Meanwhile, back at Peach's castle. Peach was stuck in her room, feeling upset about the recent events. What was supposed to be The Mushroom Jubilee to honor her late parents, King Harold and Queen Rose, got ruined by Bowser.

"Mario's probably dead," she sniffled, "Most of the guests are in prison... The Mushroom Kingdom will be destroyed, and then Bowser will rule more than just the Mushroom Kingdom if this continues."

"Oh, Peachy!" said a familiar voice that turned Peach's mood down.

Bowser came in right on cue, with Kammy Koopa behind him into her room. This did more than dampen Peach's mood, it made her angry.

"What is it, Bowser?" she said annoyed.

"I just wanted to see how my dear Princess Peach is fairing this fine day?" Bowser asked.

"Maybe I might feel better if you get out of my room NOW!" she retorted.

"Don't think Mario will come to your rescue this time, my dear!" Kammy lied to hide the fact Mario is still alive.

"We're soooooo high above the land, Mario has plummeted to his death by now!"

"And who's fault is that?" Peach asked.

"Hey, it was Mario's fault," Bowser said in defense, "Maybe if he didn't try to defeat me as usual, he MIGHT still be alive."

Bowser pulled out the Star Rod to prove his victory.

"Besides, Peach. As long as I have the Star Rod, no one can touch me. You know, the power that grants everyone's wishes? It's mine! How wonderful is that?"

"Brag all you want. It's not changing my mind."

"Well, I think it's delightful!" Kammy said cackling with glee. "Imagine what it's like down in your kingdom! Your subjects must be so upset because their wishes aren't granted!"

"They deserve it for betraying our people all those years ago!"

"First of all, not all Koopas are  on your side!" Peach snapped, "Second of all, Bowser, it was YOUR father that broke our alliance! Not mine!"

"It's clear you're stuck in the past, sweetie," said Bowser, ignoring her rage, "But if you ever want anything, all you need to do is ask me. I can grant wishes after all."

"Just know, that I'll only grant requests that I like... Anyway, think about it."

"We're watching you, missy," Kammy snarled "Don't even get funny ideas."

Bowser and Kammy left Peach's room as they laughed about their victory. Leaving Peach alone, she turns towards the window and looks up at the night sky. While she knew Bowser had the Star Rod, she still had to try and wish for help. The more she thought of her wish, she began to sing.

Peach:

I don't know if you can hear me, or if you're even there

I don't know if you would listen to my prayer

Yes, I know Bowser took the Star Rod

 I can't make a wish to you

Still, I think of you and wonder,

Have you granted a hard wish, too?

Peach walked back to her bed as she sat down and continued.

God help the outcasts, hungry from birth

Show them the mercy, they don't find on earth

God help my people, we look to you still

God help the outcasts, or nobody will

Peach began to daydream of when she heard some wishes, and while they're not selfish, they felt personal wishes.

Various Toads, Goombas, and Koopas:

I ask for wealth, I ask for fame

I ask for glory to shine on my name

I ask for love, I can possess!

I ask for God and his angels

To bless me!

Peach:

I ask for nothing, I can get by

But I know so many less lucky than I

Please help my people, the poor and downtrod

I thought we all were, the children of God

God help the outcasts, children of God

Peach finished the last verse as she gazed into the sky, hoping for someone to help her.

"If only someone could help me."

Peach went back to her bed to get some rest. But then, she heard tapping at her balcony window. Curious, she walks over and sees a Star Kid outside her room, so she lets him in.

"Hello, Princess Peach!" the Star Kid said, "Pleased to meet you! My name is Twink."

"Hello... You're a Star Kid, aren't you?" she asked, "How'd you get here?"

"I came from Star Haven to grant your wish!" Twink answered, "It's our job to grant wishes you know."

"Oh! You came because I wished that somebody could help me?" Peach asked with hope in her eyes.

"Yes, of course!"

"Oh, that's just great! Thank you so much for coming!" Peach exclaimed.

"You're welcome!" Twink replied.

"Now... How do I put this?" Peach took a minute to think of a wish. "Can you take back the Star Rod from Bowser?"

Twink was already perplexed by that wish.

"Uh... sorry," he said, "That's a little much for a novice Star like me... Maybe one of the honorable Star Spirits from Star haven could grant a wish like that. I'm so sorry. Please, ask for something easy, something a small Star can do."

"Then... Can you take me away from here?" she asked. "Everyone in my castle has been captured and without Mario to help, I need to save them as soon as possible."

Unfortunately, Twink couldn't get himself to grant that wish either.

"I'm sorry," he responded, "I can't grant that wish either, I'm afraid. You see, I just got called up to the sky a day ago, so I can't do big wishes yet. If I were a more splendid Star, maybe I could help."

"It's alright, Twink," Peach assured the Star Kid, "I'm still upset by the fact that Bowser possibly killed Mario, I just hope he's not dead."

But at that moment, a thought struck Peach for a wish.

"Twink, do you think you can find Mario?" she asked, "If he's alive, tell him that I'm unharmed for now. But he shouldn't worry, I'll try to find out where Bowser imprisoned the Star Spirits."

Now that, was a wish Twink could grant as he smiled brightly.

"OK! I'll do it!" he answered, "I'll fly down to the Mushroom Kingdom as fast as I can!"

As Peach followed twink up to her balcony, she thought about Mario. Hoping he's safe, wherever he is.
