G-et into God's Word

Galatians 4:1-7

'What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, " Abba, Father." to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. '

R-eflect into God's Word

For others, Being adopted is negative. They feel unloved, looking for their true family. There are many children who abandoned by their parents, living in the orphanage or in the custody of their relatives. They were growing up with empty love from their true parents.
But there are also a couple, individuals, who wants to give their love to the orphans that's why they make an adoption. There, they give love and care to the orphan and show their love as a true parent to them.

We know, we also an orphan. Even we had this family here on earth, We all have this emptiness and longingness in our personality and that can only be found in our true Father - God.
If we are a child of God, We already know this. In Galatians 4:1-7, God expounds His love for us. Just as He sent His son Jesus to redeem us, not as an end itself, but that we might receive adoption to sonship (v.4-5).

Just like those couples and individuals who tried to adopt and show their love to the orphans as their true child, God had this intention too. His love and care are greater than the love and care of those adoptive parents.

Apostle Paul refers to us as "sons" because in his day it was common for sons to inherit their father's wealth. His point is that now everyone who puts their faith in Jesus, whether man or woman, becomes a "son" of God with equal and full rights of inheritance (v.7)

God does not merely want to save us. He also wants us to be part of His family (Rev.3:12), and He called us His child. We can't found this love in the people around us or in the people who are important to us, only in Him we found the true Fatherly love. We are not merely blessed by God, He called us His "child".

O-bey to transform

Now ask this question to yourselves,
Have I longed for a true love of family? How do I respond now that I belong to the family of God? As an adoptive child, I am blessed and called His child.

Meditate and think about how we respond to the love God gave us as His child.

W-restle in Prayer

Now that we know we are part of God's family and we are a child of God, ask God that we may do our part to bring and back to Him all the love and praises. Ask to have faith every day.
