Arthit's POV
Leaning against the wall of my faculty, I am waiting for Kongpop to show up. I fvcked up bad yesterday, and because of that, Kongpop is ignoring my calls and my messages.
"Where is he?" I mutter to myself.
"Where is who?" Knott asks behind me, making me jump.
I punch him in the chest, "Don't do that!"
"That hurts!" Knott laughs, rubbing where I had punched him, "What is wrong with you this morning?"
"Nothing," I say, looking around.
"I can see that," Knott hums, "So how bad was the fight?"
"We didn't fight," I deny. I close my eyes and shake my head. How does Knott always know?
"Sure. By the way, he is over there," Knott points, and I look to where he is pointing. I start to walk towards my boyfriend only to watch as Kongpop power walks the other direction.
"Fvck!" I shout.
"You didn't fight?" Knott looks down at me. "Because that sure looked like someone is avoiding you with a passion, and that person is N'Kongpop. The guy who clings to you like a lost puppy."
I pinch my nose and growl. It is so stupid. Why did I do that last night?
Knott laughs, "Did you just growl at me?"
"Let's get to class," I sigh. I will try to corner Kongpop after class.
"You positive you don't want to go find him," Knott asks, walking beside me.
Of course, I want to find him, but what good will that do if he runs away from me. And I can't even blame him.
"I'm sure," I grumble, "Not like I know what to say yet anyway."
"Are you going to tell me what you did?" Knott elbows me. "I might be able to help. You never know."
Maybe I should tell Knott. He has talked to his parents. But what is Knott going to say when he hears what I did to Kongpop.
"Why do you think I did something?" I demand.
"You're kidding, right?" Knott scoffs, "What just happened had all the hallmarks of you being the guilty party. So I will ask once again. What did our little monster do to piss off his devoted puppy?"
"Ass!" I growl.
"I know," Knott smirks. "Well?"
"My mom showed up unannounced yesterday at my dorm," I start to explain, "Kongpop and I were at my dorm studying and..." I stop running my hand through my hair. It is so fvcking embarrassing.
"And..." Knott drawls.
"And we had stopped for a re..." I correct myself, "For a break."
"Oh," Knott nods, "One of those breaks."
I backhand my friend, "Shut it!"
"What?" Knott chuckles, rubbing his chest, "N'Tew and I have those kinds of breaks too when we are studying. I don't know why you are so embarrassed."
"I hate you," I growl.
"Yeah. Yeah," Knott grins, "So what do your mom and your make-out session have to do with each other."
"Are you stupid?" I ask, "I said my mom showed up unannounced." I watch Knott waiting for him to connect the dots.
"You are telling me your mom showed up during?" Knott asks horrified.
"Yes!" I shout.
"Did she walk in on you guys?" Knott looks at me in panic.
"No. Thank God!" I snap. Even the thought of my mother walking in on Kong and me makes my stomach hurt.
"What did you do?" Knott runs his hands through his hair. "How did you explain N'Kongpop? What did you introduce him as?" Knott gasps, "Is that why he is mad at you? What did you say?"
"I didn't explain about him or introduce him to my mom," I say, closing my eyes remembering what I did. How could I have done that to him?
"Huh? Then what did you do?" Knott asks, concerned.
"I shoved him in my closet," I tell Knott. "I hid him in my closet until my mom and I left to go eat."
"What?" Knott gapes at me, "Are you nuts? How long were you in the dorm before you went out to eat?"
"Over an hour," I groan, "My mom kept finding things to do. I am just glad I didn't have any laundry. I am such an ass. How could I do that to Kongpop?"
"Yeah, you are an ass," Knott confirms, "Why didn't you just introduce him as a nong you were helping study?"
"I don't know!" I shout, "That was the first thing I thought of, and the next thing I know, I am slamming the door to my closet in my boyfriend's shocked face."
"What did N'Kongpop say when you let him out?" Knott asks, concerned.
"That's just it," I explain, "I took my mom out to eat to get her out of my dorm, and after that, I took her to the station. When I came back, Kongpop was already out of the closet and gone. His curtains were pulled and his lights off. He won't answer my calls or read my messages." I want to cry. "I really screwed up, Ai'Knott."
"You sure did," Knott pats my shoulder, "No wonder he made a beeline away from you just now. Give him time to cool off and then talk to him."
I sigh, taking my seat. Cool off? I wonder how long it will take.
Aim's POV
"Kong!" I shout to my friend.
"Why the hell are you yelling at me?" Kong snarls.
"Because he has been calling you for like ten minutes," Wad snickers, "What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing," Kong groans as he rests his head on his desk.
"Nothing, my ass," I glower, "Just tell us already."
"I want nothing to do with your ass," Kong grumbles.
Kong has obviously fought with P'Arthit. I look over at Wad and can tell he is thinking the same thing. Wad looks at me and shrugs.
I lean over to Kong, "I just want to know if you are ok," I tell my friend, "That is all. You look upset."
"Sorry," Kong sighs, "I am just in a bad mood today."
"Do you want to skip out of the next class and talk?" I offer.
"No, I am not going to be your excuse to bunk class," Kong smirks, "How about we go for lunch just the two of us?"
I start to say no but realize he is asking to talk, "Ok," I agree, "I will message May. And if I get killed, promise me you will give me a nice funeral."
"I hear P'Tutah can work a deal on those," Kong grins, "I will enlist his help."
"What did P'Arthit do?" I ask Kong before I take a bite.
"Nothing," Kong mumbles.
"He must have done something," I frown, "So tell me already."
"I know I shouldn't be mad at P'Arthit," Kong shakes his head, "He panicked."
"P'Arthit panicked?" I question. "About what this time? Details would be helpful."
"I was over at his dorm studying last night," Kong explains, "We stopped to..." Kong stops and starts chewing on his bottom lip.
"You don't have to say it," I smirk, "I have a pretty good idea what you stopped for, so stop overthinking. What happened? Did he turn you down?"
"No," Kong sighs, leaning back in his chair, "P'Arthit's mom showed up during our break."
I choke on my drink, "S-S-She what?" I sputter. "Did she see anything?"
"She didn't even see me," Kong groans.
"Huh?" I am confused. "You said his mom came to the dorm while you were there. How could you not be seen?"
"That is what happens when your boyfriend shoves you in his closet," Kong mutters.
"He did what?" I am shocked.
"Shoved me in the closet," Kong repeats, resting his head in his hands.
"Wasn't that a little excessive?" I question. How could P'Arthit do that to his boyfriend? Couldn't he have said he was tutoring Kong?
"You think?" Kong laughs. "I know P'Arthit just did it in reaction to his mom suddenly knocking on the door while we were..." I watch as Kong's face flushes. It is fun to see Kong flustered. He is always so perfect, and that is annoying as hell.
"You were?" I tease.
"Shut it," Kong huffs.
"So what did P'Arthit say after," I ask, continuing to eat. I doubt Kong made it easy on the poor guy. I stop chewing to think about what I just thought. I just felt sympathy for P'Arthit. Well, that was unexpected. My life just keeps getting weirder by the day. Next thing you know, I will want to be a Hazer. I finally notice Kong hasn't answered me.
"What did P'Arthit say after his mom left?" I repeat. Kong looks away from me. "You have been avoiding him!" I accuse. "Wait. He let you out of the closet, right?"
"There isn't a lock on them, Ai'Aim," Kong looks at me like I have gone stupid, "Who has a locked closet? I came out of the closet on my own."
Don't laugh. I am sure Kong doesn't realize what he just said, but I think it is ironic.
"Stop smirking," Kong deadpans, "Geez, you have been hanging around P'Bright too much."
"If that were true, I would have made a joke," I argue.
"You did," Kong frowns, "You just haven't gotten around to saying it."
"I guess that is true," I shrug. "So, how was your trip to Narnia?" I laugh when Kong throws his napkin at me. "Sorry, I couldn't pass it up."
"Whatever," Kong sighs, "P'Arthit took his mom out for dinner before I am guessing he sent her to the station. After they left, I came out and went back to my dorm. I kept my curtains closed and the lights off."
"Didn't P'Arthit message or call," I ask. Surely P'Arthit tried to contact his boyfriend when he found him gone. Kong takes out his phone and opens the screen.
"Damn," I gasp when I see all the missed calls and unread messages. "Do you have a death wish? Why have you ignored them?"
"I must have one," I sigh, "But I don't know what to say." Kong looks at his watch, "Let's go back. We have that project we need to work on with the others."
Kongpop's POV
Resting my head against my door as I stare at my phone screen. My last message from my boyfriend was this morning when he was looking for me. I still can't believe I ran away from him when I saw him. When I did that, I just made everything worse. I need to talk to P'Arthit now, but his lights were already off when I looked up at his window.
Taking out my keys, I look at the key P'Arthit gave me, I could go over. Dismissing that thought, I open my door. I decide not to turn on the lights as I look across at P'Arthit's dark room. Walking over to my desk, I set my backpack down and run my hands through my hair.
"I want to see my boyfriend," I sigh as I lean against my desk, and I am stunned when I see P'Arthit asleep in my bed.
Walking over, I sit on the edge of my bed and gently brush his hair from his eyes. He really is beautiful.
"Kong," Arthit mumbles as he rolls over and hugs my pillow.
Quietly, I get up, walking over to my closet, taking out sleep clothes. If I take a shower, I might wake him up. Glancing over at my sleeping boyfriend, I decide against showering and go into the bathroom to change clothes and wash my face before crawling into bed next to P'Arthit.
Lifting P'Arthit's head, I slip my arm under it as he wraps his arms around me and sighs contentedly against my chest.
"I'm sorry," P'Arhit mumbles against my chest.
"Me, too," I reply quietly. P'Arthit surprises me when he raises his head and looks at me. "I thought you were asleep."
"I was," P'Arthit says as he rubs his eyes. "The project. Did you finish it?"
"How did you know about the project?" I ask.
"N'Aim messaged me you would be late," P'Arthit explains, settling back on my chest. "He didn't think you would tell me and didn't want me to worry because his friend was stupid."
"I should buy him lunch," I smile, "How was your mom?"
"She is good," P'Arthit yawns, "My mom was in town visiting a friend in the hospital. That is why she was here. Next time she is here, would you like to meet her?"
"I would like that," I kiss the top of his head.
"Is it alright to just call you my nong?" P'Arthit questions sleepily, "Even though you are my boyfriend."
"Yes. There is time for the other," I say. "Love you."
"Love you, too," P'Arthit mumbles. "Sorry about the closet."
"It is fine," I chuckle, "Sorry for ignoring you." I wait for a response, and when I don't get one, I look down. You are such a tease, my sun. How can you go to sleep?
