Poem #84

Throw down your fake crown, dearest king or queen
You are not who you pretend to be, not everything you seem
Tear off the mask of perfection, let your true self be seen
For hiding behind falsehoods is no way to truly reign supreme

You've built a fortress of lies, high and mighty it stands
But inside you're crumbling, your true self demands
To be heard and acknowledged, for it's tired of the charade
It's time to break free from the role you have played

No longer let society dictate who you should be
For their expectations and standards, they hold no power over thee
Throw down your fake crown and embrace your flaws
For they make you unique, they make you who you are

The weight on your shoulders, let it all fall away
As you bare your soul and let your true self stay
No longer a puppet, controlled by society's hand
You can finally be free, to be yourself, to stand

Embrace your imperfections, they make you one of a kind
And let go of the pressure to constantly hide behind
The facade that you've created, the image you've maintained
For it's not worth sacrificing your true self, it's not worth the pain
