That morning we had left the Pokemon center, with all the Pokemon checked out. I changed my clothes because my other clothes had a couple minor damages. (Outfit in the media)
I had a notepad out drawing and writing down some ideas for some new move combinations. I thought I knew who I was going to use for my gym battle, but I just don't know anymore. I want to finish with a big bang, so I have to come up with a lot of new battle combinations.
I hear the gang gasp and I look up to see that we have stopped in an beautiful open meadow making me gasp as well. It reminds me of the meadow where we found Eevee. I take a few steps forward and breath in deeply getting some of that refreshing fresh air into my syste, then let it out.
"We should take a break here." Ash said as he looks around.
"Great idea." Clemont says.
"Everyone come on out!" Ash shouts letting out all of his Pokemon out of their pokeballs and we all do the same. I walk over to Serena and tap her on the shoulder. She turns around once I tap her.
"What's up?" She asks.
"Can you and Vulpix help me with some special training?" I ask as I do a cute pout and bat my eyelashes, making her laugh and nod.
"Sure lets do it." She says and I cheer jumping up and down.
"Great! Thanks!" I say then turn to my Pokemon and walk over to them with Serena following me with Vulpix on her arms.
"Rocky, Pikachu, and Braixen lets do some serious training guys." I say, clapping my hands and they all line up. We all walk to the side away from the others a bit.
"So what do you need help with?" Serena asks.
"I need Vulpix to make the ground into ice, it will help us train if we're used to moving on the ice." I explain and she just nods.
"I don't know what moves she can use." Serena says as she frown looking towards snowy.
"Rotom can you help us out." I say and Rotom comes out of my bag with a cheery smile.
"Of course, Your Vulpix knows Powder snow, quick attack, protect, and Ice beam." Room informs us and we nod thanking him at the same time and he leaves to go talk to Clemont who seems to be his new best friend lately.
"Great so Vulpix can use ice beam on the grass." I say and Vulxpix lets out a happy sound as it jumps out of Serena's arms and waits for a command.
"Okay Vulpix, use ice beam!" Serena calls out and suddenly the ground is covered in a nice sheet of ice thanks to Vulpix.
"Having Vulpix would give you great opportunities with performing. She can make a fire and Ice theme with Briaxen." I say.
"I want to wait a little while to use Vulpix, for right now I want to focus on Eevee's dancing and making her more open to people and getting rid of the stage fright." Serena says and I nod.
"Alright seems fair. Thanks to the both of you for helping us." I say and they both nod.
"Alright guys get on the ice." I say and Pikachu gets on the ice first using her tail to steady herself so she doesn't slip. Rocky seems to be having trouble standing still as it tries to use it's claws to stand up. Braixen is doing well, but she almost lost her balance once she got on the ice.
Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie seem to have noticed the grass covered with ice as they walk over. "What's going on here?" Ash asks.
"We're practicing battling on the ice." I explain and they all nod.
"Mind if I join?" Ash says.
"Sure it's your gym battle too, so how about a battle with me." I say with a smirk and he chuckles with a grin growing on his face.
"I won't lose to you this time." He says.
"Don't get your hopes up Ketchum. Braixen you're up first." I say and Braixen stands in front of me lighting up her torch.
"Greninja it's all up to you." Ash says and Greninja stands in front of Ash ready to battle.
"You may have the first move my kind sir." I say as I do a curtsy making us both laugh.
"Greninja water shurkien!" Ash shouts. Greninja leaps into the air and throws several water shurkiens our way.
"Braixen use Psychic and send them right back!" I shout. This is going to be a tough battle since Greninja really has the upper hand here. I've got to think of something. Braixen uses her psychic power to move the water shurkien back towards Greninja who dodges them quickly.
"Greninja use Aerial Ace!" Ash shouts. Greninja glides through the ice like a true ninja and hits Braixen hard sending her on her back on the ice as her body slides towards me.
"Braixen are you okay?" I ask and she stands up slowly trying not to slip on the ice and nods, getting on a good grip on her torch and growls towards Greninja.
"Okay twirl and use flamethrower!" I shout. Braixen gracefully starts to twirl and points her torch in front of her, letting out flamethrower and a vortex of fire surrounds her covering her whole body so that we can't see her.
"Greninja use water Shuriken!" Ash shouts. Greninja throws several shurkiens at the fire vortex making smoke cover the field and once it's clear Braixen is nowhere in sight, making the both of them confused.
"Just a decoy! Braixen use fire blast!" I shout. Braixen comes down from the sky and hits Greninja with a fire blast. It may not be super effective, but it did some damage.
"Greninja use cut!" Ash's shouts.
"Quick Braixen use Flamethrower!" I shout. We may not have a good offense, but we may as well try at having a good defense. Greninja tries to run at Braixen but she keeps him back with the flamethrower and it looks to be wearing Greninja down. Greninja lands in front of Ash and a vortex of water surrounds Greninja.
"Water Shurkien!" Ash shouts. Greninja throws water shurkiens at Braixen but she stops them with flamethrower, but Greninja sneaks in from behind and gets Braixen good on her back sending her down to the ground hard.
"Braixen! Come on you got this!" I shout as I watch worriedly as she barely stands up. I reach my hand on her shoulder and give her a small smile.
"If you don't think you can go any further then don't push yourself. It's okay to lose sometime." I say to her and she stands up resting a hand on my shoulder, nodding at me that she wants to continue and turns to face Ash and Greninja.
Her body starts to glow and her body changes, making everyone gasp. Her body stops glowing and Braixen evolved to Delphox!!! "Oh my god! You evolved!" I cheer jumping up and down.
"Congrats guys." Ash says and Greninja nods.
"Wow it looks so amazing!" Bonnie says as she looks at Delphox.
"Ready Delphox?" I say with a smirk and she nods smirking towards Greninja.
"Oh it's really heating up now." Ash says making me snort.
"No pun intended." I say.
"Greninja Water Shurkien!" Ash shouts.
"Delphox use flamethrower!" I shout. Greninja throws several water shruikens at Delphox but she easily dodges them and leaps into the air, but instead of letting out flamethrower this power flame appears from her branch as she circles it and points it at Greninja who gets hit with it hard and hits into the ice breaking it into many pieces.
"That was amazing!" I cheer.
"That was Mystical Fire." Clemont says making me gasp.
"Wow a new move. Today is a good day." I say running my hand through my hair, moving it out of my face.
Greninja steps out from the ice and runs towards Delphox. "Greninja use cut!" Ash shouts. Greninja tries to cut Delphox but she manages to block several times with her torch, Greninja then jumps behind Delphox and manages a good hit on hit making her fall on her knees.
"Let's wrap this up! Water Shuriken!" Ash shouts. Greninja takes two water shurkiens in his hands and lifts them into the air, then throws them down on Delphox.
"Delphox mystical fire!" I shout. She gets hit the water shurkiens but blasts Greninja out of her space with mystical fire making him land next to Ash. Delphox and Greninja both stand and stare at each other, but Delphox falls unable to battle.
"Delphox is unable to battle, the winners are Ash and Greninja!" Clemont shouts. I run to Delphox who sits up with a sad look on her face. I tackle her to a hug and laugh.
"You evolved! I'm so proud of you Delphox. Imagine all the moves you can learn? We're going to get you ready for that gym battle don't you worry." I say to her and she smiles standing up I give her a few Oran berries to munch on to regain some health as I brush out her fur. I look toward Ash and do a small bow.
"You finally beat me. Congratulations Ash." I say.
"I just beat a Champion, I don't know why, but I'm just so pumped right now." He says with this excited grin on his face that looks like he just ate fifty pounds of sugar.
"Well you and your Pokemon have come a long way since we first met. I can definitely tell." I say as I finish brushing Delphox.
"Thanks Ollie." He says and I blush at his nickname for me and I just smile turning away hiding my blushing. I clear my throat and clap my hands.
"Okay lets get back to work. Glitter lets try using Iron tail on the ice to see what happens." I say. Glitter walks up on the ice trying to steady herself with her tail and jumps using Iron tail on the ice making shards of ice come up from the ground and smoke which covers glitter completely.
"Great job! We could use that for cover." I say and she climbs on my shoulder snuggling into my neck feeling happy for being praised.
"Okay Rocky you're up buddy." I say and he whines out as he slowly steps on the ice but struggles to stand.
"Relax, if you just calm down your body will get used to the ice." I say calmly which seems to help a bit.
"Okay now what can we do, to get you good for this battle." I start to think and look over at the ice. He could use Rock slide and have the same effect of glitter using her iron tail...I don't know what to do.
"Serena can you and Vulpix have a battle with me?" I ask after a while of thinking. She turns her head from brushing Panchum and nods with a cheery Vulpix behind her.
"This is going to be Vulpix's first battle." Clemont says as he stands in the middle to referee.
"I'm actually excited, I don't do many battles." Serena says as she stands proud with a smirk on her face.
"Your confidence is making me fire up." I say clenching my fist in a excited way.
"Okay battle begin!" Clemont shouts and Serena goes first. A snowstorm suddenly picks up and we all look around confused. I hug my body as the harsh cold winds hit me. All the Pokemon start to huddle up as the winds get stronger.
"What's..going...on!" Bonnie tries to yell as her teeth chatter, she shields her body behind Clemont to try to warm up.
"Vulpix must have the ability snow warning." Clemont shouts as he turns to hug Bonnie to try to cover her as much as he can from the cold winds.
"That's amazing! But it's very cold." Serena says as she hugs herself rubbing her arms to produce some type of heat.
"Just finish the battle please!" Clemont shouts.
"Got it! Vulpix use quick attack!" Serena shouts. Due to Vulpix's other ability snow cloak it makes her more faster. She gains speed and gets near Rocky.
"Rocky Stone Edge now!" I shout waving my arm. A good defense makes a good offense. Rocky stomps on the ice that is still on the ground and huge stones appear from the ground breaking the sheet of ice Vulpix made earlier, and hits Vulpix sending her back near Serena.
"Vulpix are you okay?" Serena asks as she crouches down a bit to look at Vulpix and Vulpix nods standing up.
"Rocky use Rock slide!" I shout.
"Vulpix use powder snow!" Serena shouts. The powder snow slows down the rock slide by a lot and stops the move completely.
"For someone who doesn't battle a lot, you're pretty good." I say giving her a thumbs up and she blushes.
"Thanks Liv." She says with a small giggle.
"Rocky use Accelerock!" I shout.
"Vulxpix use protect!" Serena shouts. That won't work sweetheart. I smirk as I watch Rocky run fast as his body starts to glow and he breaks through protective shield and hits Vulpix sending her back.
"What how could that be?" Serena asks as she watches with a confused expression.
"Protect is not really helpful when the opponent uses a physical move, Rock types have a huge advantage over Ice types, so that's why Vulpix took double the damage." Clemont explains.
"Breaking through protect isn't easy though, Rocky took some damage as well." I say as I look to see Rocky's fur sparking and he shakes it off.
"Oh okay." Serena says as she nods understandingly.
"Rocky use Rock slide!" I shout.
"Vulpix use Ice beam!" Serena shouts. The ice beam stops the rock slide in mid air, but Rocky uses that as a cover as it leaps over and uses Rock slide once more on Vulpix who gets real damaged and can barely stand but she tries hard and stands firmly.
"You got a good one there Serena." I say as I look at Vulpix still standing.
"I feel like I can feel her determination to win. I never felt this way before." Serena says as she places her hand over her heart and smiles.
"Rocky use Stone edge!" I shout.
"Vulpix quick attack." Serena says. Vulpix runs fast on the ice and manages to jump on top of the huge stones on the field and jumps over Rocky then runs at him, hitting him on the side, making him crash into one of the stones making smoke cover the field and both Pokemon.
"That's not how we're going to end this. Rocky use Accelerock!" I shout. I can finally see both pokemon's shadows as Rocky runs at Vulpix and hits her good with Accelerock making her fly in the air then land on one of the stones breaking it. Smoke covers the field again and once it clears, we see Vulpix unable to battle.
"Vulpix!" Serena shouts as she runs for Vulpix and holds her in her arms. Delphox hands me some Oran berries that I keep in my bag and I thank her as I walk over to Serena and bend down.
"Here." I say giving the Oran berry to Vulpix who gratefully eats it and lets out a happy cry making us laugh.
"You should really look into doing gym battles Serena. I see a lot of potential in you." I say as I stand back up and she stands as well with Vulpix still in her arms.
"Thanks, but performing is my true passion, and I plan on sticking to it." She says and I nod in understanding.
"I think that's enough training for today, everyone can relax now." I say to my Pokemon who sigh in relief and join the other's Pokemon.
I walk away from the ice covered ground in a flower patch and sit down, picking up some of the flowers. I play around with the flowers a bit, until I eventually make a nice flower crown. Glitter notices the crown on my head and makes her way over to me and tries to make her own but fails.
I giggle as I watch and begin making one for her. Sylveon joins us and asks for one. I start on her's as soon as I finished with glitter's. Glitter started to twirl feeling happy with the crown on her head and went to go play with Ash's Pikachu. I finished the crown for Sylveon and placed it on her head and she smiles and left to go show it off. Glitter came back with Pikachu and they both lay down next to me to nap in the sun.
I closed my eyes as I enjoyed the warm rays from the sun hitting my skin. I feel someone sit next to me and open one eye to see Ash. "Hey." I say in a quiet tone. Things have been weird between us lately with all the arguments, and it's driving me crazy. If only I didn't have that stupid dream, everything would be okay. Stupid Darkari.
"Look, I wanted to speak to you alone." He says, letting out a deep breath as he starts playing around with the flowers.
"Okay." I say as he grabs my full attention and I open both my eyes looking at him but he doesn't meet my eyes.
"I don't like the way we've been acting towards each other. It's been awkward and I hate it. I missed how we were before when I first met you." He says finally meeting my eyes and I can tell he's being sincere the way he's looking at me. I blush a little and look down at the ground.
"I was just thinking the same, when you sat down." I admit as I look back at him to see a small grin grow on his face and he chuckles.
"I think some alone time would really help." He says, standing up and I look at him confused.
"Alone time?" I ask. He chuckles and nods.
"We're going to sneak off for a bit. Come on, it'll be fun. I promise." He says, reaching his hand out to me. I think about if for a while and just shrug. What can possibly go wrong?
I take his hand and he helps me stand. Both the Pikachu wake up and jump on our shoulders and we slowly sneak by the gang and run for the forest, but not before leaving a note by Ash's bag. We both laugh like little kids as we keep running.
We stop once we get out of breath. Glitter's ears perk up and she starts running in a certain direction and we follow her. She leads us to a stream with a waterfall falling into it and I let out a shriek. I take my sneakers off, just leaving on my shirt and shorts and do a cannonball into the water. I come to the surface and spit out the water, letting out a laugh, waving for Ash to come in, since he's just standing there watching.
"Come in the water is amazing!" I shout to him. Both the Pikachu jump into the water and swim around with each other. Ash takes some of his clothes off and dives into the water.
He doesn't come up for a while and I get a little worried. Maybe he hit his head? Oh my gosh, I have to find him! I dive in deeper in the water looking around then surface when I'm out of breath calling for him. I feel a tap on my shoulder and scream turning around to see a laughing Ash. I pout hitting his shoulder.
"Don't do that! You almost gave me a heart attack!" I say with a glare.
"Sorry it was just funny." He says with a goofy grin and I splash him.
"Oh yeah?" He says and splashes me making me laugh and we start to splash each other. The Pikachu join us and we join teams having a whole water war. We stop after a while and just laugh. I give him a playful push then dive into the water. I hold my breath and look around at the few water Pokemon that live in these types of waters.
I feel someone grab my wrist and I look to see Ash next to me with a smile on his face. I push him and swim away and he chases after me. We swim further down the stream with the Pikachu following and I feel him grab my ankle pulling me to him. We both go to the surface to catch our breath and he has a grip on my waist so that I can't swim away. I notice how close we are to each other and look up into his eyes to see him already staring at me. I feel my breath hitch in my throat as I bite down on my lower lip, looking down. I back up a bit and give him a small smile.
I can't do this to Serena, it will break her heart. It's so hard to swallow my feelings, but I can't betray her like this.
I lay on my back with my arms above my head and look up at the sky. He does the same and we float in a peaceful silence. "Come on, our little adventure isn't over yet." I smirk and swim back to where our clothes are at and he follows.
We sit at the water's edge to dry and talk about old stories of each other's past. He tells me about his journey with his old friends and mentions some familiar names.
I mention that they're my friends as well and we go on comparing stories. I start to tell him more about what I've been through with my little family back in Alola and how my journey was and he just sits there and listens to every little detail.
Once were dry we get changed and start walking again with both Pikachu on our shoulders. I see some delicious berries up ahead and my stomach growls.
Ash laughs making me blush and then his stomach growls as well making me laugh. We climb the tree sitting on it and pick some of the berries.
"I bet you can't catch them in your mouth." Ash says.
"Wow cliche much?" I snort out and he rolls his eyes.
"Just catch them." He says and I open my mouth. He throws one and it hits my forehead, making us both laugh.
"Nice aiming." I say with a small giggle.
"Oh yeah? Let's see if you could do better." He says.
"I accept your challenge Ketchum." I say and pick up a berry. He opens his mouth and I throw it right in and he catches it. I throw my fist up in the air and cheer.
"Scoreee!!!!" I yell and he chuckles.
"Beginners luck." He says making me scoff dramatically resting a hand on my heart.
"Do I hear a sore loser ladies and gentleman?" I say in a mocking tone.
"Shut up." He says, giving me a playful push then jumps down the tree. I look down at the far fall and bite down on my lower lip. He noticed the look on my face and reaches his arms out.
"Jump, I'll catch you." He says.
"No way, Jose." I say crossing my arms.
"Just do it." He says and I take a second to think and just close my eyes jumping off the tree, I expect to feel a harsh fall but instead I feel arms wrap around me and catch me bridal style. I open my eyes to see a smug look on Ash's face, making me scoff jumping down from his arms dusting myself off.
"Show off." I mumble.
"What was that?" He asks with a playful tone making me stick my tongue out at him. He takes something out of his pocket to what looks like one of the berries we picked and tries to throw it at me but I duck and it hits a Beedrill making me take a step back.
"We better run." He says.
"Oh really? What made you think of such a thing?" I say sarcastically, taking his wrist and running with the Pikachu right behind us.
"There was still many things I still wanted to do before I died." I whine out dramatically as we run.
"We're not gonna die." He says rolling eyes, making me roll mines as well. I scoff and send him a glare.
"If I die and you don't I'm going to haunt you forever Ketchum." I say and we get cornered as a lot more beedrill appear. The Pikachu stand in front of us and I nod towards Ash who nods back.
"Thunderbolt!" Ash and I both shout. Both the Pikachu launch their electrical attack at the Beedrill making them retreat and we let out breaths of relief.
"Glad that's over." I sigh, leaning against the tree then sliding down on it. He does the same and we just sit there in peace with the Pikachu next to us laying with each other.
"I'm really glad I joined the journey with you guys, I have learned so much, and became such a stronger trainer." I say softly as I think about all the things we did together in such a short period of time.
"I'm glad I asked you." He mumbles softly.
"I'm glad you did too." I yawn out and rest my head on his shoulder. I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but I could of swore I felt his body tense up. I grow tired and let out another yawn and the last thing I remember is Ash resting his head on mine and I fall asleep.

I wake up to someone poking my face repeatedly and I slap their hand away. The poking stops and I let out a sigh as I try to go back to sleep, but then the poking continues and I hear someone say my name.
I open my eyes to see Ash looking down at me and I lift my head up from his shoulder to look at him. "What time is it?" I yawn out.
"I don't know, but we better head back to the others." He says and I nod slowly rubbing my eyes.
"That's too bad, I was really comfortable." I say standing up and he does as well.
"Your welcome." He says with a playful laugh. I roll my eyes at him and laugh as well. Before he can walk away, I take his wrist, pulling him back.
"Thank you for today, I had an amazing time. I'm glad we had this alone time. It means a lot." I say with a small smile.
"Thank you for agreeing to come, I think we both really needed this break to just relax." He says and I just nod. I look at him confused when I notice him not moving to go back to the others. I see he's looking at me with this unreadable look on his face as he takes a step forward.
I take a step back, but my back hit the tree and my hands rest upon it as I watch Ash. He looks at my face, watching my every movement and reaction as he moves a strand of hair behind my ear slowly and I lean into his warm touch with a small smile and he smiles at me and leans in closer til our noses were touching.
I don't know if he can hear it or not, but my heart is beating a million times per second and it sounds like a while marching band in there. I try to move my body in any sort of way, but it seems to be frozen as he leans the whole way and presses his lips onto mine kissing me slowly. I feel my body jump in shock as I pull back a bit. He moves back and gives me a look of hurt and I just cup his face into my hands pulling him back, his body against mine as I kiss him passionately. His hands rest on my waist as he smiles into the kiss making me let out a giggle. His hat seems to fall off his head as I tangle my fingers through his hair. He lets out a sound of enjoyment and I giggle again making him laugh and pull away. He picks me up and I wrap my legs around his waist as he spins me then let's me down and I let out a loud laugh.
"Well....that happened." I say and he just chuckles leaning his forehead against mine pulling in for one last kiss then pulls away.
"It did." He says making us both giggle like little kids. Guilt flashes through my veins as I think about Serena and my dream. My heart, which was once filled with joy is now filled with pain. I give him a small smile to not try to kill his happiness and take a step away.
"Whatever that was....can't happen again." I say slowly. The words taste like venom in my mouth as I speak them. His face goes from a smile to a frown in a instant.
"What?" He says.
"We have things to focus on right now, and this is just a distraction." I say with a little shrug. I watch his reaction and he just stares at me for a bit and his shoulders drop a bit as he lets out a sigh.
"You're right, we got our eighth gym battle coming up and then the league." He says and I nod.
"Just tell me that kiss meant, at least something to you." He says, taking a step towards me.
I bite down on my lower lip and nod slowly, feeling myself blush a bit. "Of course it did."
"Good, because it meant something to me." He says taking a step towards me cupping my face into his hands and presses his lips against mine and I kiss him back.
The kiss lasts for a while until we pull away for air with goofy grins on our faces. "I just wanted one last kiss before it has to stop." He says and I nod, feeling a little hot and I giggle dropping my head so that my hair covers my face a bit.
"Everyone always told me how dense I was when it came to this sort of stuff, but you opened that part of me and it became more understandable by the day. I don't know..but when I'm with you, I just feel like a champion." He says and I stare at him in shock. Who would of thought Ash Ketchum had a way with such words. I thought he was pretty dense as well, but I guess not.
"We should go." He says and I only nod still kind of speechless.
"Yeah let's go." I say and he takes my hand and we walk back to the others. Glitter gives me playful smiles here and there and I just blush every time she does making her laugh. I pull my hand away once we see the others and Ash looks back at me confused and I nod towards the others and he nods in understanding. Once the others see us they run up to us hugging us.
"I thought you guys got in trouble, you had us worried." Clemont says.
"Yeah, it was getting dark." Bonnie says.
"Sorry we lost track of time and we were a little deeper in the woods than we thought." I say.
"Did you guys have fun at least?" Clemont asks. I look to Ash and he looks at me with a smirk on his face.
"Yeah we sure did." We say at the same time.
"You got to tell us all about it over dinner, come on it just finished." Clemont says, waving us over and we all follow with Ash beginning the story of our mini adventure. Serena stops me and I look towards her and she has a sad look on her face.
"Did something happen between you and Ash?" She asks.
"What!? No of course not! I know you like him. And besides....I like Nihei." I say without thinking and my eyes widen as Serena squeals clapping her hands.
"That's so cute!! Oh my gosh!" She squeals again and we finally make it to the table.
"What's cute?" Bonnie asks.
"Nothing." I say.
"Olivia admitted to liking Nihei!" Serena squealed and everyone looks to me. Clemont looks shocked Bonnie looks just as excited as Serena.
