"Babe," I called through the apartment as I walked in. There was no response. "Daniel?" I called again. Once again there was no response. I shrugged and figured he wasn't home. I started cleaning up the groceries when I heard someone groaning. My heart started beating fast as I walked toward the bedroom.
"Fucking hell," I heard Daniel curse. My jaw dropped. I opened the door slowly, scared of what I would find. I sighed relieved when I saw Daniel sitting on the bed on his own, a playstation controller in his hands.
"Into it?" I joked. He stopped the game and looked at me confused. "I heard you groan from the kitchen," I chuckled. I walked over to the bed and sat down next to him.
"I didn't realise that," He laughed. "But yeah, I was pretty into it, Call of Duty is very stressful," He stated sarcastically.
"As stressful as picking a name for our baby?"
"Almost," He smiled shaking his head. He pulled me onto his lap, kissing my neck.
"Daniel, not now," I whined.
"Hmm," He mumbled ignoring what I said.
"I've got groceries to clean up, a floor to sweep and a bathroom to clean," I continued.
"That can all wait," He mumbled again. "You work too hard," He said pulling the straps of my bra down my shoulder.
"Well, someone's gotta do it," I teased, but actually I was serious. All Daniel had done ever since he moved in was game, go out with the boys and distract me from doing anything else.
"Hmm," He mumbled again. I sighed.
"Let's try to pick a babyname," I suggested. He just continued leaving hickeys on my neck.
"Let's make one instead."
I rolled my eyes. "Daniel," I said in a whiny tone.
"Sounds like a great name," he chuckled and started tugging my shirt upwards. I stood up. "Nooo, baby," He pouted. He pulled me back by grabbing my hand. He wrapped his arms around me and placed a kiss on my belly.
"Fine, what did you have in mind for our litrle tough guy," He said, looking up at me.
"I don't know," I said. "I thought maybe, if you're okay with it, we could mix something with your family as like a middle name?"
"Like what?"
"Jeff and Keri, Jerry? I thought maybe your parents would like it," I smiled awkwardly. His smile grew bigger.
"They would love that," He grinned proudly.
"Since your parents are the only grandparents he'll have," I softly stated.
"Hey," He placed a hand on my cheek. "Your parents will always be with us, and with our litrle guy."
I smiled, knowing he was right. "Yeah."
"What about a first name?" He asked. I shrugged.
"I mean, I like Liam," I questioned. "But I don't really know, yet."
"We still have time, so don't worry about it," He pecked my cheek. I nodded.
"You're right."
