Knott's POV
"Should I buy condoms?" I ask Tew as we eat breakfast
"What?" Tew starts coughing as he chokes on his drink. I get up and pat him on his back.
"You ok?" I ask, concerned. Tew pushes me away and motions me to sit down.
"Where the hell did that come from?" Tew finally asks when he catches his breath. "Like seriously! We are having breakfast. How the fvck does buying condoms become an over breakfast conversation?" I forgot my nong is not always docile. He has a pretty good bite.
"I'm sorry," I mumble as I look down and begin pushing my food around on my plate.
"I didn't say that to get an apology, P'Knott," Tew sighs, pushing his plate away. "I said it because that just came up out of the blue."
"Don't you think about it?" I question, still not looking at him.
"All the time!" Tew remarks, "You?"
"Of course, I do," I sigh, "I am not a monk. How could I not? You are not exactly a turnoff."
"Well, that is good to know," Tew smirks, "But seriously, where did this question come from this morning?"
"Ai'Arthit bought some yesterday," I explain, "And some lube."
"What?" Tew gapes at me, "Does Ai'Kong know?"
"I am pretty sure there aren't many who don't know," I smile, "Even Ai'Tutah's mom and aunt know about it."
"What the hell?" Tew laughs, "How does that happen? Did he buy them in front of everybody? P'Arthit? He really did that?"
"Apparently," I shrug, "He ranted about Ai'Prem, N'Wad, and Ai'Tutah's mom and aunt when I went over to get lab notes from him yesterday." I chuckle, "I then got to hear about what N'Kongpop..." I stop and look at Tew. Maybe I shouldn't have told him about Arthit, and I doubt N'Kongpop would want more people knowing about that bag of insanity he bought.
"What did you hear about Ai'Kong?" Tew urges me to spill the beans.
"He also knows about what Ai'Arthit bought," I hedge, looking away from Tew.
"Oh, I bet that was fun," Tew sighs, getting up, "It is time. If we don't leave, we will be late for class." I nod and follow him out of the shop.
"Knott!" Tutah slaps the back of my head.
"What the hell?" I growl, glaring at Tutah. "Why did you hit me? Did you mistake me for Ai'Bright?"
"Hey!" Bright barks, "Ai'Tutah knows who he hit. You are the one who wouldn't answer any of us."
"What are you thinking about anyway?" Prem asks, picking up his backpack. I notice other students are packing up and leaving. Shit! Is class over? I look at my notebook on the desk and see the only thing I wrote was the date. Arthit grabs it from me and laughs.
"I will let you copy my notes," Arthit says, tapping my head with my notebook. "What is bothering you?"
"Thanks," I tell Arthit as I shove my things into my bag and follow my friends out of the classroom. "Just stuff."
"Are you fighting with your nong?" Tutah asks, "I saw him this morning when I dropped off N'Jett. N'Tew seemed fine."
"You make it sound like you dropped off your kid at school," Bright laughs. "Did you make him lunch too?" Tutah punches Bright hard in the arm.
"You are one to talk," Prem laughs, "You were almost late because you did the same thing. Did you make lunch for N'Kammon?"
"Asshole," Bright says, flipping off Prem.
"No, really," Tutah asks, "Are you and N'Tew ok?"
"Yes," I answer, "We are fine." I look at my friends in front of me. All of them, except for Tutah, are new to dating a guy. I wonder how far they have gone. I mean, I know what Arthit told me way back, and I have assumed about Prem, but what about Tutah and Bright?
"Have any of you guys had sex yet?" I ask. Prem collides with Tutah, and Bright walks into a door that just swung open.
The girl who opened the door looks around it and asks, "Are you ok?"
"Peachy," Bright answers pinching his nose to stop it from bleeding as he pulls out a handkerchief.
"Why the hell are you asking that out of the blue and in the middle of the damn hallway?" Arthit hisses.
"Because I want to know," I grumble. Tutah, Bright, Arthit, and Prem exchange look.
"Bunk?" Prem asks. Bright and Tutah nod their heads, and Arthit shrugs.
"Did you start wondering about this because I bought condoms because of those two assholes?" Arthit asks, throwing a pillow at Tutah and Bright. We have relocated to my dorm after we picked up some food.
"Partly," I sigh, leaning back against my headboard. "That reminds me. Ai'Tutah, what were the stipulations of the bet our little monster lost?" Tutah opens his mouth and stops. I can see Arthit grinning. I guess Arthit has placed a counter bet on those two that involves what his bet was about.
"Sorry," Tutah sticks his tongue out at Arthit, "I can't tell you that."
"It was a bet?" Prem asks, "That is why you bought condoms and lube?"
"Don't remind me," Arthit groans, "That day will go down in history as one of the most embarrassing days of my life."
"Aww," Bright coos, "I am so glad we could give you such an important memory."
"Do you want to die?" Arthit threatens.
"That doesn't work on me," Bright grins, "And I pretty sure it is just a turn-on for N'Kongpop now. Who knew he was such a masochist?" Tutah and Bright high five each other.
I shake my head. Bright will end up dead one day if he doesn't learn when to pick on someone and when not to.
"Ok, people," I interrupt, "As much as I would like to delve into N'Kongpop's fascination with our friend's death threats, I believe we are here because of me."
"Asshole," Arthit grumps, and everyone else laughs.
"My answer is no," Prem offers, "N'Wad is not ready." That is understandable. N'Wad would have a lot more issues than just the whole boy-on-boy thing.
"I am not ready," Arthit puts in, "Kongpop and I discussed it again yesterday." I am impressed that Arthit is talking about it instead of avoiding it. He must really feel comfortable with N'Kongpop.
"I just started dating," Bright says, leaning back against my closet. "Plus, I don't know if Kammon is going to have issues with it yet. We have just kissed for the most part."
We all look at Tutah, who hasn't said a word. He has been on his phone since after I asked about the bet. After a few moments, he looks up.
"What?" Tutah asks when he notices all of us looking at him.
"How far have you gotten with your nong," Bright asks. It is funny to watch our friend who has bounced from one transient relationship to another blush.
"Oh, ho," Bright cackles, "That far."
"We haven't gone all the way, asshole," Tutah snaps. "What about you, Ai'Knott."
"Well, I guess I am the same as everyone else," I sigh.
"Did N'Tew say he wants to go farther?" Arthit looks over at me, "Out of all of us aside from Ai'Tutah. He is the only one who is experienced."
"No," I shrug, "N'Tew never says anything about it. He seems happy with how things are."
"Then why are you freaking out?" Prem asks, "Do you want to go farther? Are you ready for that?"
"I don't know," I frown, "I just always feel like I am a step behind everyone when it comes to these things." I look at Arthit, "I mean, you bought condoms and lube."
"Because of a freaking bet," Arthit yells, "Do you think I would have done that if these two misfits hadn't put me up to it?"
"Did you get the bag back?" I ask him.
"Back from who?" Tutah perks up, "I thought my mom gave it back to you."
"She did," Arthit frowns, "Kongpop took it by accident."
"He did not!" Prem laughs, "Man, your luck sucks."
"Tell me about it," Arthit chuckles, "It certainly was an interesting addition to an already unbelievable day."
"Did he return it?" I ask him again.
"Nope," Arthit smiles, "They are in his nightstand. He is the type to be prepared." Arthit looks at all of us, "I just have to remember to not stay over at his dorm for a while."
"Man, you are mean," Bright chortles, "Getting your nong's hopes up and leaving him cold."
Arthit's phone sounds followed by Prem's. I know the mine will soon follow.
"Let's go," I say, standing up, "Before they hunt us down."
"What do you want to drink?" I ask N'Tew over the phone as I look at the drink selection. "Mango soda? OK. Anything else? I will meet you at the dorm."
Opening the door to the cooler, I grab two Mango sodas and two bottles of coffee. I should drink water since it is so late, but I am in the mood for coffee. Walking down the aisle, I glance to the side and stop.
I didn't realize there were this many choices. Sizes? Looking down, I try to figure out how one knows what size you need. Is there a chart? I look around on the shelves and don't see one. Maybe there is a chart on a box. Picking up one, I turn it over. Holy shit! Length and width? Standard, Snug, and Large. Snug? Wouldn't you want them to be snug? Are the Standard and Large not snug? I look at the measurements. I can't really imagine whipping out a ruler and measuring. How do you measure for width?
Placing the box back on the shelf, I notice the one I picked up says latex. The one next to it says polyurethane. I look at other boxes and see polyisoprene and lambskin. What is the difference?
I pick up one that says Extra Safe. Ok. I am confused. Does that mean the others are not safe? And that box says Ultra Thin. Tingle? Jeans? Who came up with this naming system? Is that a strawberry on that box? Glow in the dark? What the fvck?
Ribbed? Does it feel better if it is ribbed? What if Tew doesn't like it ribbed? I put that box down and pick up another. Bare Real Feel. Self-lubricated. If you use these, do you need lube?
I look over at the lube selection. I have some of that, but I always bought basic KY and never paid attention to what else there was. Why would I need flavored lube? I look back at the flavored condoms. Isn't it weird for this stuff to be flavored?
A hand reaches over and takes the box out of my hand, putting it back on the shelf. Turning, I find Tew smirking at me.
"You look overwhelmed," Tew chuckles as he looks at the selection. I nod my head. I watch as he chooses two boxes and tosses them in my basket before he grabs a bottle of lube. "You ready?"
I look down in my basket and stare at the boxes, "Are those for you?"
"One is for me, and the other is for you," Tew answers picking up a magazine off the stand, "I am pretty sure it will fit you."
"How did you know what to buy?" I ask, looking back at the display.
"Let's just say I have a good idea of your size," Tew explains, and I turn to see he is blushing hard. "I will meet you at our dorm." He starts to walk away but turns back, "Are you planning something I should be aware of? I mean, like I said this morning, this is kind of out of the blue. Because if you are, I need to..." Tew looks around before he whispers, "Prepare."
"Prepare what?" I ask, looking at the items in my basket. "Aren't we..." Tew covers my mouth.
"Nevermind," Tew shakes his head, "I think I need to explain the ins and outs of this before we go further. But, buy that stuff anyway. It is always good to be prepared."
I watch as my boyfriend walks out of the store and notice several people grinning at me. Ducking my head, I walk to the register and about faint when I see it is a girl checking me out. Geez, this is embarrassing. Can I die now?
"I am pretty sure you will want to use these before you die," the clerk snorts as she rings up my items. Crap! I said that out loud.
