Being Honest

MONROE

"Thank you for letting us know, Remus. We will handle it." I spoke in utter shock.

Remus nodded and his picture disappeared through the mirror. Regulus dropped his head down to his desk, "What are we supposed to do, Monroe? The twins, they can't-they can't handle this anymore."

I walked back around to my desk and slouched in my office chair, "I don't know, Reg. They tried to erase Remus' memory. That's their uncle. There is no telling what they would do to any of us, if they were willing to erase his memory."

Regulus pulled his head off of his desk, "ACE!" He called out onto the desk worker outside of our office. Ace Rosier opened the door with his eyebrows raised. Regulus crossed his arms, "Call Sirius, James, and Lily to our office please. Tell them it's urgent."

Ace nodded, "Of course, Mr.Black. Mrs.Black, do you need anything?"

I shook my head no with a soft smile and watched Ace walk out of the office. A few moments later the three people we asked for walked into our office together. Sirius was the only one with a real worried expression on his face.

"Love, what's wrong?"

Standing from my chair, I walked in front of my desk and crossed my arms, "I just got the mirror with Remus. The twins almost killed someone in the astronomy tower, Jaden started boiling a students blood after a game, and the twins tried erasing Remus' memory. After looking into it more, Remus has gathered that the twins think that acting like they agree with Tom is the right thing to do to catch Theo and Pansy."

James' eyes widen for a moment, "What does that have to do with Lily and I though? I love the twins with everything, but what does their actions have to do with us?"

Regulus scoffed, "Your child is the chosen one! It is said he can defeat Tom, but it never said anything about the twins. Harry might be a strong wizard, but the twins can easily kill him if they wanted. The same goes for Jaden. We don't need golden boy going after them trying to help them. It would just get him killed, or him on their hit list."

Lily looked at the ground is disbelief, "Why would the twins need to erase Remus' memory?"

Sirius took one look at me, before turning to his best friends, "Because he told them the truth. Who their wands match with, how to make themselves stronger, and how they are feared."

James let out a little gasp, "I thought we were keeping that from them. The day we all went to get the twins their wands, we all saw who they matched with. All eyes in that store saw and looked at them with fear. It was in the headline of the Daily Prophet. We were supposed to keep them hidden that all of that."

"She already found them, James!" I snapped, "Bellatrix found my kids. The babies I birthed and raised. The kids I protected so well from this world, that some people thought they were dead. I did keep them hidden, but she found them. I told you all he wasn't gone, but none of you believed me! We could have stopped his sooner! If Kade would have just let me die, then none of this would have happen!"

I ran my hands through my hair, "The twins should have never been born. I love my kids with everything I hold, but the moment I knew I was having twins, I knew it went against the wizarding world. Not only was I going to birth another monster like myself, but two. No more than one Airson can be born a year. In 1980, three with Airson blood were born. That went against Merlin's curse on us."

Regulus eyes lit up, "If Grindelwald knew about the first Monroe, then Dumbledore knew as well. If Dumbledore knew, then all the professors know. Minnie knows, Snape now knows, Tom could know everything."
