Hell, at this point he almost wished to go back! Then at least he'd have hope that things could get better! Run on the constant stress to keep him alive, because that was essentially his whole will to live at that point.
Now? Now he was just stuck here! Flying over the city, probably some blood or drool slipping down to unsuspecting individuals below him. Tony went slow, not wanting to make Peter unable to breathe/freeze due to speed and altitude, which wasn't working so well in his current state.
Peter was in a daze, idly starring down to the people below as his mind raced on.
It was his fault.
Peter finally got some good hope for the future. He wanted to believe that once May was gone, he'd get a normal life. It was clear that that wasn't the case now. Peter was the cause of the problems. Not even a full week after she had gone, he already blew up his healer's house, apparently befriended who mr Stark believed was a murderer, and scared the hell out of one of his few 3 3/4 friends.
Peter really was the screw up.

Tony's suit gave a small 'tink' sound as it softly landed. Reginald was set in a chamber for later questioning. Tony was sick of waiting.
The suit dispersed around him, still holding Peter in his arms. The crying hadn't slowed, and that wasn't a good sign.
Tony, slightly strained by the sudden weight in his arms his suit had previously been holding, carried Peter over to one of the wider couches. Setting him down softly, he left Peter there for a moment while he went to go get opener snacks.
In the kitchen, Tony found Bucky chatting with Nebula. He ignored them blissfully as he grabbed some juice boxes he'd stockpiled on for whenever Peter came back, which happened to be now.
On top of that, Tony grabbed a supply of frozen burritos he set in two of the microwaves. He sat on the counter, tapping rhythmically as he went on. Nebula and Bucky tried to be a bit quieter now that Tony was here, so being the man he was, Tony began to eavesdrop.
"I can't find him. The news.. you saw it earlier today yes?" Bucky muttered, his shoulder shielding their conversation.
"Yes, and I am infuriated. I wanted to wait for you to help me though, because you are as angry as I am. You deserve revenge too. It is sweeter than the movies say. I checked the hospital for him as well, he was not there. I know this because I threatened them. I thought they were lying, which they were not." Nebula replied, "Do not let Tony hear you though, I don't think his viewpoint on murder is as open as ours" She attempted whispering, which did not have the desirable effect.
Bucky looked at Tony with the expression that he knew Tony heard.
Normally, Tony would absolutely get himself involved, and possibly start a war between himself and Bucky over a misunderstanding, but right now he had a crying teen that wasn't allowed to be alone for over 2 minutes, which just so happened to be the amount of time needed to cook the burritos.
The beeping of said burritos completion had Tony hop off of the counter and collect his treasures, ignoring Bucky's confused reaction to the total disregard of a concerning conversation he'd normally inject himself into.
