Violet's POV -

I shake the feeling of vulnerability away. Vulnerability is weakness and I have to be strong. I then lead Theo to my kitchen area and see what I have in the fridge. There's not much, but I find some frozen pizza and decide isn't good enough. I warm it up in the microwave and call Theo over for the meal since he's wondered away to my bedroom.

As we sit at the table, I notice multiple scars on his arms. "Let's play the question game" I say trying to make conversation. "I thought you weren't a 'game' type" he says while stuffing a slice of pizza down his throat. "You thought wrong" I reply.

He clears his throat and states that he'll go first. "What's your favourite colour?" He asks. "Black, easy. But some greens." I reply. He nods in satisfaction.

"What's yours?" I ask him. "Very dark blue" he answers. "Favourite food?" He asks simply. "Ummm... Sushi or Italian. Obviously not together." I tell him.

I decide to dig deeper; these facts aren't satisfying my curiosity. I take a deep breath. "How did you get those scars?" I ask him, pointing at his arm.

He takes a deep breath, similarly to me. "Do you know why I was so interested in your strength?" He asks me.

"It's not your turn in the question game." I smirk.

"Then let's stop playing the question game." He states sternly. "Okay?" I question. Whatever he's about to say it obviously extremely serious.

"When I started living in the tree in the park, I would watch gangs who beat up people. A lot of people. For 2 months I counted how many people were beat up throughout the day, and night.

70 people. In just 2 months. I decided that this has to be stopped, not only in the park but everywhere. So I've collected a group of 15 people who all have different bases who help victims.

We record the bullies and keep pictures of them in a high security office where we analyse how many times they've done it and eventually we can send them to jail.

We started a month ago and we've saved approximately 160 people who could have been killed or beaten up."

Once he had finished his long speech I was astonished. This strange, shady character only hid in the shadows to help people. "Does the society know about your group." I ask. "No" He answers. So this is a secret community.

"What about you're scars." I ask. "I got them helping people." I answers looking at them.

For a long time there was silence. "I want you to join our group" he says looking right into my eyes. I have a job as a dentist secretary but to be honest, I don't like it. I look into his eyes in a similar way. After pondering my oppositions for a few minutes I answer.

My answer is---

Ah cliffhanger! Is Violet going to risk this? It's dangerous and all she wants is a normal life, and this sure isn't normal!
