Christmas was fast approaching, sending everyone into a flurry of preparations. The boys scrambled to order decorations and tackle food preparations, The girls were also helping with decorations, they were accustomed to helping with their mother "lavish" parties so this wasn't a problem a problem for them.

However, once the sun set and their mother parties truly began, chaos ensued. Illegal activities, gambling, and strippers, Scarlet always kept a weapon close during these events, just in case. It wasn't rare for a guy or two to try to take advantage of them.

Meanwhile, Juliet found herself in the kitchen, attempting to bake cookies amidst the chaos of her siblings. She mixed the batter while fending off her siblings' attempts to steal tastes, their behavior reminiscent of mischievous toddlers.

"Oh, come on, Jules, just one taste," Marco whined, his pleading tone tugging at Juliet's resolve. Despite her resistance, she couldn't help but smile.

"Pretty pleaseeee," he begged, adding a jump for emphasis. Juliet rolled her eyes, a mischievous glint appearing as Marco's eyes widened in anticipation.

For the next hour or so, Juliet put Marco to work, ordering him around to handle heavy lifting and assist with various tasks, turning the tables on her brother's attempts at mischief.

She giggled like a maniac as she bossed Marco around, reveling in the mischief. Dante couldn't help but find it hilarious, his laughter joining hers. However, Marco was not amused.

"You know, for such a tiny person, you've got a lot of evil in you, like Stitch," Marco remarked, his tone full of annoyance but that only made her laugh harder.

Their moment was interrupted by loud yelling. "No, no, no!" Elijah's voice boomed from across the room.

"You're being ridiculous! Silver is a classic and way better than your multicolor mess!" Violet retorted, her voice rising in frustration.

"How dare you!" Elijah shot back, his tone incredulous.

"How dare you call that an abomination of a tree decoration," Violet argued vehemently, her stance firm as she defended her choice.

"And yours is boring with no sense of life," Elijah retorted, his tone dripping with disdain.

"Having class is not boring," Violet argued defiantly, her conviction unwavering. Violet was used to decorating normally Violet had always been in charge of the party decor, and her events were renowned for their opulence and elegance. Luxurious items like glass, crystals, and diamonds adorned her gatherings, elevating them to a level of sophistication that few could rival.

So when Elijah started decorating the tree with messy colors that made absolutely no sense to mix, it nearly gave her a heart attack. Violet's heart raced with disbelief and panic as she watched in horror, unable to comprehend how anyone could think such a haphazard mishmash of hues would result in anything but an eyesore.

"Come on, Violet, it can't be that bad," Scarlet said, raising her head from the wood carvings she was working on with Sebastian.

"You kidding, right? Who the hell mixes neon pink with neon green?" Violet retorted, her incredulity evident as she gestured towards the garish tree decorations with a mixture of disbelief and dismay.

Juliet smiled. "I don't know, I think it adds character," she sign with a shrug. As she looked at the tree, she had to admit, it was kind of hideous.

However, upon closer inspection, she noticed that the decorations were not your typical store-bought ornaments. Instead, they were a mishmash of various picture ornaments, mainly handmade. Juliet could tell that they were made with love, likely by children.

Violet rolled her eyes. "Nobody asked you, Juliet," she snapped, her frustration evident. Juliet immediately felt small and embarrassed under Violet's sharp words.

"Hey, there's no reason to snap at her like that," Mateo interjected, his voice calm but firm.

Violet's jaw tightened, but she didn't respond. "Whatever," she snapped dismissively, turning away with a huff.

"What's wrong with her?" Antonio asked incredulously, watching Violet's abrupt behavior.

"Violet loves to be in control. If she's not, she can turn into a massive... well, you know," Scarlet replied, her tone matter-of-fact as she continued to carve the wood in her hand.

Antonio nodded, understanding Scarlet's explanation. He had seen Violet's need for control manifest before, but it still surprised him at times.

"Well, hopefully, she'll calm down soon," Antonio remarked, hoping to diffuse the tension in the room. "We're all just trying to make this holiday season special, right?"

Scarlet glanced up from her carving, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, you're right," she agreed, her tone softening. "Let's focus on that."

Just as Scarlet said that, the doorbell rang, and everyone scattered towards the door. Rafael was already there, and he opened the door to reveal an older woman with a large black hat and sunglasses. She was adorned in pearls, and her high black heels tapped against the concrete floor.

"Hello, Rafael." the woman inquired.

"Mother?"
