"I-.. I apologize again, I had mistaken your presence as that of a criminal of some sort. I am not used to children being on the property while master Eugene is at school" Reginald explained, now staring slightly more suspiciously at Peter.

Peter nodded, relaxing slightly. Maybe Reginald doubled as security? There didn't seem to be anyone else in the house. Peter felt dumb for not coming to that conclusion sooner.

Reginald, on the other hand, was a fairly perceptive dude. He'd clearly done some sorts of combat training or something, maybe military, but it was worryingly obvious to see the wreck of a kid in front of him being braced for a fight steadier and more calculating than full grown men. Reginald couldn't decide if he should feel sympathy for the child, or worried that he wasn't so wrong about the intruder concept as he'd once thought.

"Shall I make lunch, sir?" Reginald decided, hoping if the latter was the case, that Peter would certainly have a struggle in reaching whatever goal he came to accomplish. If not, then it was almost 2 hours past noon, so Reginald was already overdue on serving his guest.

Peter nodded briskly, feeling embarrassed now. He'd never lived in a weirdly rich home like this, he didn't know what he was supposed to expect and ignore. Was this a normal thing? Butler the Vampire slayer? Just replacing vampires with intruders? Just a normal Butler having secret skills in a violent aspect? Maybe he had some sort of weird but smart mentor, and two best friends who had a crush on each other. Maybe Peter was going too far with this thought. Best shove that aside.

They made their way to the kitchen. While Reginald was busy being illegally good at cooking, Peter pulled out his phone.
