"You're going to the thing after school right?" your friend asks.
"Yeah. I volunteer every time anyway. There's always like ten people who go..."
"Well, mianhae~. I don't think I can make it tonight. Some of the people that volunteered also said they won't go either..."
"Yah wae?~"
"Mianhae unnie~ There is a new restaurant downtown. Practically everyone is going... Unnie, you should go too, hmm? Opening night has discount..."
"Aniyo~ I already volunteered. It's okay. Maybe another time, arreso?"
"Arreso~ But you're probably going to be the only one unnie~ Everyone said they weren't going..."
"Arreso~ arreso~ It's fine. Annyeong."

"Thank you so much for coming today. The kids are very excited. We have different activities today."
"Aniyo~ Gwenchana~ I am ready for today..."
"Ne~ The kids wanted to paint last week but we couldn't. So we will be doing it today. Also we will be serving snacks. Then you can just hand out. After the kids fall asleep, we clean up. Arreso?"
"Ne~ It will be hard work for myself, but it's okay~"
"Aniyo~ One person from your school is also coming..."
"Jeongmalyo?"
"Ne~ He called in and said to be few minutes late. Let's get started?"

"Yah kids~ Let's get started." You start an example with the kids. Today they were going to do hand painting.

You usually volunteer often. You give back to the community often. You volunteer at shelters, centers, homes, and orphanages often. Your dream is to become a nurse. You like helping others.

"Annyeonghaseyo you guys!~"

You look up to find a guy at the door. Do Kyungsoo.

"Annyeonghaseyo! Sorry I am late! I bought presents for everyone! Annyeong! Annyeong!" He comes closer and sets his bags on the table. "Sorry I am late. Did you guys do a lot?"

"Umm..umm..aniyo. We just started painting."
"Arreso." He looks at the kids. "Kids! Let's start! Arreso?"
"Ne!~"

After few hours of painting with eleven kids, it was time to eat. Kyungsoo was hanging up the pictures. You run to the kitchen to prepare. Kyungsoo walks in.

"I bought the kids snacks as presents. They love sweets." You look into the bags. He brought Chocopies and dalgonas."
"Oh ne~ We can serve them after we pass out the kimchi, gimbap, and water."

"Thank you for the meal!" everyone says. You sit in the corner table, where you can still watch everyone. You enjoy your meal with Kyungsoo's snacks too. You look over to find Kyungsoo playing games with the kids like kai bai boh.

You walk over to kitchen to grab some more water. You walk back to your table to find Kyungsoo there.

"Oh annyeong. Sorry again I came late.."
"Aniyo~ Gwenchana~"
"You didn't want to go that event downtown?"
"No. I thought since I already volunteered, I wouldn't back out. And I like doing these kind of things. Volunteering..."
"Really? Haha same here. My friends tried to pressuring me to going but I told them maybe another time. Because I thought no one would come today."
"Ahhh I see."
"Do I know you? Don't we have umm..."
"Math class together..."
"Ah! I remember now. You're few desks behind me?"
"Ne~"
"It's nice to see you again. You can use banmal with me. It's okay."
"Huh..oh yeh~"

He smiles brightly and continues to eat. The kids keep walking over to Kyungsoo, to play games with him. You watch and enjoy seeing the kids happy.

After long hours of volunteering, you can finally go home and get some rest.

"Yah!" You stop and turn around to see Kyungsoo.
"Oh yeh?~"
"Let's walk together, okay?"
"Huh...umm..."
"Yah~ Let's walk together. You never know what could happen late at night. Arreso?"
"Yeh~"

He smiles as he walks. "Yah~ Why do you like doing these things?" He puts his arm around your shoulder. He startles you.
"Ah umm umm...I want to become a nurse when I get other. I like helping others."
"Oh... For me, I think... Chef... Singer? I love music. And I like cooking."
"Oh... You look like a singer."
"Jinja? Aigoo~ Gomawo~"
"Yeh~ Oh... I can walk from here. Kamsahamnida~" You bow. He waves.

"Yah Unnie~ Mianhae~ But it was so good though! You should of went! The food and entertainment was amazing!"
"Jinja?"
"Ne!~ They had all kinds of food! Steak! Spaghetti! Chicken! And more! The music was really cool! Unnie, you should of went. You must of been lonely yesterday..."
"Yah~ if I went with you, who would of gone to volunteer? And I wasn't alone. Someone else volunteered too."
"Jangmal? Wh-"

You hear the door open loudly. The sound of panting. Everyone surrounds the classmate. You try to look.

Do Kyungsoo.

He walks over while trying to try his breath.

"Unnie~" your friend whispers. "Him? Do Kyungsoo?" You give her a thumbs up.

You look at Kyungsoo as he sits at the desk across from you.

"Yah...yah...do you..." He continues to breathe. "Mianhae~ I ran here... Do you want to hang out after school? The two of us?"
