Not The One For Me
(Let's pretend its the next day bc I'm stupid enough to write it in the last chapter the as same day)
I WAITED FOR ELLIE to come down and meet me for our coffee date... was it a date? I tossed my balance from one foot to another and paused when I saw her coming down the short pair of stairs with a white shirt, jean jacket, and black leggings on with a huge grin on her face. She steps up and hugs me tightly, "Thanks for agreeing to go with me"
"No problem El, I'm more than happy to go" We walk down the path and bump into Bruce and shockingly Odessey.
"Hey Hey! Look who we ran into babe," He says throwing an arm around Odessey and she interlocks their fingers "Is this one of your friends?" She says in a soft voice, "Hi I'm Cardan" I say and throwing a hand for her to shake. She takes it and shakes it swiftly, "Odessey, but you can call me Des" She spoke returning her hold to Bruce's hand. "How about we go on a double date? It's my babys' last day here before she goes back to the city and does big things" Bruce suggests and Odessey grins, "That's a wonderful idea, Darling"
I look at Ellie to see her tense before she grins slightly and shrugs a 'Why not' at me, "Sure, we were going to get coffee but maybe we'll do something else" After a short debate between the four of us we end up deciding to go to a trampoline park suggested once again by Bruce the manchild. I take Ellie to the Range Rover I was gifted by Finn so I could get around easier and she gets into the passenger seat and runs her hands over the leather red interior. I drop the key into the console and the car turns on.
I put in the directions and follow until we get to a place called 'Jump Till You Drop' I park the car next to Bruce's motorcycle, and see Des and Bruce standing outside the door, Bruce opens the door for us and we all enter.
I put my vans into the little box they give us and stay in my black socks, I see a trampoline basketball court. We set in teams and Bruce and Odessey dominate us since they work efficiently with each other. It's pretty freaky how they talk with their eyebrows but funny at the same time.
After jumping around and getting hit and dodging dodge balls a lot we all decide to cool off by eating pizza and playing some games in the arcade.
"So Ellie, how's Grim treating you? I know it must be hard being around all those stuck ups"
"Hey!" I and Bruce say and Des just shrugs and grins, "It's actually going well, except for all the work I'm getting" She scoffs and rolls her eyes playfully, and we all laugh. We arrive and step on top of the carpet of the arcade. A bunch of high school-looking kids are lined up to play different games and parents are watching over their little ones from the sidelines. We get the unlimited card for 15 dollars each, I pay for mine and Ellies.
