The shouting coming from downstairs was loud enough to be heard throughout the whole neighborhood, June's breathing erratic as she listened to Sarah scream. The March girl had given up on trying to pull the handcuff off, her wrist having sliced open a bit and deterring her from trying anymore.

She was laid on the bed, the girl staring up at the ceiling as she tried to think of a way out, as she tried to use her brain. Reasoning with Rafe was off the table, he had already made his mind up. She had no phone and even if she hadn't left it on the truck, it was dead. Sarah said that the boys were outside but that didn't mean anything, considering Sarah was now being held captive by Rafe as well. June got an idea, pushing herself up from the bed and getting as close to the window as she could. She stretched her arm out, unlocking the window and trying with all of her strength to push it open. She pulled her handcuffed arm, the entire bed moving slightly, her eyes widening as it did so.

June shifted her weight, pulling the bed as much as she could across the floor, the wooden posts scraping across the floor. June was breathing heavily, the sweat gathering on her forehead and the nape of her neck as she got close enough to the window to push it open. Her eyes strained as she looked for any sign of the boys, her eyes catching onto something just on the other side of the wall.

"What the hell is this?!" June heard from behind her, her head turning as she caught sight of Rose in the doorway. The blonde woman had her mouth dropped open,  she clearly hadn't expected June to be there.  "June?"

"Please help me." June whispered, her eyes going to her handcuffed hand. Rose followed her gaze, her eyebrows furrowing at the sight of her slightly bloody wrist. The older woman walked over, her eyes wide as she was left speechless, unsure of what to do.

"Rose I can explain." The two women both turned to look at a guilty looking Rafe. He took a few steps inside, his hands already going to pull at his hair as Rose spoke.

"Rafe you can't do this. You cant- did you kidnap her?" The woman asked, June gulping at the look on Rafes face. A moment later the look fell, his eyes softening as he looked at June and then back at Rose.

"I can't leave without her. I cant-Rose I-I love her. I can't do it. She has to come with us."  Rafe said in all sincerity, Rose noticing this along with June. The girl in question gulped, hoping that Rose could talk some sense into him, get her out. If she didn't, all hope was lost.

"Against her will?!  I told you to stay out of trouble."

"She was in the way! I had no choice. B-but leaving her isn't a choice either." Rafe stuttered, his eyes stuck to Roses face.

"Rafe we cannot take June March. Do you hear yourself?! You sound insane. We can't!" Rose argued, not quite for June but for the legal issues that would come with it if they were caught.

"Then I'm not going. It's either me and her, or neither." Rose considered this threat for a moment, remembering what she was doing all of this for. To keep the family together. She crossed her arms over her chest, the realization of what she about to do hitting her hard as she bent what little morals she had left.

"How do you plan to get her on the boat huh? Think for a minute! How-"

"How do you plan on getting Sarah on the boat?" Rafe said, his eyebrows raising as he did his psychotic eye thing. June grimaced as she once again noticed that she wasn't getting out, Rose would take her so that Rafe would go, and Rafe wouldn't go unless he had June. Roses face contorted as she looked back at June, the guilt on her face telling the March girl everything she needed to know.

"Rose please. Please don't. Please I won't say anything! I won't say anything!" June pleaded, the sheer panic on her face almost making Rafe feel bad. One day she would thank him for this. One day she would appreciate it.

Rose gave the girl a sad smile, shaking her head as she walked towards the door. She grabbed Rafe on the way out, the boy sending June a half smile as he was pulled from the room. There were hushed whispers in the hallway, it sounded as if they were arguing, and then footsteps, June was alone again. She felt a pang in her chest, her feeling of being stuck being so overwhelming that she wanted to puke.

It was only a good ten minutes later when Rafe came back, a tea cup in his hands as he closed the door behind him. June backed away from him dramatically, Rafe stopping in his tracks as he looked at her.

"I brought you a drink." Rafe said, lifting the tea cup and giving her a tight smile. June suddenly felt the dryness in her mouth, the possibility of a drink making her want to accept it. But it was from Rafe, and the unexpected kindness was not something she would easily let go.

"I'm not thirsty." She spit, Rafe shaking his head at her words.

"Why are you so angry? I-I don't understand." June's mouth dropped open at his words, her eyes narrowing as he said it, pure disbelief on her face as she spoke. He had to be joking at this point.

"You don't understand? Rafe you kidnapped me?! What is so hard to understand about me being angry?! You literally kidnapped me!" She shouted, her face turning red as anger filled her to the brim.  "You're psychotic Rafe! A sociopath if iv-"

Rafe cut her off by grabbing her by the chin, his fingers wandering down to the frantic pulse on her neck. He squeezed, using the hand to make her open her mouth. He poured the tea down her throat, his jaw clenched and teeth grit as he waited for her to just shut up. She was the last person he needed to hear calling him crazy.

June tried to spit it out, but most of it still trickled down her throat, she had no choice but to swallow it. June closed her eyes in defeat as Rafe let go of her, his eyes wide as he put the teacup on the dresser. It was only about a minute before June could feel the effects of whatever it was in the tea, her knees wobbling as her body became weak.

"Why?" She whispered, trying to stay standing as long as possible as he watched her from the dresser. He walked over to her, pulling the key from his pocket and unlocking the handcuff, his eyes holding pure emotion and love as he caught her when her knees gave out. "Why are you doing this to me?" June whispered, her lip quivering as Rafe held her. He brushed the hair out of her face, shushing her before he spoke.

"It's gonna be okay. It's all gonna be okay." Rafe watched as she lost consciousness, a breath of relief leaving his lips as he held her on the floor. He was glad that she wouldn't be fighting anymore. He pushed the rest of her hair out of her face, a small smile on his lips as he lifted her from the floor, laying her on the bed and putting the blanket over her. He admired her for a moment, the tear tracks on her face making his heart ache. He turned away, a thought coming to his head before he turned back, walking over to her. He pressed a kiss to her forehead, a smile on his lips before making his way back towards the door. He sent her one more glance before heading out of the room, closing the door behind him.
