"Sure" he said quietly, still trying to mask the obvious.
"Twenty questions. You go first"
Peter and Harley never got to finished the round before the janitor unlocked the door to find the two boys sitting on the floor, Peter's eyes a little bit more red than normal, but a smile that'd suggest whatever was bothering him was in the past.
"What are you two doing in here?" The janitor asked. Opening the door for them to come out.
"I was trying to get a rag to clean up a mess in the lunch room, but—"
"I locked us in on accident" Harley interrupted, giving a big smile to Peter, "look at us finishing each other's sentences".
The janitor rolled his eyes and ushered them along, going into the room to grab his own things.
Peter couldn't help but feel better at the idiocy of Harley. He chewed on his nail as they went back into the lunchroom.

"How was school today, little man?" Tony asked, shaking up Peter's freshly cut hair.
Peter tossed his bag on the floor and filled onto the couch next to Tony, closing his yes.
"Got locked in the janitor's closet with Harley" he groaned, rubbing his eyes.
"Oooh, who's Hailey" Tony nudged Peter's ribs lightly, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Harley. And he's my partner in a robotics assignment. It was terrifying" he removed his hands from his eyes, looking up to the slightly illuminated ceiling.
"Sorry about that, bud" Tony gave Peter a half hug, leaving his arm there.
The two of them sat in a comfortable silence, waiting for Stephen to be back from Wong's errands.
Tony's phone began to ring. He answered it and put it on speaker.
"Hey hon, you're on speaker with Peter here. What's up?" Tony squeezed Peter's shoulder lightly as he said his name, looking forward blankly as he concentrated on the words.
"Hi, yes, cool. Hello Peter. Tony, I'm not going to be back until later tonight. Something came up, and— would you stop that— and I am going to pass out as soon as I get there. Wong found some magical village or something and I'm going to be—let go of that— babysitting these— ouch— I'm going to be babysitting some little gremlins off world for the next couple of days. Keep an eye on Peter for me, I'll only really be there in the mornings" he seemed to struggle in talking, a lot of shuffling going on through the phone.
"Alrighty honey, just stay safe out there" Tony sighed, the end call beep hitting him halfway through the sentence.
"Wonder what he's babysitting" Peter thought aloud.
"Probably that frog lady's kids again. She's got like 80 of them. This will be the third time he's been stuck with that job" Tony groaned, knowing he's going to have to buy that weird smelling shampoo to get the slime crap out of Stephen's hair.
Peter sucked some air in through a clenched jaw, furrowing his brows.
"That sucks" he uttered.
"Definitely" Tony agreed, "but hey, at least I've got you" he squeezed Peter's shoulder again, his spirits seemingly lifting almost instantly.
"Mmm yes, what could be better than an emotional teenager" he lifted his hand to his head dramatically "nothing could compare to him, not even my magical wizard husband" he leaned his head back to really sell it.
