The so called "green" smoothies have sprung up and become fairly popular in the past year or so. Many say they help you to loose weight quick, they're super healthy, and taste amazing. Personally, ive wanted to try one of these myself a long time but I've never known how much of what to include. Well I found the perfect recipe for a "green" smoothie! Keep reading to find out how to create your own perfect "green" smoothie!

1. GREENS
Amount = 1/2 to 2 cups
Options:
- spinach
- kale
- chard
- mixed baby greens
2. LIQUID
Amount = 1 cup
Options:
- fruit juice
- water
- milk
- drinkable yogurt or kefir
- non-dairy milk
3. FRESH FRUIT
Amount = up to 1 cup
Options:
- mango
- berries
- melon
- banana
- pineapple
4. FROZEN GOODIES
Amount = up to 1 cup
Options:
- ice
- frozen strawberries
- frozen cherries
- frozen melon
- frozen pineapple
5. PROTEIN
Amount = optional
Options:
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1-2 T spoons peanut butter
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
6. FLAVOR BOOSTERS
Amount = optional
Options:
- ginger
- cinnamon
- vanilla extract
- cocoa powder
