"I thought you were kidding!" Peter breathed, ignoring that statement, "he wouldn't let you on the same floor as me if you said that" he was caught off guard just thinking about it.
"What, that I want to—"
"Yes— yes.. that thing" Peter didn't want to hear it again, closing his eyes in frustration.
"Don't underestimate me next time, hot stuff" Harley grinned, leaning against the wall, "you know I always follow through".
Peter wanted to scream, but he couldn't. So instead, he just shook his head in embarrassment.
"Can you untie me now?" Harley asked, grabbing Peter's attention, "I mean unless you wanna lock that door and we can—"
"Fine! Fine!" Peter waved his hands around, silencing Harley as he bent down to pull apart the strings.
Harley flexed his arms a bit, just for the dramatics of being locked up.
"Thanks, boo" he shot a quick smile, stretching out a bit.
Peter just huffed, opening up the door.
Harley trailed after, a victory grin on his face as he sauntered behind Peter.
"Before we go back in there, don't you say a word about that" Peter stopped them halfway, pointing to Harley.
"Me? Parker.. I wouldn't dream of it" Harley shot an innocent smile, pausing at the same time.
Peter sighed and turned around, beginning their trek back.
"For a price, of course".
"What?—"
"Harley you get your nasty ass hands— oh" Tony had just gotten free of the web, ready to break up whatever the hell had just gone down.
He didn't expect to run into the two teens already on their way back to the table.
"What was that all about, Peter?" Tony asked, trying to figure out what he'd missed.
"Harley was trying to pin me to a wall" Peter grumbled, giving a knowing glance to Harley.
Harley's grin fell.
"No—no I wasn't. I swear we were just talking and I—"
Stephen heard a screech down the hall. He wasn't sure if he should intervene or continue to laugh his ass off as quietly as he could.
Peter was the first to walk back in, clearly trying to suppress one as well. He had his hand covering his mouth and he kept looking back at every loud shock.
Stephen met his eye, the two of them snickering a little when they heard apologies being shouted down the hall, Tony's yelling joining in soon after.
Breakfast was always fun there.
Not too long later, Tony had decided it was time to give the med bay kids a day in the wild.
No one really questioned why Tony Stark owned 4 busses to choose from, but the small band of kids voted on the cool fancy travel one.
They were only going to a playground and a field, but Tony had rented out the whole street to park the bus there so that it didn't break any laws to leave it in the road. It only took him about a week to secure it all, so he was planning on having everyone spend the whole day there.
No one really complained either. Exploring the avengers tower was fun, but authentic sun and open space always had a spot to take up for kids.
Harley and Peter were sitting next to each other in their seats. Harley refused to look at him.
