment around me. I crawled over to the ash pile and placed more wood down, I grabbed the fire starter and spun the spindle between my hands. The fire started up; it was a powerful flame. I left the cave for the first time that day and checked on the mare it had been grazing on the grass outside.
