Carlos S.

I couldn't do it. I couldn't stand there, flirting with her when I knew that she was together with Sebastian, who had previously hurt her and was maybe hurting her again. I couldn't laugh and look into her ice blue eyes with the knowledge that she hadn't told me that, instead her son had.

Her son, who shouldn't know about this at all. Antonia didn't know for sure that Luca had knowledge about it, Sebastian hurting her. Why didn't she told me about it and the better question was, why was she with him again.

I sipped from my drink as Checo took a seat next to me. I was getting along with him really great and it was sometimes real fun to work with him.

"I'm not here to congratulate you on your win, I'm sure you've had enough of that." the Mexican laughed and we toasted our glasses together.

"Yeah thanks, it's really enough after some time." I returned and tried to put a smile back on my face, still looking half at Antonia, who was still standing at the bar.

Checo noticed my look and nodded in her direction.

"Is she happy with our performance?"

My head snapped back and my eyes widened in shock as I looked at him.

"Why should I know what she thinks?"

"Ok come on mate." Checo said and shook his head laughing, "Do you really want me to say it?"

"I don't know what you mean." I tried to play dumb but he believed me not a word.

"You two are always shaking around and are close, you have a pretty decent connection to her son, more than his father from what I have seen over the last weeks and she doesn't seem to reject you so she likes you too."

"You think?" I asked curious and Checo smirked at me.

"Of course Carlos, are you really that blind?" the Mexican laughed again before he got serious, "But she's still your boss don't forget that and one mistake can cost you your seat, especially since her husband is here."

"Husband?"

"Luca's father, he introduced himself as Toni's husband."

"Wow." was all I said.

Another thing she hadn't told me, that he was her husband and they never got a divorce. I hadn't seen a ring on her finger though but maybe she was only not wearing it because of the break up and now she would put it back on.

"But as he isn't here today I would say, shoot your shot, it's maybe your last chance." Checo said before he stood up and patted my shoulder.

"Thanks mate." I returned and smiled at him.

Maybe he was right. If she was really getting back with Sebastian or already was, maybe this party today was my last chance to spend time with her, like chilled and fun time, not work time. Because for sure he wouldn't let her alone in the future.

Why hadn't I took my chance back in Bahrain or Baku, where he wasn't in the picture yet, why had I held back there? Now I got kinda frustrated about it but I couldn't change it anyway, so I decided to make the best out of this night.

Quickly I emptied my drink before I looked over to the bar, Antonia wasn't there anymore. But because of her stunning red dress it was easy to find her in the crowd and not two seconds later I had located her on the dance floor with Ricky and Markus.

I still didn't like him, maybe because he was always so cozy with Antonia. To be honest it was probably jealousy that I felt but I didn't care at that moment. This night was the last one and I wanted to take one last try.

She hadn't seemed scared by my touch and words before so maybe she even liked it, that was the thought I held onto as I walked over to the dance floor.

"Carlos, nice race." Ricky said as soon as I arrived at the little group, before he excused himself as some mechanic wanted something from him.

Antonia only looked quickly at me and gave me a slight smile, which I returned.

"Markus, I think Checo wanted to ask you something, he said I should send you over."

"Where is he?" Markus asked and I gestured over to the bar, in what direction he then quickly disappeared.

When he arrived at him, the Mexican looked into my direction, but as soon as he saw me and Antonia he winked at me and I mouthed a thank you to him. Luckily Antonia was standing with the back to them so she didn't notice.

"Did Checo really wanted something from him?" she asked me and raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe." I returned quietly and laid my hands on her hips to pull her closer, "I don't remember."

"You are truly incredible." Antonia said sarcastically put put her arms around my neck as a slow song started.

"Thanks." I answered cheeky and winked at her, to which she just shook her head but laughed.

"Sorry for running away before." I stumbled after some time and her smile froze.

"What was the problem?" she simply asked but I didn't really have an answer myself for that question.

"Long story."

"You have to tell me, but not now. The night is too short for long stories." she whispered back and laid her head against my shoulder.

I didn't know form where this came from but I liked it and her sudden closeness gave me a warm feeling in my stomach. But unfortunately the song ended and she let go of me again. As I was a bit overwhelmed with the situation I offered her, to get new drinks.

"Mate that was close but lucky you that I am such a spontaneous liar." Checo approached me at the bar and we laughed.

"Thanks a lot Checo, I don't really like him and he always is close to her and I don't like that."

"You're jealous."

"Maybe." I mumbled and took our drinks before going back to the dance floor after thanking Checo again.

Antonia was dancing with her back towards me so she didn't noticed me and that gave me the opportunity to look at her for a moment. That red dress was really something else and it fit her body perfectly, she looked stunning.

"I'm back." I shouted over the loud music as I put one arm on each side of her body from behind, holding our drinks.

"Which one's for me?" she asked and looked over her shoulder at me, as she didn't fully turn.

"Which one you like." I said and she smiled at me before picking one drink.

But still she didn't turn and instead snuggled closer to me, her back against my chest. Automatically I wrapped an arm around her waist and put my hand on her lower stomach, while her hips moved around.

Fuck, I thought. This wouldn't end well if she would keep moving against my private area like that. The next song was a Spanish one and it only gave her more reasons to move her hips and she laughed while throwing her head back against my shoulder.

"Do you understand what they sing?" she giggled and quickly looked at me before taking another sip.

"Of course I do." I laughed back.

"What does it mean?" she asked and closed her eyes, as my arm and hip guided her movements.

"It's hard to translate it to English." I tried to explain because I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to translate these sentences for her.

"Then show me what it means." she said and looked up at me, our lips only millimeters away from each other.

I was frozen for a moment and after that she had already turned back, her head a couple centimeters in front of me as she took another sip from her drink. I didn't know why I did what I did next but she asked me to and to be honest such an invitation was nothing to refuse.

Carefully I laid my lips on her exposed neck and started kissing her, while the refrain kept playing in the background.

Te besaré toda la noche y te haré gritar mi nombre.
