ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜ ᴍᴇ ʙᴜʀɴ ᴀᴄʀᴏss ᴛʜᴇ sᴋʏ."
We've been traveling for a couple days, and let me tell you....its been very awkward. I didn't mean to be the negative Nancy of the group, but that dream just really got to me. It was a sign for me to train harder, so that I won't let no one, not even Ash throw me off my game.
Every time someone of the gang and I crossed paths rather it was collecting water, or helping clean up it was just awkward. A few words and small smiles, and a nod here and there.
I was teaching Leafeon Energy ball. Since my Pokemon and I have been doing some very hardcore training, rather it was running at dawn before the gang woke up, battle practice, or simple statistic practice like speed, defense, and power pratice, we didn't stop. Leafeon was getting the hang of making the energy ball, but she had trouble shooting it. So I drew a target on a tree, for her to practice her aim.
"Alright Leafeon today is the day we master this move! Use energy ball!" I shout. Leafeon closes her eyes to focus and a ball of energy grows in front of her and she shoots it, but it misses the tree making her drop her ears in a sad way. I walk up to her sitting next to her.
"Don't worry about it girl, not everyone masters something in one day, you'll be fine." The target on the tree gets covered with the frubble from Frogadeir so Leafeon and I look back to see a determined Frogadeir.
He walks over to Leafeon and makes an water pulse in his hand, then launches it at the target hitting it dead on. Leafeon stands up and nods towards Frogadeir as she lets out a sound of determination and makes a energy ball and hits closer to the target.
"Wow, you almost got it! You have a supportive teacher Leafeon." I say smiling towards Frogedier. Leafeon nods and smiles at him in a way to say thank you. I take a step back, letting the two practice together and just watch. Someone walks next to me and I see it's Ash. I let out a sigh and look at him sideways.
"Are you ever going to tell me, what's wrong?" He asks softly as he sends me a sideways glance, then watches the two Pokemon in front of us.
"There's things best left unsaid." I say.
"I'm worried, you've been training really hard, and you've been quiet for the last few days, I miss you laughing and having fun with us. I miss your smile." He says, turning towards me, but I kept my focus on the Pokemon.
"You can't win with just luck, it's all about training." I say.
"Are you mad at us? Mad at me? Because you can train hard all you want, but your attitude with us is not necessary. If you have a problem, then maybe you should just go. Because you acting this way is really getting old, and I'm sick of it." He spats. I wince at his harsh words and I let out a soft whimper as I take a step away from him. I look at him in his eyes seeing the harsh glare he has on his face, but it softens once my eyes meet his.
"Ollie I-"
"Don't call me that, if you want me to go then I can." I say, picking up my bag that's sitting next to the tree.
"I don't want you to go! I just want things to okay with all of us again." He says, resting his hand on my shoulder to stop me from leaving but I shrug it off harshly.
"Leafeon let's leave." I say walking into the woods. She follows with a conflicted look and we walk away. We walk for a half an hour until I see a flyer on the ground. Leafeon sniffs it, then grabs it with her mouth and hands it to me.
"Ninja Village is having it's annual festival. Wow I haven't seen a ninja since we were in the Jhoto region. You think we should go?" I ask Leafeon and she happily agrees. I sit down on the ground, taking out my fashion kit and knit me an outfit to wear.
(Outfit at the top, it was the best I could find that matched Leafeon)
I twirl in my new outfit and smile. I place a jeweled Shaw and some cute green ninja anklets on Leafeon and she cries out happily. I place the Shaw over my head so that it hides my identity and look at my poke gear to find this village.
We walk into the cave and I see the boulder in front of us is a false entrance. I make a quick call to the Sensei I know in Jhoto to call the chief in Ninja Village to let me in. It takes about twenty minutes but they finally let me in and greet me politely. They lead me to Chief Hanzo and I bow to him.
"It's an honor to meet you." I say.
"Such greet manners, it's nice to meet you as well Champion Olivia." Chief says.
"I learned about the festival, and wanted to know if it was possible if I can participate?" I ask nervously but hide it well as I clear my throat.
"Well from what I have heard about you, is that you have learned well in the ninja ways, so my answer is yes." He says.
"Thank you Chief Hanzo." I bow. Maybe this will keep my mind occupied, and I won't think of the gang. I sigh and pull off my Shaw walking to one of the elderly man that is putting up a post and helping him steady it to which he smiles gratefully and thanks me.
Leafeon and I help the village folk decorate and some introduce themselves to me. Nihei is really cute and very sweet. I spent most of my time here helping him out. His brother comes and tells him that his other brother arrived with his friends and he leaves shortly, but promises to return, after the small reunion. I put up a few lanterns with the help of Braixen and Leafeon. My body freezes as I hear familiar voices. I place my Shaw back on my head and look back to see the gang there.
Nihei, walks towards me and introduces his brother and the gang, but I keep my head down and just wave. Nihei suggests that I battle his little brother to see if he has grown any stronger and I stutter out an answer but he just pushes me towards the middle of the village announcing the battle. I sigh and nods towards Leafeon who nods, walking in front of me ready for battle. I'm lucky that the gang hasn't noticed me, but Ash is giving me weird looks, which makes me keep my head down.
I nod towards Sanpei to make the first move. "Okay Greninja use Double team!" He shouts. Greninja runs at us at full speed turning into a dozen Greninja. I smirk and clasp my hands together focusing.
I was able to master mindlink in Jhoto when I studied with the ninjas there. Now the gang won't know it's me by my voice since I'm not talking.
"Leafeon use Frenzy plant." I say to her.
She nods and stomps her feet on the ground and dozens of vines appear from the ground getting rid of all the fake clones and the real one jumps above us.
"Magical Leaf." I say.
Leafeon lets out magical leaf. "Quick use water Shuriken!" Sanpei says, looking a little frustrated. Both moves clash and it creates smoke.
"Use night slash!" Sanpei yells.
"Counter it with Leaf blade." I say.
"How is she doing that?" Bonnie asks.
"Maybe she's a real skilled ninja?" Serena says unsure.
"Whatever it is...it's awesome!" Ash says amazed.
"It definitely has Sanpei on edge since he doesn't know what move she might come up with." Clemont says.
"Let's keep going Greninja use Night slash." Sanpei shouts.
"Use frenzy plant as a barrier like we practiced and dig yourself into the ground somehow." I say.
Leafeon uses frenzy plant and the vines form around her like a barrier so you can't see her and she digs herself under the ground. Greninja cuts through the vines but is shocked once he can't find Leafeon. I smirk as I watch everyone's faces.
"Come out and use Magical leaf." I say.
Greninja looks around for Leafeon trying to sense it, but Leafeon comes out from behind and launches magical leaf at Greninja who gets hit bad. Leafeon lands next to me and smirks proudly.
"Greninja are you okay?" Sanpei asks. Greninja gets on one knee as it looks at us weak. It slowly stands up, but falls to its knees again making everyone gasp. Since Leafeon can't get get her target right with energy ball, I'm gonna try something.
"Use energy ball." I say.
She looks back at me worriedly and shakes her head. I look at her with a calm look and nod.
"Use energy ball, then hit it with Leaf blade so that it launches faster and it aims right." I say to her.
She nods and takes a deep breath jumping up using energy ball, then hits the ball of energy with Leaf blade which hits makes it hit harder at Greninja who gets hit sent him back hitting the ground, unable to battle.
"Greninja!" Sanpei shouts and runs to his Greninja along with Ash.
Greninja sits up slowly with a sigh. Sanpei looks frustrated and lets out a sigh.
"I didn't stand a chance against her." Sanpei says. Chief Hanzo walks towards to Sanpei
"You left too many openings to beat against anyone else, you should of been able to claim victory with your very first night slash." The chief explains. Sanpei gasps and looks at the chief confused.
"Chief I don't understand." He says.
"You should have noticed Leafeon gracefully and skillfully blocked your night slash mere moments before it made contact." Sanpei oldest brother Ippei says. I giggle and take off my Shaw.
"We took the least amount of damage and just waited to make a good counter attack." I shrug.
"So she speaks." Nihei chuckles making me send a playful glare his way.
"Olivia!?" The gang shout. I send a subtle wave towards them flipping my hair behind me, happy to take that Shaw off, it was very hot under there.
"Hello." I say politely.
"You know them?" Nihei asks.
"I used to travel with them." I say with a small smile. Sanpei takes a step toward me and bows.
"I am glad to have lost to a tough opponent such as yourself, now I can train harder, and do better next time." He says.
"That's sweet of you, but you and Greninja need to be more in sync with each other. Your moves are strong, but the full power and strategy behind them, is just weak." I say.
"How did you make Leafeon do all those moves?" Bonnie asks.
"Something I learned from Jhoto, when I trained with a few fellow ninjas. I never really used it, but I thought it was a good time to use it." I shrug.
"Leafeon seems really strong, must be because it has a wonderful trainer." Nihei says, taking my hand in his kissing it making me smile shyly and pull my hand back to my side.
"Thank you." I say.
"Hey guys let me show you my room." Sanpei says and the gang agree and he leaves with them.
"I'm glad your brother knows how to take constructive criticism, I would have cried." I say with a small laugh.
"He's been really working hard." Nihei says watching them leave.
"I can tell." I nod.
"Want a tour? I can show you my room. I want to show you some history of Ninja Village." He says reaching out his hand.
"I would like that." I say and place my hand in his open one and he leads me down a few tunnels explaining where each one goes too.
"I think it will be best if my brother stayed to train here. I know he wants to be a very strong pokemon trainer." Nihei says after a few moments of silence.
"That sounds great." I say.
"The Chief is going to retire after tomorrow's festival." Nihei says.
"Do you have any idea who's suitable to take over?" I ask.
"Its been decided that Ippei will take over and become Chief." He responds. I nod.
"Its understandable, he seems to know what might be best for this place. Plus, he has awesome brothers to back him up." I say elbowing Nihei's side playfully and he nods with a chuckle. I stop in front of a door when I hear Bonnie's worried voice. I look at Nihei with a confused and worried look as I hurriedly open the door.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"I can't find Dedenne and Squishy." Bonnie says sadly.
"Sanpei do you think they could of went through the trap door on your floor." Nihei says.
"It's possible." Sanpei says, kneeling down and knocking on the floorboards until the trap door opens.
"Wait how did you know something was wrong?" Serena asks.
"We were on our way to Nihei's room, when I heard Bonnie, who sounded scared and I just opened the door." I explain.
"You both were going to Nihei's room...then heard Bonnie....then opened the door." Ash says slowly.
"I just said that, but yes." I shrug.
"Hmph." He nods with a look on his face that I'm unable to read.
"Well what are we waiting for." I say elbowing Nihei playfully and jump down the trap door. I hear Bonnie go next followed by the others.
We all slide down this big open cave. I land safely with Leafeon right next to me and move to the side before anyone can land on me. I look to see Ippei has both Dedenne and Squishy in his hands. When Bonnie lands next to me she sighs in relief and runs to Ippei taking the Pokemon from him.
"I was worried." She says.
"I knew they were down here." Nihei says.
"Its beautiful down here." I say, turning my body to get a good look of the place.
"Come, I want to show you something." Nihei says, taking my hand pulling me.
"This monument was dedicated to The hero of the Village." Nihei explains.
"Here let me show you." Ippei says, pushing the door open. We all gasp as we look around the small room, seeing pictures of a Pokemon.
"The hero of the Village was a Pokemon?" Ash asks as we look at the picture of a greninja.
"Yes, a fight broke into Ninja Village, where all ninjas fought." Ippei explains.
"Wow ninjas fighting other ninjas." Bonnie says amazed.
"The hero of the Village helped stop the war ad saved the village. My first partner was a Froakie til I raised it to a Frogadeir and finally a Greninja just like the Greninja who saved the village." Ippei explains.
"Same goes for me." Sanpei adds.
"But, this Greninja looks different than any other I've ever seen." Bonnie says, and we all agree as we study the picture. We step out the small monument looking up to see shackles shaking wildly.
"That's the outside alarm." Nihei says. "We better check it out, Sanpei take your friends to Chief's place and wait there." Ippei instructs.
"I'm going with you guys." I say taking a step forward. Nihei shakes his head, taking my hands in his.
"It's too dangerous just please go with the others and let us handle it." He says looking at me. I clench my teeth together ready to argue, but now is not the time, so I just nod and leave with the others. Sanpei leads the way to Chief's place and we run into the room.
"Chief, Ippei told me to come to you and wait here." Sanpei explains. Smoke appears in the room and we all turn back to the entry to see a guy in a mask.
"Chief Hanzo, you're coming with me." The stranger says.
"You wish. Leafeon magical leaf!" I shout stepping in front of the Chief. The stranger dodges it with ease and more smoke appears making it harder to see and I feel something sticky wrap around me and someone step behind me lifting me up pulling me away.
"Let me go! This isn't how you treat a lady! Don't make me kick you! I bite too." I say as they carry me away.
"Chief!"
"Olivia!" I hear, but it's too late, we were already too far to be see them. They take us somewhere very far and we all stop at a cliff. They drop both me and the Chief on the ground and tie us up harshly. This constant damsel in distress thing is starting to get annoying. Like why me?
"Look you already captured us, the extra harshness is really not necessary." I spat.
"It doesn't matter because there is no escape for you." The stranger says.
"It appears so, there's no need for disguise so you might as well take your mask off kagetomo." The Chief says.
"Always the clever one, it's amazing how you saw right through my mask." Kagetomo says taking off his mask smirking at us.
"What exactly do you want? The Chief's emblem. If that's what you want, you would be happy to know it's in my pocket." The Chief says.
"I won't steal it, you will present it to me at the festival. You will above to the villagers that I am taking over as Chief. Only then I will let you both go." Kagetomo says.
"Even if he did agree to such a ridiculous announcement, the villagers would never accept you as their leader." I laugh.
Kagetomo kneels in front of us. "I will make them accept me, I will use my power."
A ninja walks over to us. "The villagers know about our whereabouts, they will be here shortly kagetomo."
"Everything is going as planned. We need Ippei to intercept them." As if on cue Ippei and some other guy appear with their pokemon.
"Are you two alright?" He asks.
"I grew weary waiting. Weavile lets go!" Kagetomo shouts throwing a Pokeball.
"This could take awhile." I sigh.
"This battle will determine who deserves to be Chief. Weavile attack!" Kagetomo shouts.
"Greninja go!" Ippei shouts. The two battle out each other and I try to undo my ropes, but some how its like a real impossible knot. The gang appears with Sanpei, Nihei, and Shinobu. I look towards the gang and they look towards us relieved that we're both alive.
My eyes meet Ash and he mouths 'Are you Okay?' I just nod his way with a smile.
"I will return to the Ninja Village as their new leader, Weaville use Giga impact!" Kagetomo shouts.
"Greninja double team." Ippei orders. Weavile manages to get rid of all the clones with Giga impact, but the real one comes from under the ground and attack Weavile sending me to the ground hard.
"Greninja use water Shuriken!" Ippei shouts. Greninja sends a water Shuriken at Weaville who gets hit pretty badly and can't seem to find the will to fight back.
"Weavile what are you doing!? Get up and fight back!" Kagetomo hlshout out angrily.
"That's enough! Can't you see your Pokemon is badly hurt. You lost! It's over put away your pride and help your Pokemon." I spat out harshly. Kagetomo looks up and sees all of his ninjas tied up and he lets out a gasp.
"I lost." He says. I look to see Leafeon is standing next to Ash and he runs over to me cutting both the Chief's and my ropes setting us free.
"You lost because you lack something, which is devotion." The chief says.
"He battles for the future of the people, he keeps everything he's got for the future of each of every Pokemon. For the people, the Pokemon and the whole world. That is the way of the ninja. That is why you were deleted. That is also why you weren't chosen as leader of the Village." The Chief says.
"Your Weavile battled well, it deserves your praise and respect." Ippei says, walking over. Kagetomo walks over to Weavile and helping him stand.
"You battled amazingly Weavile thank you." He says.
"You are a great ninja. Use your power for the good of the people, pokemon, and the whole world." Ippei says to Kagetomo.
We all make it back to the village, and the gang keeps asking me if I'm okay and I just nod with a smile. I stand by Ash and see a Greninja next to him.
"Frogadeir evolved?" I ask him. He looks towards me shocked that I'm speaking to him and smiles.
"Yeah while we were battling to save you guys Frogadeir evolved. Something weird happened too. It's like Greninja took a whole new different form when we battled, I don't know." Ash says.
"I'm proud, and happy for the both of you." I say.
"Thanks, and Olivia can I ask you something?" He asks slowly.
"You just did." I snort. He shakes his head and chuckles.
"I'm serious." He says.
"Ask away." I say.
"Can we start over?" He says. I look towards him, then the rest of the gang who are close by and they're laughing having a good time. I finally look back at him in his brown eyes and smile. I take a step closer to him and hug him.
"Of course." I mumble. He hugs me back and sighs in relief which makes me laugh pulling away.
"Will you come with us?" He asks.
"Of course, and I wanted to apologize for the way I was acting, maybe soon I can tell you why. For now, lets just leave it be." I say, reaching my hand out.
"Deal." He says, shaking my hand.
"I'm impressed Ash, Frogadeir evolved." Ippei says walking over with Sanpei and their Greninjas.
"Its amazing now all our Frogadeirs evolved." Sanpei cheers.
"Greninja and I plan to work real hard." Ash says and Greninja lets out a sound of agreement.
"I look forward to seeing your progress." Ippei says.
"Thank you." Ash says. Ippei leaves and the festival begins, we all gather around the elsewhere the Chief and Ippei are standing.
"After a lot of consideration, I have decided who will be the next Chief of Ninja Village. It is the bright young man next to me, Ippei." The Chief says, handing over the Chief emblem to Ippei who gratefully takes it and bows to the Chief. He then raises the emblem in the air and everyone cheers. The festival continues and we all have a great time.

I stand by the ninjas as the gang prepares to leave. "Thank you for everything." Serena says.
"The ninja festival was awesome!" Bonnie cheers.
"I hope you pay a visit whenever you're near by, your always welcome." Hanzo says.
"Thanks, that's so very kind of you." Clemont says.
"Good luck to you on your eighth gym battle Ash. I will be cheering for you all the way." Sanpei says.
"Thanks Sanpei, good luck to the both of you." Ash says.
"Thanks." Sanpei chuckles.
"Ready Olivia?" Ash asks.
"Of course." I say stepping out from behind the ninjas and stand by the gang.
"Wait! Your coming with us!?" Clemont asks.
"Sure am, if that's okay with you guys." I say.
"Yay! The gang is all back together!" Bonnie cheers jumping up and down and hugs me and I laugh hugging her back.
"Welcome back." Serena says. "Glad to have the old Olivia back." Clemont nods.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate that." I smile shyly.
"So, I guess that means you're really leaving." Nihei says, walking towards me as his brothers and Hanzo head back to the village. I turn towards him with a nod.
"I had a really good time, thanks for everything." I say.
"I was really hoping you would stay, but I see that you belong with the rest of the group. You guys look like a really good team. Promise me you will come back?" He says with a sly smile. I giggle and nod.
"Of course, maybe we could battle when we see each other again." I smirk.
"Looking forward to it." He chuckles.
"Goodbye Nihei." I say.
"Goodbye Olivia." He says and gently leans in pressing his lips against mine for a short second then pulls away with a smirk walking away. I stand there shocked not being able to move as I watch him leave.
He turns his back looking at me and winks with a wave. I wave slowly and Bonnie and Serena have to drag me so that I could walk. They giggle and coo at me teasingly making me blush more. I touch my lips gently and smile.
"I think I like Ninja Village." I say with a grin.
"Yeah, more like someone in Ninja village." Bonnie laughs making me laugh as well.
"That was so romantic, eeeeeep it was so cute! I'm jealous." Serena says.
"You girls are crazy." Clemont says while chuckling.
"Leafeon did really well against Greninja." Ash says. Leafeon's ears pick up at the sound of her name and cheers out. I rub her head while smiling.
"Thanks, I just wish we could get that energy ball down pact." I say.
"You picked a smart strategy to fix the flaw, though." Clemont says.
"Thanks Clemont." I say.
"Yeah the leaf blade to make sure it landed on target was genius." Serena adds.
"Hey guys." I say as I stop walking. They stop walking as well and turns towards me.
"I just wanted to apologize for my behavior these last couple days. I can't really tell you why, but maybe in the near future, I can really explain it. I'm just not ready to tell you guys yet." I say.
"You can tell us when you're ready, no rush." Clemont says.
"Yeah, I'm just glad we are all friends again." Bonnie says.
"Me too Bonnie." I smile.
"Plus, I want to plan your ninja wedding." She adds. I start choking on my own spit, with Serena pats my back helping me calm down and I thank her.
Clemont chuckles as he watches my reaction and Ash just stays silent walking ahead of us. He turns back to meet my eyes and gives me a small smile, but then turns back and we all head to Snowbelle city for our last Kalos badge.
