What's one more person looking down on him, would probably be the real question.

"My aunt.. uh.." he thought of ways to say it, "we had a really bad movie night".

"So bad that you should've been hospitalized??" Strange asked, perplexed as to how a movie could relate to this hell.

Peter nodded, seemingly holding back tears. Sure, some broken glass and whatnot contributed from Tony's entrance the other day, and some fun little Spidermaning the days before, but he never realized how little he wanted to talk about it until now. Having someone know was different thag telling someone.

With Tony, he'd talked so long that it just felt like another thing to list at a grocery store. Nearly rehearsed or something, but going at it raw and unplanned?

It sucks.

"She uh.. that's what we called it when she'd.." he tried forcing the words out, but they wouldn't come.

Realization dawned on Stephen's face anyways, pausing him mid-stitch on wound numero dos.

"You mean she.." he trailed off.

"Beat the living shit out of me, yeah" Peter pushed all of his confidence out to say that, regretting it almost instantly, still adding a heartless chuckle at the end for 'oomf'.

"Does Tony-"

"Yeah, he knows. I don't think he wanted you to know though. Not by him, at least. Probably to wait till I'm comfortable or whatever" Peter was still grateful for that, but worried that maybe Tony had another reason why he didn't tell Stephen.

Not like it mattered anymore though, secret was already out.

Gosh, it felt like just yesterday his aunt had turned on Toy Story. He would never be able to sit through that movie again.

In reality, it was about an entire week. He'd been in the hospital and Reginald's house and all that, but the fact that his scars weren't healing as fast we're getting him on edge.

"I take it was a little bit ago you got out. Couple weeks?" Stephen guessed, somehow directly landing the train of thought Peter was about to enter.

Peter debating telling him, wether or not a week would be passable, or if three weeks wouldn't be too unbelievable.

"Uh.. you could say that".

Stephen raised an eyebrow at that.

Peter winced as the wizard tied a knot on the third wound, carefully snipping off the excess wire.

"You can uh.. ask Tony" Peter deflected, hoping Tony would have the time to come up with a better excuse, "I'm not ready to talk about it too much yet".

Stephen just nodded again, carefully moving to the next largest cut to clean out.

Minus a couple gasp here and there, along with some clearly suppressed sounds of agony, Stephen was both surprised and concerned and Peter's near-silence under what he knew to probably be excruciating pain for the past while.

Stephen didn't want to just stop though, even if Peter was in a lot of pain. Some decisions require bulldozing through it, otherwise it might get worse.
