Astraea was walking along side Hermione looking at her father with longing eyes. She saw Harry talking to him and she wanted to have a chance too. However, she was hesitant; after all, it has been 12 years she has last saw him.

"Go", whispered Hermione. "He needs you".

Astraea looked at her, smiled and then left towards her father. Harry was still talking to him.

"May I interrupt?" she asked shyly and Black was surprised she came.

"Not at all", said Harry. "I'll let you talk"

With that he left. Astraea looked at her father, then at the ground.

"I'm sorry Raea", he began. "For not fighting for you sooner, I was just ashamed"

"Father", she said and the word surprised him again. "There is nothing to forgive, if anything I am sorry for not believing you or fighting for you but things will change now"

"I miss being called Father", he told her.

"Well now you'll be bored of it", she said and hugged him.

"I am filthy", he told her.

"I don't really care", she muttered, hugging him closer.

He hugged her back.

"Does mother know that you are innocent?" she asked him pulling back.

"No", he shook his head.

"What now?" she asked him.

"You, me, your mother -hopefully- Harry and Remus if he wants, can live together", he smiled and her face lightened.

"One wrong move, Peter," said Remus threateningly ahead. His wand was still pointed sideways at Pettigrew's chest. Silently they tramped through the grounds, the castle lights growing slowly larger. Snape was still drifting weirdly ahead of Black, his chin bumping on his chest. And then —

A cloud shifted. There were suddenly dim shadows on the ground. Their party was bathed in moonlight. Snape collided with Remus, Pettigrew, and Ron, who had stopped abruptly. Black froze. He flung out one arm to make Astraea, Harry and Hermione stop.

Astraea could see Remus' silhouette. He had gone rigid. Then his limbs began to shake.

"Oh, my —" Hermione gasped. "He didn't take his potion tonight! He's not safe!"

"Run," Black whispered. "Run. Now." But Harry couldn't run. Ron was chained to Pettigrew and Remus. He leapt forward but Black caught him around the chest and threw him back.  "Leave it to me — RUN!"

There was a terrible snarling noise. Remus' head was lengthening. So was his body. His shoulders were hunching. Hair was sprouting visibly on his face and hands, which were curling into clawed paws. Crookshanks's hair was on end again; he was backing away —

As the werewolf reared, snapping its long jaws, Sirius disappeared from Harry's side. He had transformed. The enormous, bearlike dog bounded forward. As the werewolf wrenched itself free of the manacle binding it, the dog seized it about the neck and pulled it backward, away from Ron and Pettigrew. They were locked, jaw to jaw, claws ripping at each other —

Astraea ran beind him but Hermione caught her.

"You'll get hurt", she told her.

"I don't care, he's my father", she said. "I'm not losing him again"

With that, she ran behind the wolf and the dog and started firing spells at the wolf to let the dog go. Remus howled and growled then started taking flight to the forest —
