"Welcome to America," The woman laughed. She seemed to forget about the people taking pictures of them, "I'm Taylor. What're your names?"
"Mallory Williams," The shorter girl said. "This little devil spawn is Lexie- Alexandra Grey."
Taylor's eyes widened, "Wait, seriously?" She asked, smiling widely when Mallory nodded, "Mine's called Dr. Meredith Grey!" She exclaimed excitedly, "And they're both Scottish folds... maybe they're sisters."
Mallory chuckled at Taylor's playfulness, "They just might be," She said, looking at her watch. Had she really been running for that long? Her legs didn't burn, but you get used to running for long periods of time when you've been doing it since you were thirteen, "I should probably go now."
"Yeah, me too," Taylor mumbled, remembering that she was supposed to be meeting Tom for brunch. "It was nice talking to you, Mallory Williams."
"You too, Taylor," The shorter girl hummed, "Bye."
"Actually, Mal, can I- can i maybe get your number?" She asked anxiously. Taylor liked that Mallory didn't recognise her, that she was just Taylor with this seemingly harmless stranger, not Taylor Swift.
Mallory smiled, taking a pen out of her pocket, "I always come prepared just in case I fall onto any fit girls," she grinned, biting off the cap, "Hand please,"
Taylor grinned, holding out her hand, giggled softly as the pen glided across her palm, writing out ten numbers smoothly, followed by, 'The girl that you fell for'.
Taylor blushed at Mallory, smiling like a little kid on Christmas. "Bye, Mal."
"Bye, Tay." Mallory waved, turning and walking to her shared apartment.
Mallory groaned in annoyance as her phone went off at six am. It was far too early for anyone to be awake, so why was there someone calling her on no caller ID?
She answered the phone, groaning to let the person know that they were in her bad books, "Morning. Mallory Williams, is it?" The person spoke formally.
"As I live and breathe... unfortunately," She whispered the last part, sitting up when she realised that she wouldn't be getting much more sleep that night, "And you are?"
"My name is Tree Paine. I have reason to believe that you bumped- quite literally, according to Taylor- into my client-"
"Wait, client?" Mallory was suddenly wide awake now, "Is she going to sue me? I thought she wanted my number so we could hook up or something!" She cried, dragging her hand down her face, "I can't afford to be sued. I'm still recovering from my student loans, ma'am. I didn't mean to bump into her! It was my knob head of a cat, I swear to Judas by Lady Gaga. Sue Lexie, not me."
"Miss," There was a sigh from over the phone, "Taylor is not going to sue you, I will not sue your cat, and I am Taylor's publicist, not her lawyer." Tree said firmly.
"Oh..." Mallory put the phone on speaker phone, opening safari and searching up 'Tree Paine'.
"If you'd like to continue to talk to- or hook up with- Taylor, you will have to sign an NDA. I just need your email address, Ms. Williams."
"Holy shit..." Mallory had ended up in a rabbit hole. Searching Tree turned to searching who hired her, which turned to seeing pictures of writing her number onto Taylor Swift's hand yesterday, "Taylor Swift?"
"That's her, yep," Tree said in a bored tone, "Your email address please?"
"Uh, Mallory Williams ninety-three at gmail dot com," She breathed out, listening to the quick taps against a keyboard, "Should I get a lawyer to read it before I sign it and send it back?" Mallory asked unsurely.
