Lexie

I swung the door to the Sheriff's station, and rather than being greeted by the female deputy at the front desk, she was nowhere to be seen. It was around 2 am, so I guess she was taking a break or something. I didn't bother to stick around long and instead rushed down the hallways to the Sheriff's office. I flung the door open and three sets of eyes landed on me.

Scott, Stiles and the Sheriff were all staring at a computer screen. Stiles' dad turned to his son and narrowed his eyes at him, "you called Lexie?"

"Dad, she was the one who helped us with this before. And besides, she'll probably be the one to convince you that we are right."

"Fine," the Sheriff gave in as he settled in his seat and I rounded the desk to see if I could help with anything.

Stiles started filling me in on what they had found, Scott dialled his mom's number and placed his phone on the desk so he could put it on speaker phone, because from what it looks like on the security tapes from the hospital, Matt had talked to Melissa McCall just before he want and killed Jessica, the pregnant girl.

"Scott, you know how many people I deal with in a day?" his mom's voice echoed over the phone and I had to admit, she had a point. There was no way she was gonna remember Matt, she's an nurse, not a spy.

"This one's 16 he's got dark hair, looks like a normal teenager." oh yeah, that really helps Scott, you just described yourself and Stiles.

Stiles leaned in and smirked, "Yeah, he looks evil."

I heard Melissa sigh loudly on the other end, clearly she didn't liked to be bugged about these kind of things when she's working. "Scott, I already talked to the police about this."

"Okay, mom, I'm gonna take a picture and send it to you." he took a quick photo of Matt's yearbook picture. Stiles had circled him in red marker and put an arrow off to the side, highlighting his name, he was very determined about these things. "Did you get it?"

"Yeah."

"Do you recognize him? Do you remember him?" Scott questioned his mom and I hear her sigh loudly again, she was too tired and overworked to be thinking about this.

"Yeah, I did. I mean, I remember I stopped him because he was tracking mud in the hall. Scott, what's going on?" mud, from the trailer site, it's gotta be from there.

"It's-it's nothing, mom. I'll explain later. I gotta go." Scott ended the call and Stiles glanced at his dad.

"We've got shoe prints alongside the tire tracks at the trailer site." I knew it. If the sheriff can match Matt's dirty shoes to them shoeprints, he's done and he's going down.

"And if they match, that puts Matt at the scene of three murders. The trailer, the hospital, and the rave." Stiles listed as his dad shook his head.

"Actually, four. A credit card receipt for an oil change was signed by Matt at the garage where the mechanic was killed."

"When?" I asked, that meant that Matt also killed the mechanic and that he was there.

"A couple hours before you two got there." Stiles and I looked at each other, it made me shiver slightly, it was weird that we were piecing together the final pieces of the puzzle and soon this could all be over.

"All right, dad, if one's an incident, two's a coincidence, and three's a pattern, what's four?"

I swallowed the lump in my throat and turned to the Sheriff. "Four should be enough for a warrant, right?"

He nodded and swivelled in his chair as he pointed at Scott with his pen, "Scott, call your mom back, see how quick she can get here. If I can get an official ID, I can get a search warrant." he then glanced over at us and pointed to the door, "Stiles take Lexie go to the front desk. Tell them to let Scott's mom in when she gets here."
