It was time for the afternoon practice, Kiyoko, Emi, and Hitoka were at the female locker room, changing their uniforms. Hitoka, however, seemed to be troubled by something, and it was noticed by both Kiyoko and Emi.

"Is there something troubling you?" Kiyoko asked first making Hitoka jump.

"By the way, I did play sports, but I had no prior experience with volleyball or being a manager compared to Emi," Kiyoko spoke as if she read Hitoka's mind, "I don't think everyone has to like something before giving a try," Kiyoko continued making both first-years listen attentively to their senior.

"I don't think you need an unwavering will or lofty motive just to get started. Sometimes things that you start on a whim, end up becoming very important to you, too," Kiyoko finished, "To get started, I think you just need a little bit of curiosity."

Emi looked at her senior in awe. Shimizu-senpai is truly an amazing person, Emi thought to herself and reflected on the third year's words.

Balls flew around the court as the girls arrived at the court.

"Ougi West will arrive at 4:30!" Kiyoko said loudly.

"Right!" The boys exclaimed back.

"Hitoka-chan, could you line up some folding chairs on the side of the court?" Kiyoko asked the blond first-year, "Let's see... Eight of them."

"Uh, yes!" Hitoka said.

"If they are too heavy, on at a time is fine. Emi-chan, could you help her too?" Kiyoko asked turning to the long-haired girl.

"Yes!"

"Do you girls need help?" Hinata asked.

"No, I think we are okay. You do your own thing," Hitoka said shyly.

"Got it!" Hinata smiled at Hitoka and Emi before slapping his face, "HMM! I'm not gonna lose today!" Hinata said making Emi smile at his resolution before doing her own job.

"Sorry. That was an inane question," Emi heard Hitoka say when she approched her and Hinata to get more chairs.

"Inane?" Hinata and Kageyama asked confused. Emi looked at them and couldn't help but hold her giggles at their confused faces.

"A foolish, or a comment said to humble oneself after asking such a question! We just went over it the other day!" Tsukishima said when he heard them ask. Emi couldn't help but laugh loudly at Kageyama and Hinata's faces after Tsukishima defined the word.

"Emi! Stop laughing!" Kageyama exclaimed.

"Thank you for having us!" New voices echoed the gymnasium.

"Gather around!" Daichi yelled as he saw the team.

"Yacchan, let's go line up along with them," Emi said softly.

Both teams were warming up before Daichi called all the player to get changed. It was normal for the players to change in front of their managers, so both Kiyoko and Emi weren't fazed at a bunch of boys changing their clothes. Hitoka, though, was not used to it.

"Sorry, Yacchan. But you'll get used to it, don't worry," Emi told her new friend.

"They are like a flock of birds..." Hitoka whispered to herself watching the team interact with one another while they were changing their clothes, but was heard by her fellow first-year.
