Hogwarts raged with battle, and teachers and members of the Order and students fought fiercely to save Hogwarts, and everyone and everything they loved. Remus, one of the few people to see both the Wizarding Wars, fought with every bit of strength too.
Today the war would end, for the better or the worse.
Neither will live while the other survives.
Harry had to be the one to survive, and that's why they all fought. They needed to protect him.
Remus fell to dueling with Antonin Dolohov. A girl's scream distracted him for a moment. As Remus turned to check who it was, "Avada Kedavra!" said Dolohov.
Remus fell, too, finally—the last Marauder fell.
