Mallory closed her eyes and breathed out of her nose, standing to her feet, "I know, Lea. I al- I always look good," She slurred her words, paying the bartender and leaving a tip for no reason.
Lea grinned before clarifying, "You look so good, I wanna kiss you."
"Well, don't," Mallory rolled her eyes, staggering over to the door. She shivered when she went outside. Whether it was because of the cold or the fact that Lea had followed her outside to the empty street, she didn't know.
"Don't be like that, Mal!" Lea called out after her.
"Don't call me that," Mallory murmured back.
"I missed you and you're giving me the cold shoulder?" Lea forcefully grabbed Mallory's wrist and pulled her into an alleyway.
"What do you want from me?" The brunette asked the older woman, who had her pressed up against a wall, "Want me to get drunk so you can fuck me like I'm some mindless seventeen year old again?"
Lea ignored Mallory and cupped her jaw tightly, "Tell me you missed me."
"I didn't," Mallory spat back.
Lea clenched her jaw shut before leaning forward and forcing her lips onto the younger woman's. Mallory tensed up and froze with wide eyes, suddenly sobering up. Lea's moved against hers, biting them so she could force her tongue inside.
Mallory's eyes welled up with tears as Lea's hands untucked her shirt and rubbed at her bare waist.
"Please, let me go," Mallory whispered weakly when Lea broke from her mouth to kiss her neck.
Lea smirked, biting down in Mallory's pulse point, forming a hickey, "Just a little something to remember me by," She whispered, taking a step back as Mallory collapsed to the floor, sobbing with her head in her hands, "How long are you staying for?"
Mallory just continued to cry.
Lea sighed and crouched down, kissing her head, "Don't cry," She mumbled, "I'll see you soon."
She got up and left Mallory alone in the alleyway.
After being alone with her thoughts for twenty minutes, Mallory forced herself onto her feet and trudged home bitterly with one thing on her mind.
Taylor, Taylor, Taylor.
She slammed the door behind her and stormed to the bathroom where she immediately undressed, not caring as she tore the fabric of her shirt. She just needed it off. Mallory turned the shower up to the highest temperature and grabbed a loofah, scrubbing aggressively at her wrists, then waist, then neck, then her face.
There were uneven patches of red covering her body and it stung, but she couldn't find it in herself to care. There was a knock and Mallory faltered, turning when she heard her brother's concerned voice, but ignored it and continued scrubbing away the layers of her skin, until the white loofah was red.
Mallory only stopped when the water began to turn red at her feet and the sting became unbearable. Sobbing softly, she turned off the shower and left the tub. She wrapped a silk dressing gown around herself and opened the door to see her siblings looking at her in concern.
"Are you okay?" Anastasia was the first to speak.
Mallory's eyes teared up once more, "I'm fine," She frowned when her voice cracked, "I'm just- My friends stood me up." A half-truth.
"Get some sleep, Kid," James rested his hand on her shoulder, retracting it when his sister flinched, "Sorry."
"Don't worry about it," Mallory murmured, walking to her bedroom.
