both you and kenma were walking to class, the hallways empty.
"i think i'm going to get dropped from our class" kenma confessed.
"why?" you asked.
"cause..." he starts, "the only reason i'm in the advanced science class is because kuroo was teaching me. it's like i'm cheating."
"then just let him keep teaching you" you concluded.
silence arose for a while.
"you're right"
you both leisurely walked into class, seeing the array of students walking around getting into their seats. the teacher already being there.
you and kenma had a seats in the third row on the right side of the class, so you headed there.
yamamoto from the seat infront of you gawked at what you had in your hands.
"slushies?" his eyes sparkled, "how did you get it?"
"skipped class" you popped the straw in your mouth.
"seriously?"
you raised your cup to him, which he gladly grabs from you.
the teacher, ms kimura, clapped her hands together.
"class! all the year 2s will be merging with the upperclassman for tomorrow's class. it's for a science experiment in the lab."
"sounds boring" you whispered in kenmas' ear. you reached out your hand, grabbing your slushy.
all the students take out their worksheets and go through the periodic table.
the teacher asks
"can someone tell me what is the result when potassium reacts with water?"
you raised up your hand "you get potassium hydroxide + hydrogen gas"
she raised her eyebrow.
"and a lilac coloured flame" you finished.
"very good." she said before returning back to the board.
kenma eyed you warily.
he sighs before writing on his paper "no wonder you're best friends with kuroo."
you turned your head "is that supposed to be a bad thing?"
"no." he doesn't look up but keeps writing "you are good at science. you are loud, observant, and you're witty."
"who else is gonna get #1 in science?" you quip without realising.
"proves my point."
"i might move up to class 6 next year~"
"proves my point again."
"ah, but of course. i was just joking" you look at kenma cautiously.
"the fact i'm in class 3 is commendable enough." he gives a small smile.
"streaming, huh?"
you notice the smile on kenmas' face grows a little wider "it's fun. i get money."
"i also just get to play my favourite games so it's really cool and i-"
suddenly you remember something.
"wait" you dropped your pen.
"what?"
kenma looks at you.
"that means we're doing lab with kuroo tomorrow!" you said a bit too loudly.
"miss l/n!" your teacher says angrily.
you immediately looked down at your paper ans grabbed your pen.

i want to say that at least where i live (which is in asia) we have different classes for different subjects so.
i took gcse chemistry so i don't know if this is basic stuff, or stuff that no one will recognise 🤷♀️
