Danielle POV

"Happy Birthday Bella!" Stefania sang, waking me up as she walked into my bedroom carrying a breakfast tray.

"Hmmm good morning," I smiled sleepily, stretching my arms up above my head.

I pushed myself up to sit back against the bed while Stefania placed the try down across my lap.

"This looks incredible," I admired, looking down at her creation.

"The birthday girl deserves a birthday breakfast," she smiled, climbing back into bed beside me.

"Thank you my love," I said softly, leaning over to kiss her.

"Is Amalia awake yet?" I asked as I cut into the stack of French toast.

"No, she's still all snuggled up with Jeff," she smirked, leaning forward to allow me to place a piece in her mouth.

"Hmm I am good," she moaned.

"You're amazing," I laughed.

"And clearly not very modest," I added.

She shrugged all nonchalant and sat back against the headboard.

"What time are we going to your mama's?" She asked.

"Around 12:00, she's doing an afternoon tea for us," I told her.

She smiled and nodded.

"What?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"Nothing bellina," she said, shaking her head a little.

"You're nervous," I pointed out.

"Maybe a little," she blushed, using her fingers to show how much.

"You've nothing to be nervous about beautiful, they'll love you," I assured her.

"They're still your family," she pointed out.

"And you're my family now too. You and Amalia," I said firmly.

She turned to face me, a warm smile spreading across her face.

"I love you so much bella,"

"I love you too, now kiss the birthday girl," I winked, encouraging her to lean forward.

"I'll never get tired of that," I said when we broke away.

"Me neither," she replied with a grin.

"Do you want your presents?" She asked excitedly.

"Can we wait until later? I want Mali to be awake," I suggested.

"Of course bella," she smiled, twirling my hair around her finger.

Amalia POV

I woke up to find Jeff still beside me.

She nuzzled closer when she realised I was awake.

"Morning Jeffie," I laughed, ruffling the top of her head.

My mind went straight to the fact that it was Danielle's birthday. I reached under the bed excitedly to bring up her card and present.

I adjusted the bow on top slightly, needing it to be perfect.

Then I remembered that it was also the day we'd be going to Danielle's mom's house. My initially excitement for her birthday quickly turned to anxiety, nerves filling my stomach one by one.

Doing everything I could to shake them off, I climbed out of bed and went to shower.

The whole time I was showering, I was panicking about what to wear. I had no clue, everything I pictured I managed to find something wrong with.
