On the last day of the year, Minerva McGonagall felt wistful as she saw off the outgoing students.

Her all time favourite student James Potter came over to her with his trademark grin. "We'll miss you, Professor."

"I hope I will never get troublemakers like you and Black, Potter," said Professor McGonagall drily.

Sirius came up too. "There'll be Prongs' son, Professor," he said, grinning too.

Their teacher gave them a rare smile. "Be a little better behaved in your workplaces."

"Goodbye, Professor!" Remus came over to join his friends.

"Yes, goodbye, Lupin. See that your friends don't get out of hand. Where is Miss Evans?"

"Here, Professor!"

"Take care of yourselves, all of you."

When the seventh years were going out, Professor McGonagall reflected that Hogwarts would miss the Marauders, who had broken every single rule of the school, and were yet somehow indispensable.
