Your POV

"Is this really okay? I mean, aren't I overdressed?" You ask as you take yet another look at your outfit.

You're getting ready for your date with Leo and Marcy has been helping you with what you are going to wear. So far, everything she's got you seems a bit too eccentric. That's not her usual style eiher, but you know she just couldn't pass the opportunity of dressing you up.

"Ay, you are no fun, Y/n. This is your first date in years, you have to look stunning or he won't ask you out again. Then it'll be a couple decades before someone else catches your eyes again." Marcy replies as she rolls her eyes.

"I know that, but I don't have to look like a clown either, do I? Besides, we better hurry. We still need to get ready for tonight's fight."

"Fine, fine. You want something simple, yet somewhat cute, sí?"

"Yeah, nothing that will draw too much attention. My scales do that already."

"Then..." She rummages through the clothes and separate two pieces before putting them in front of me. "How about this? It's the best I've got since you won't be wearing any pants."

You look at the outfit. "That's... Actually just what I had in mind. Thanks a lot, Marcy!"

"No problem. But don't think we're done yet." She trails off as she walks up to her dressing table.

"What do you mean?"

"Duh. Jewels and make-up."

You let out a groan before shaking your head. "Fine, you win. But can we decide that after the fight?"

"Then you better warn him that you'll be late. You know I like to do things at my own pace."

You roll your eyes while letting out yet another groan. That's when one of the snakes in your head rubs its head on your cheek. You look at it and smile since you know it's trying to cheer you up.

Then, you turn back at Marcy. "All right, I'll warn him. Now come on, we're gonna be late."

She grabs her sword and places it on her back. "You think I'll get a new scar on this fight?"

"You want more?"

"Only if the fight is fun."

You roll your eyes again, though this time you are smiling. Marcy has been your best friend for years by now and she knows you better than anyone else, even better than your own family. But she still manages to surprise you, mainly when it comes for her love to fight.

Timeskip

Leo's POV

I take a few deep breaths. I don't wanna look like it, but I'm really nervous. This is my first date. My actual first date. I want to impress Y/n, but I also don't want to make her uncomfortable. I want her to like me.

"*Sighs* I just hope I don't mess things up. And that the others don't show up."

My brothers were all over the lair when I told them that I was going out on a date, more so when I told them that it was with Big Mama's niece. And not in a good way. They kept warning me that it would be a trap or that things wouldn't work out and I would mess everything up. They even said that they were going to come along, just to keep an eye on things-- Oh, come on! I'm not a kid anymore! I can take care of myself, and them being there would only mess things up even more.
