"Did I ever mention to you that I had a this ginormous crush on Toni Stark?" Zoey said while invading my dear popcorns as the Iron man landed in our television to save somebody.

"Maybe you should try telling me who you don't have crush on." I said as I shoved more popcorns into my own mouth. A solid month since I came to New York and Rahul reported to me that conditions in India are at its peak. And here I was watching Iron man fighting a random villain with my wacko roommate.

When Iron man just hurled the villain off a building, the blasted door bell rang.

"Go check." Zoey ordered while snatching the popcorn bowl off my lap. I snorted in reaction as I was not in a mood to protest.

I got up and opened the door. The sight that met my eyes made my jaws go slack. Adam stood in my doorstep wearing a pair of faded blue jeans and white button-downs that were rolled till his forearms, looking sexy as sin. The attire seemed to cling on to his defined abs and muscles that rippled beneath the fabric. His hair was ruffled and messy yet stylish, his jaws peppered with 5'o clock shadow. He was smiling lazily at me, his blue eyes twinkling.

Oh god! Am I hallucinating?

Adam caught me staring at him like a dumb loon and he cocked a brow. I opened my mouth and the only intelligent thing I could sprout was, "Is it Sunday today?"

"Yeah?" he said tilting his head in mild amusement. "Apparently, I am the only one who remembers the little detail of your shopping plans today." I smiled sheepishly and opened the door wider.

"Come in."

I bekoned him in and he did so promptly, I closed the door after him. His eyes seemed to wander down my clothes and I blushed as I was wearing my Tom and Jerry PJs and black tank. Well, can't do much about that now unless I have a time-machine. He chuckled as his gaze driffed to our TV screen.

"Iron man, huh?" Adam asked as Zoey stood up noticing an abnormally hot and mouthwatering male speciemen standing in her apartment.

"Holy cow! Its not true...are you..I mean, aren't you Adam Lexwood?" She squealed, throwing the popcorn bowl somewhere and I feared if the bowl actually fell on her feet with her shrill squeal. Adam grinned and gave his hands to Zoey who took it like a kid in a candy store.

"Yes, Adam Lexwood. May I know your name?"

"Zoey Abraham." She shook her hands energically with a wide grin, a grin so big I was scared her lips are going to tear off like those of the joker in batman series. They shook hands for a minute solid as Zoey seemed pretty reluctant to let go of his hands. Adam simply chuckled at her excitement.

"I will go and change, okay? Adam wait here."

Adam nodded in my direction as Zoey continued clucking like a headless chicken, blabbering some stupidity at him. I hurried off to my room under a panic attack. Adam looked like a reincarnated Adonis and I totally refused to look like I came crawling out of a dumpster. I gave a brief grin at my reflection before starting the dreaded task of overhauling my wardrobe. I had a very few outfits to speak about, so I settled to a soft floral shirt and a pair of faded skinny jeans.

Then I tied my silky jet black hair into a high pony and put on high volume mascara to add effect. I put on apple lip gloss which is my favorite flavor after putting on a pair of converses as there was going to be a lot of walking. I think practically when it comes to shopping, afterall it is a serious business. I came out of my room and walked through our passage while I yanked my brown bag over my head in a cross style over my torso.

"Voilà, I am ready!" I threw my hand to my side in a dramatic pose. Adam got up and was raked my body with his sea-blue eyes. For some reason, I felt like burning under his gaze.

***Adam's POV***

"Voilà, I am ready!" A familiar sound chriped behind me. I got up to come face-to-face with Ria, looking darn appealing in her shirt, her ample curves accentuated by her outfit made her quite attractive. Her legs seemed to go on forever in those pair of jeans and I had trouble controlling my gaze running over her, as a hot-blooded male would.

She chuckled, "Found something you like?" I lifted my face from scanning her to her gorgeous face which now had a teasing smile.

"Now you look civilized."

I teased but in reality, she was a lot more than that. Even in her PJs, she looked captivating and that is saying something. I couldn't help but like the way her cute PJs fit her; I am a man who appriciates anything worth doing so. She gave a cute pout with her luscious lips which I wanted very badly. I mentally shook myself off with such thoughts and scolded myself.

Just a friend, Adam.

"Come on, let's go. You are wasting time." I said putting my neutral poker voice which never gave anything away.

"Loosen up, dude. You do know we are going shopping not a conference, right?" she said with her hands tied to chest. I tried not to focus my gaze there. "Shopping is an art that comes with patience." She said solemnly.

"Okay. I had taken half day off. You owe me big time." I told her, mirroring her stance. She giggled adorably.

"Shall we go now, princess?" I gestured my hand to the door. She awarded me with a heart-stopping smile. I smiled back while I wondered if any of the papprazzi will be there to catch me red-handed, shopping with a woman in Manhattan streets like any other couples. I had enough of them since last month and if I have to deal with any more of them anytime soon, I might go crazy.

"So where do you want to go?" I asked her as we started for the elevator, shoulder to well, biceps.

"Don't know." She shrugged, "I pretty much forgot about today until you appeared on my doorstep."

"Oh, that explains why you were drooling over me then!"

"I was NOT drooling!" She exclaimed with her hands over her heart in a dramatic pose, her eyes wide and mouth open agast. I laughed as we entered the elevator, letting her go in first.

We decented in a comfortable silence. The elevator ding-ed on the ground floor and Ria strutted ahead of me, deep in thoughts. I made no move to break her out of the spell and simply followed her out.

She sure was a intruging woman.

But halfway through the parking lot she stopped and looked left and right confusedly. Then she turned about to face me, her eyes still searching her surroundingds, "So where is you car?"

"There."

I lifted my keys and pressed the button making my car wink it's headlights in recognition. Ria whirled around and saw my car before breaking out into a loud squeal, one like her friend did earlier. I cringed at the sound and looked around, wondering what made her scream like a banshee in the middle of the (thankfully) deserted parking lot.

"You have a FERRARI!!!" She yelled at my face, grinning ear-to-ear. I leaned back in fright but she simply moved closer to my face, "OHMIGOD! I have never, EVER rode in a Ferrari!" She gushed like a school-girl and I couldn't help but break out into a laugh, the kind of laugh that hurts your belly.

"You screamed----for that?!"

I asked and threw my head back and laughed somemore. Ria stopped her intense fan-girling session and was glaring me while I laughed my head off. It felt good to laugh after so long, It made me feel amazing and light-hearted. And now that I started, I can't seem to stop. I wiped a tear off my cheeks as I kept chuckling the remains of my mad laugh as Ria continued to glare at me as if I just killed her puppy.

"Hey, mister!" She snapped, "Are you laughing at me?"

"Would dream of that." I told her as I continued to chuckle my way towards my car as she followed me, still sulking for my laugh at her expense.

Nevertheless, I still continued to do so; for the first time in almost a decade.
