G-et into God's Word

Hebrews 2:9-18

'But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says, "I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises." And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again he says, "Here am I, and the children God has given me." Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.'

R-eflect into God's Word

How do we approach when we encounter someone who does not have homes to live in and no food to eat on the streets?

There was a trending people today who do the vlogs for those homeless people and act like one of them, there they interview and talk to them and after that, they reveal and offer help for them.

Jesus also did that for us. God himself the creator of the universe chose to confine himself to the vulnerable state of a baby, to live as a human, to experience what we all experience, and to ultimately die at the hand of humans so that we can experience a relationship with God.

The writer of the book Hebrews stated that Jesus "shared in our humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death - that is the devil" (v.14). Jesus was made lower than the angels, even though his their creator (v.9). He became human and died, even though He's immortal. He's suffered for us, even though He's the all-powerful God. why would he do this? so that he could help us when we go through temptations and bring reconciliation between us and God (v.17-18).

O-bey to transform

I'll ask again a question for us to grow. Have we tried to offer help to others? or have we encounter someone who did help for us?
Whatever it might be, let's us be reminded knowing that God understands our humanity and that's already provided the way for us to be cleansed from our sins.

W-restle in prayer

Thank Jesus for His sacrifice. And let him use you to let others experience the love and forgiveness from him so it can affect their life today and your life too.
