Kingdom Hearts 2: 2nd sequel to the Legendary 8th Princess of Heart

Chapter 40: Friends Help Each Other

(Harmony's) POV:

We rush to catch up with my dad and the King as fast as possible. However, we soon see Leon and Aerith fighting some Heartless.

"Leon! Aerith!" I call out, ready to help them out.

"Everyone! Behind you!" Aerith exclaims, worried.

My friends and I turn around just in time to see some Nobodies appear. Considering how dire the situation is getting, I decide to change into my Master form, to help make the battle less difficult. Not only that, but Stitch helps out, too. He grabbed two guns from out of nowhere, and shoots something out of the guns that doesn't look like bullets, but looks like some kind of plasma. I didn't expect him to be a fighter, but then again, looks can be deceiving.

Considering how many Nobodies there are, I can't help but wonder if the Organization is involved in this somehow. If they are, does that mean they've already found out that we're trying to find more information about them, and are trying to prevent us from doing so? I don't have much time to think about it once my friends and I cleared the area.

"Father and the King are in the bailey. You'd better head over there!" Leon calls out.

"Got it!" I exclaim.

We rush to the Bailey, only to be shocked by what we see. I'm not sure what happened, but instead of the wall, there's this huge hole. I could be wrong, but I think this might be the reason we felt that huge earthquake from before. Something, or someone, broke down the wall.

Wanting to know what could be on the other side, I go through the hole, with my friends following me. I'm not sure if the gasp came from me or the others. All I know is that there's this huge army of Heartless, and they seem to be marching towards the town. Even from a distance, I can also vaguely see Leon and all of our friends, including the three fairies that used to work for Maleficent, fighting against the Heartless out there.

(3rd) POV:

Yuffie takes out a Heartless with her giant kunai, then stumbles backward, landing on her butt. She had been fighting Heartless nonstop, ever since they started to attack, and now she's exhausted. Luckily, Aerith quickly uses some healing magic, taking care of Yuffie's wounds. Yuffie then gets back on her feet, and thanks Aerith.

Meanwhile, one of the fairies, Pain, lures a Heartless near the edge of a cliff. Just as the Heartless makes the move to attack her, Pain simply moves out of the way. The Heartless then turns around, just in time for the other two fairies, Yuna and Rikku, to kick it right in the face, making it fall over the cliff. Yuna and Rikku high-five each other and join up with Pain.

Their victory is short-lived, however, when more Heartless appear. Seeing them charge in their direction, the three fairies try to fly away. Meanwhile, in a different part of the ravine, Cloud and Leon end up back to back as they get surrounded by the huge number of Heartless.

"Think you can handle this many?" Leon asks.

"Well...Might be tough if one more shows up," Cloud answers.

Leon smiles. "Then that'll have to be the one I take care of."

"What, you're fighting too?" Cloud asks, smiling back.

The two of them then begin to fight as many Heartless as they possibly can. At some point, Cloud gets separated from Leon, forced to fight the Heartless surrounding him. Suddenly, a straight line cuts through some of the Heartless, making them disappear. And the one who did it is none other than Sephiroth.
