The delivered tone of my text going through would reach Evangeline, letting her know that I was already on my way.

There was no doubt that she and the girls were waiting for me as I rushed to finish getting dressed. I didn't care if others waited on me, but for some reason I didn't want to keep Evangeline waiting any longer. I was already running late.

I couldn't even settle on a costume so I opted for a skeleton zip up hoodie I had in my closet. It was better than nothing and it complimented the all black outfit I had on. Well I always wear black anyways.

I was going to borrow my mom's car and drive to the carnival since Evangeline left early. I was still trying to convince my parents to let me out and that I wasn't up to no good. With a hesitant yes, my mom gave me the keys to her BMW and I was out the door.

"Ambrose," Siouxsie calls out from my driveway.

My hand froze on the driver's door handle. I fix my gaze on her and squint at her figure. We last saw each other at the L.A. party about a few weeks ago when Evangeline came to save me. I had been ignoring her texts and invites, even from the others. I didn't mean to ignore Gretch and the other band members, I just knew that the invitation extended out to Siouxsie and I didn't want to see her.

"Can we talk?" She asks, stuffing her hands in her jacket. "Well, I talk and you listen?" She says sheepishly.

I nod hesitantly, still keeping my distance from her.

"I wanted to apologize for my actions at the party. I know I was being possessive of you and it wasn't my intention to do," she says, "I just really liked you and I didn't want anyone to come in between us."

I raise an eyebrow at her reasoning, but nonetheless I still listen.

"We're just so alike and there's a lot that we have in common and it made me feel closer to you. I was so glad when you moved here and we started hanging out," she says, "I never wanted to make my jealousy apparent since I've been cheated on in the past and it still affects me."

I mentally rolled my eyes. I've heard this excuse before, it was a well known excuse that's always pulled from the books. Jezabel always used that excuse when it came to her aggressive demeanor.

"I wish you would be able to say something."

I pull my phone out, but she stops me. Her hand goes onto my hand.

"Actually it's okay. I also came here because I wanted to see if you wanted to go to the carnival in the neighboring town to make up for my actions," she says, a small smile appearing on her face.
