*Video from Mel's Twitter, Facebook, and E-mail*

"Hi everyone! It's Mel. Or Queen Be, as some people know me as. Um, we're here in one of the vocal training rooms making this video for you. You know, for my family and my friends that live on the other side of the world. So... I actually wrote this song a long time ago, but haven't recorded it until now. I know it's a bit past the Christmas season now, but I still wanted to send you all something.

"So, um, I got permission from the company to record this today, and asked two of my friends from FASE to help me out here. Henry's playing the piano for me... Henry, say Hi."

"Hi everyone! I'm Super Junior-M's Henry."

"And Amber... Amber, turn the camera around so they can see you..."

*Amber turns the camera around and grins and waves before turning it back to Mel and Henry.*

"Amber's in charge of the camera. So... um... yeah. I wrote this song a while ago. It's about how much things have changed in my life. I wanted to let everyone know that I'm okay here. I'm happy here. And that I miss you all, but... I think that this is the place I belong now. Because the Mel that's making this video isn't the same one that got on the plane in Wisconsin. The girl from back then belonged in Wisconsin. The girl of right now is an SM trainee, through and through. I just wanted to tell you that.

"So... that said, I named this song 'Somewhere Far Away'. I'll be playing my ukulele and singing, okay? Henry, ready?"

*Henry shrugs, fingers over the piano keys*

"Amber, ready?"

*A thumbs-up can be seen in the camera screen*

"Okay, here we go..."

*Mel and Henry begin playing, a fairly soft, peaceful and warm tune*

"Car horns and street signs,

Korean voices screaming, talking, whispering,

the foreign thoughts in their minds.

My world is full and beautiful.

How much I love it--

words cannot describe,

but in this wonderful city,

I hide a longing deep inside.

In a home I left behind,

somewhere far away,

across oceans, across time,

my little brother eats his breakfast,

Mother's chickens eat their fill.

The days move on without me,

and they always will.

In the land I left behind,

cows go out to graze.

The air is clear and smells of rain,

and not a smog-filled haze.

Everything here is different,

the words, the life, the land.

I miss the taste of good cheese,

and Great bodies of water without salt or sand.

In a home I left behind,

somewhere far away,

across oceans, across time,

My friends have left their family homes

in hopes of finding their dreams.

They'll find them someday, I know they will,

despite how hopeless it seems.

Mine have already been lost and found.

They're right here, in this distant place.

A new home on foreign ground--

But I know it's now where I belong.

Because in the home I left behind,

everything is much the same.

Life goes on, as it always did

in a quiet home with no chaos of fame.

It is life as always,

as it always should be.

And I cannot burden myself upon it,

because the one who changed... was me."

*The notes fade out, and Mel bows to the camera, then stands up.*

"Thanks to Henry and Amber for helping out, and I hope you all enjoyed. Until next time."

*She signals to Amber to turn off the camera, and the video ends.*
