We rode through the trees for about an hour till we finally came to a clearing, I reached behind me pulling the map out to compare with the compass. I hoped that Frances was progressing a lot faster than I had over the past days but, I had a sinking feeling in my stomach that Frances wasn't even close to where I was. I had been traveling in the right direction, thankfully.

I needed to rest though and gather more food. The cave was guarded. I was now in the wide open clearing which was more or less a field. I rode around the clearing to make sure that it was safe. I found a spot to settle in for the night, I lit a fire and laid the blanket down on the ground.

I stare at the sky watching the daylight weave into the night's starry sky. My mind was consumed with endearing thoughts of Frances. I wondeed if he was also staring up at the sky tonight and thinking of me.
