"you're being nice to me now?" he asked.

"don't get too friendly because i spoke," i point a finger. "me being nice doesn't mean i like you."

he holds his hands up, "fair fair, you still look good though, you took, Ava."

i smile faintly, "thanks, Evan."

"thanks, Evan," Ava says, shooting him a smile.

"see me after class?" Evan asked.

i shake my head, standing outside of Miss. Adams door, "no, i have things to do."

"come on-"

"i said no Evan," i cut my eyes at him. "let's not go for a round two, i don't think your nose could bare."

he backs up, "fine fine."

opening the door, Ava and i made our way off into the classroom, taking our seats down towards the back.

"good morning class," Alyssa started with. "i hope you all enjoyed your holidays and had an enjoyable one. today we all will be going over what we started before going off to break, we have a test tomorrow."

the class groaned, slumping in their chairs, "im tired of test Miss. Adams, can we do something else?"

"no," she said firmly. "if you're so tired of testing, you shouldn't have come to college. what did you expect here? easy sailing? open your books!"

damn, excuse me.

opening my books, i immediately found the section we left off from, i didn't waste any time as i began reading.

"Human body, da da da-blah blah blah, yeah," i whispered to myself.

"read in your head, not out loud," i heard Ava whisper to me.

i chuckle, "im just skimming it really."

"skimming or reading," she cocks her brow, eyeing me. "in your head, Lance."

"sure, Bower," i shake my head, pulling my attention back down onto the book.

i took my time, slowly reading through the text, highly what i knew was important. it didn't take me all that long, as i soon began writing down a few notes.

soon enough, the bell rang and everyone wasted no time as they all bolted out of that class like a speed of lightning. lord.

Ava and i gathered our things, i took a lot longer, per usual.

"you coming?" she asked.

i nod, continuing to put my things away, "go on, ill catch up, Reed should be outside anyways."

"ou, he's sexy," Ava uttered.

"shut it! he's my damn bodyguard!" i shout, wasting her dismiss herself.

"Alex?" i heard from the side of me.

turning my head, i came face to face with Alyssa, "yeah?"

"you alright?" she questions, eyeing me suspiciously.

i nod, throwing my bag over my shoulder, "im just fine, Alyssa. see you tomorrow."

before i could walk off, she slid her arm in front of me, "wait, can i-can i talk to you?"

i lift my brow, "about?"

"yesterday," she folds her arms. "what did Ella do?"

i chuckle, "she didn't do anything, at least not yet. but i don't see it as a good idea we continue talking about it, it's done."
