You were walking around town, heading towards the river you would never go to when you needed to be alone.

You heard a quiet sob coming from it, confused, you approached.

You saw a woman sitting on the grass, sobbing.

You recognized her, “Isabela.” You mumbled, making your way towards her.

You sat down next to her, looking at the water.

“It's nice isn't it?” You asked, looking at her. “Are you okay?”

“No.. not really.” “Wanna talk about it?” You asked, offering your hand for support.

She took it, scooting closer to you.

“I'm marrying this man.. Mariano. He's a great guy but I don't like him. There's always been this insane amount of pressure on me to be perfect and flawless, I need to marry him. It'll do so much good for the family.”

She sighed, throwing a pebble onto the river's surface. The pebble skipped a few times before sinking.

“I'm sure your family cares more about your well being, don't give up being happy for them.”

She looked up at you, “You think so?” “Yeah..”

She gave you a soft smile, “Thank you.”
