G-et into God's Word

Romans 8:9-17

'You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, " Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. '

R-eflect into God's Word

What was your true identity?
When someone asks us of what our identity, we commonly told them from where family we came from, on what field our family was in, or how known our family.

But do we know that our true identity is being a child of God?

Apostle Paul wanted the people in the church at Rome to understand that their identity was based on being adopted members of God's family (v.15). We have been born in the spirit (v.14), no longer did we need to be enslaved to things that didn't really matter. Rather, through the gift of the Spirit, we are "heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ" (v.17).

Paul clearly explains to the people of Rome their true identity. But it is not only for them but also for us who follow and serve God. Our true identity from Him provides our foundation and shapes how we see ourselves and the world. By knowing that we are part of God's family, we can get help from God to confidently share His gospel and reveal our true identity to others. We learn to trust, go out of our comfort zones and be confident in what God wants us to do, and let him guide our decisions without seeking other's approval.

Now, have you realized what your true identity is? Hopefully so.

O-bey to transform

We are not simply called as a child of God.
Not only because we are His child, we can do anything we want, No! being a child of God also requires our passion, our worship, our service, and our devotion to giving God's glory. How? by following and being obedient to His word and His command.
As a child, we must take and accept teachings from His word, We let him guide our steps and teach us until we get through to the right person He wants us to be.

W-restle in Prayer

Being a child of God is a lifetime privilege. that soon we can be with God eternally.
Whenever we ate lost by the pattern of this world and being astray from God's child. Don't forget to call Him and ask Him to strengthen your heart and devotion for Him.
Pray that we may be aware of the enemy's way to get us.
