EVELYN'S POV
Oliver an I had a doctors appointment today for my 14th week and it's just to check up on the babies.
It was scheduled for 8:30 and it was currently 7:46 and we were trying to finish up breakfast before we had to leave.
And once we did finish breakfast we headed out the door, getting into the car and leaving the base, getting on the main road.
When we got there we still had twenty minutes until the appointment started, so I signed in and then Oliver an I just sat in the waiting room waiting to get called back.
"Evelyn Ferrari?" I heard a few minutes later.
Oliver and I got up, meeting the lady at the door, to which we greeted each other as she placed us in a room getting us settled in before leaving.
"At what week do we get to find out the genders?" Oliver asked once the nurse had left.
"If I remember correctly we can find out at 18 weeks, I think but we can ask the doctor when comes in," I explained to him.
"If so that's like a month away." He whined and I laughed at him.
I didn't have time to respond as we had heard a knock on the door, revealing Doctor Ryan.
"Good morning you guys how are you?" He asked as he shook our hands.
"We're doing good, how are you?" I asked him.
"I'm doing good, so how have you been feeling?" He asked me as he sat down in front of me.
"I've actually been feeling really good since hitting the second trimester, no nausea, I feel like the only symptom I have is just being fatigued," I told him.
"That's amazing, I definitely don't think a woman has come in here pregnant with twins and said the only symptom they have is being tired." He joked.
"But that's good, so now that we've got all the out of the way do you guys have any questions for me before we start?" He asked as he stood up and started putting gloves on.
"Just one, when can we find out the genders?" I asked him as I pulled my shirt up under my boobs.
"Usually we do it around 18-20 weeks but we can find out as early as 16 weeks, but I'll tell you this when you come in for your 16th week appointment, if I can confidently say what the genders are I will tell you guys and if I can't we'll wait until you hit 18 weeks." He explained to me.
"That sounds perfect," I told him.
He then put the gel on the wand before he started rolling it around my stomach.
"Okay, so we've already made it clear that the twins are identical, they're in the same sack nothing separating them, which means when we do find out the genders they'll either be two girls or two boys." He clarified.
"Of course we're so excited to find out, maybe more so him than me." I laughed knowing how anxious Oliver is to find out.
"Do either of the two run a lot in your families?" He asked.
"Well, for my family I have three older brothers and they've all had girls, and then for him, he has a younger sister, and of course with our first pregnancy it was a girl, so there's definitely a lot pointing to girls," I explained.
"Wow, that's a lot of girls, so if you look here this is baby A and then here is baby B, and if you look here here's a foot and a hand, can't really tell who's it is but I can assure you that they both have everything they should." He explained as he pointed to each place on the screen.
"Everything looks amazing, the babies are growing right in track they're actually measuring a few days ahead." He told us.
"Okay, I'll have someone print these out for you guys and then you can be on your way." He said as he once again shook our hands before stepping out of the room.
I'd grabbed a tissue to clean the gel off my stomach, before folding my shirt over my belly which I feel like is growing by the day.
A few minutes later the same nurse came in with the sonogram, and then she led us out of the room back into the waiting area.
I made another appointment for my 16th-week ultrasound before we left once out in the parking lot Oliver helped me in the car before getting in himself.
"I'm so excited to find out what they are, what do you think they are?" I asked him.
"I think they're going to be girls, but you never know, what do you think?" He asked me.
"I'm thinking girls too, but like you said we'll just have to find out," I told him.
"Either way I'm happy, besides if they are boys it'd be nice seeing as we only have girls in the family." He laughed which is very true all of us have had girls.
We'd finally had made it back on base, and we then drove to Oliver's work letting him out as I got into the driver seat.
"I love you babygirl, I'll see you in a bit." He said before he kissed me.
"I love you too, I'll pick you up at seven?" I asked him.
"No, I get off at six." He told me.
"Good ok, I'll come around 5:45 and I'll wait here for you," I told him.
"Sounds good, bye." He said as he kissed my head.
"Bye love." I smiled and waved as I pulled out of the parking lot.
Five minutes later I was back home, and I decided to make lunch, which was just spicy shrimp spring rolls.
After I finished lunch I headed upstairs with said food and sat in the living room area of the bedroom, and put on one of my favorite movies.
I'd finished lunch and my movie long ago, I was just cleaning up around the house killing time until I could start dinner.
Which I started around four just so Oliver could have a nice hot meal to come to.
Which if you're curious I made Mexican food, and I finished that around five so I wrapped everything up to keep it warm.
And in the meantime of that I cleaned up the kitchen from cleaning, I also sent everyone pictures of the twins after I was done cleaning.
And then after that, I used the bathroom and after all of that, it was time to go pick Oliver up.
So I grabbed the car keys walking out the house not bothering to lock it as I knew it wouldn't take that long.
I made it to Oliver's work and he was standing outside talking with James which I felt like I hadn't seen him in ages.
So I got out the car greeting Oliver first.
"Hi love, how was work?" I asked him as leaned up to kiss his cheek.
"It was good love, thank you." He said leaning down letting our lips touch for a quick moment.
"Hi, James how are you doing? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever." I told him as I hugged him.
"I'm doing good, I heard you had an appointment this morning, how are they doing?" He asked me.
"They're doing really good, I'll have to show you pictures of them at some point," I told him.
"Actually James, I just made dinner how would you like to join Oliver an I for dinner?" I asked him.
"Are you guys sure? I'm sure your both tired." He said.
"Oh please, get in the backseat," I told him as I went and got in the passenger side.
A few minutes later we all made it back at the house, sitting at the island to eat.
"Wow, Evelyn you really do know how to cook this is very good," James said after we all started eating.
"Thank you, James." I smiled.
We all finished eating, us all joking with each other as we headed out into the living room to play some board games.
Which pretty much summed up our night.
