G - et into God's Word
Genesis 3:1-10

'Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' " "You will not certainly die," the serpent said to the woman. "For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?" He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." '

R - eflect into God's Word

What do we do when we've done something wrong? Did we accept it? avoid it? or the best way we can is to hide it?

A child, when they've done something wrong, they have the attitude to hide and conceal what they've done because they were afraid that their parents would be mad at them.

In Genesis 3:1-10, Adan and Eve knew that they've done something wrong from the Lord. They knew that after listening and do what the serpent told them to do. In that case, they had they're choosing to hid because they were guilty of what they've done. But they didn't know that even they hid among on the trees of the garden, God knows where are they and what they've done.

When we realize we've done something wrong, we often want to avoid the consequences. We run from it, conceal it, or close our eyes to the truth. While God will hold us accountable to His righteous standard, He sees us and seeks us because He loves us and offers forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

O - bey to transform

When we've done something wrong, let us not hide from it, nor conceal or run from it. Instead, we can come to God who knows what we've done. Even if we hide it from others, He still knows what is it. Let's humbly ask for forgiveness and admit that we've done wrong.

Like Adan and Eve, the Lord became mad at them because of not being obedient to His commands but still, the Lord forgives what they've done because He is a forgiving God. He loves us and cares for us.

W - restle in Prayer

In our lives, may we realize that when we've done something wrong, we can always ask God to forgive us. Pray and humbly ask God for His love to abound in us. Let us not shut our eyes from the truth.
