A/N: FT Manga readers, where you at?
Our gajevy hearts have been both satisfied and twisted...
And Gajeel! OMG, He was exceptionally badass this time!! XD
Chapter 91:
"So," Erik swallowed as he breathed in the dark wizard's scent, "He's been here recently..."
Gajeel grunted, "You know the First 'nd him showed up togeth'r right? He probably destroyed the guys who beat her up..."
The Poison dragon slayer nodded, "That's probably it... Gotta get this over to Jellal..."
"How do we get 'im to talk?" Gajeel questioned as he listened to the blabbering that continued inside the room, "We need to clear the Thunder idiots with the dumb ol' Council..."
Erik nodded, lost in thought.
The two men stood together in silence for a few minutes.
Gajeel slowly looked up as Erik did.
"You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?"
Erik smirked.
Gajeel cracked his knuckles, the only way he knew how to get people to open up.
"And now for the first battle of the day, Yukino Agria vs. Kagura!!"
The crowd roared in response as the two beautiful women entered the arena, both unsmiling and steady.
Lucy watched in apprehension as she stood by her friends in their cozy balcony.
The magic energy that surrounded Yukino was very similar to the one that she possessed and noting both Loke and Aries' reactions, the pretty blond knew that Yukino used Celestial Magic.
Clutching Natsu's scarf, Lucy sighed, wondering why she was so nervous.
Everyone looked so confident all the time.
They always seemed to know how things would work or what to do to make things go the way they wanted to.
Lucy doubted her ability to stay on par with the magic users in her own team.
The greatest fear she had was that she would lose and let her school down.
"Yo, you okay?"
The blond jerked up at Gray's voice, "Huh? Oh, y-yeah... Yeah!"
Gray stared, "Are you sure?"
Lucy nodded, trying to bring up a smile, "Totally. Just watching!"
The ice-make mage watched her for a moment before giving her a smile in return, "Nervous?"
Lucy nodded slowly as she felt Mirajane come up beside her.
"It's alright, Lucy..."
Mirajane reached over to take Lucy's hand in her soft one, "You'll do great. We'll all be rooting for you too! And no matter what happens, we know that you'll give it your best shot!!"
"You usually do." Laxus remarked from behind the group.
Lucy blinked before glancing over at Gray who smirked, "Don't forget Flamebrain who'll pulverize anyone who dares attack ya."
Lucy felt her lips twitch up as Mirajane laughed her soft, adorable laugh.
"Thanks, guys..."
As the pretty girl leaned into Mirajane's slender shoulder, she couldn't help but love her school and team a little more than she already did.
A single slash from Kagura's sword had Yukino sinking to her knees.
Gaping tears across her dress and several wounds crisscrossing her body, Yukino kept her head bowed, hot tears pouring down her cheeks.
Sabertooth had lost this round.
A roar of applause rang across the arena.
Yukino sobbed unheard as Kagura walked away from the field.
A loud bang silenced a few people in the audience.
Sting Eucliffe was not pleased.
Lifting herself to her feet, Yukino turned away from the cheering crowd to slowly make her way to where her team kept themselves company.
The girl felt her heart grow heavy with every step she took upward, leading to the balcony style room her School mates stood in.
She had failed them.
Sting, Rogue, Rufus, Minerva...
Yukino had failed them all.
She stepped into the room, her lips pressed tightly to keep from crying and her head bowed in shame.
"Yukino!"
She blinked up in surprise when she heard the happiness in the tone her team mates used.
Sting's grin caught her eye first.
"You were great out there."
Yukino burst into tears.
"Oh."
"Aw, man."
"Really now, Sting."
"I don't know what I said!!"
"Don't just stand there."
Yukino sobbed into her hands while her team threw comments at each other.
Finally, an arm slid around her shoulder and pulled her into a warm embrace.
The beautiful girl froze as a hot breath tickled her neck.
A single earring tapped against the pretty rose on her hair.
Sting pulled her closer and she swallowed, her heart rate increasing and tears stopping almost immediately.
"It's okay, Yukino." Sting said and she felt her stomach drop at the closeness of his husky tone.
Her entire body leaning into him, Yukino hesitated to ease her head against his shirt as the collar of his dark blue coat tickled her nose.
His hand touched her hair and slowly pushed her deeper into his chest.
Another hand snaked across to her waist and caught hold of her.
"You did great," He breathed giving her hip a squeeze.
Yukino squealed when she jerked away from him.
Everyone looked at Sting in surprise.
The handsome dragon slayer looked genuinely shocked, "What?"
Rogue gave him a pointed stare as Yukino hugged herself, her face sompletely flushed.
"Sting, you idiot."
"What?!" Sting still looked perplexed, "Don't just look at me! Tell me what I did!!"
"There they are!!"
Romeo ran over to a pair of young people standing beside a food stall, "That must be them, Wendy."
Wendy kept pace with the boy, beautiful blue hair waving in the wind, "Yeah. Quick, Romeo!"
The two students finally reached the pair who stood by the stall.
Wendy was the first to catch her breath before she leant down to watch Romeo pull himself up as well.
"You okay?" Wendy giggled.
Romeo blinked before laughing, "Yeah. I'm good!"
Glancing over, the two students caught sight of the towering man in a dark jacket, a long scar across his face.
Romeo looked over at Wendy once and the students exchanged shrugs before walking forward.
"Hello..." Wendy began timidly, causing the two to look over.
"Oh, hello!" The girl smiled.
"Would you be Lisanna Strauss?" Romeo voiced from behind Wendy.
The girl with short, pretty hair blinked, "Yes. Are you from my sister's school?"
Romeo and Wendy nodded together, "We were wondering if you'd like to join us where we sit with the rest of the school."
The two people blinked in surprise, "Would that be okay?"
Wendy nodded, "We can all cheer together!"
"Cheering is manly!" The towering man grinned a scary grin.
Wendy and Romeo blinked before glancing at each other before looking back at the weird pair of siblings.
Lisanna laughed, "Well alright, why don't you lovers show us where to go?"
Romeo felt his face heat up, "We w-were not-"
Wendy only nodded, turning and stalking away quickly.
Lisanna blinked at the reactions of the two young students before giggling, "Come on, brother... Let's go get seats..."
Elfman only nodded, "Alright, sis."
"You did what?" Jellal didn't bother to hide his sigh.
Gajeel grinned, "We beat 'em all up."
The azure haired man swallowed slowly, "I see... Effective interrogation?"
"It was." Erik smirked from his corner.
Jellal bit the inside of his mouth, wondering how he was going to make this look normal on his report.
At least this meant that the Thunder Legion were cleared.
Raven Tail High had been messing with Fairy Tail using Phantom Lord High. They had tried to frame the Thunder Legion with everything including Master Mavis' violent incident.
From what Erik and Gajeel narrated, it seemed as though the dark mage hadn't been too happy about the situation and had decided to take things into his own hands.
The same way the two friends he had had decided to do things their way.
"Alright. I should have seen this coming, I suppose... I-"
"Gajeel!!"
The man was by her the slender bookworm's side in a minute.
Jellal sighed again.
Any more of these couples in his team and they'd all have to go on a group date.
Glancing over at a certain scarlet haired beauty, he decided that it might not be such a bad idea.
Mirajane watched as Lyon Vastia swirled up a large, gleaming ice rod.
Letting her powerful tail thump against the ground, the beautiful mage let the boy play for a few minutes before she lost patience.
One whip of her tail sent the man flying into a wall, a collective gasp going around the arena.
It impressed the take-over mage when the boy stood once again, not losing his cool composure for a second.
He came at her again, freezing the ground with the intensity of his magic power.
She dodged each of his blows before smirking at the slight fear that settled into his eyes.
Lyon Vastia had been a real pain when it had seemed like he would come between her beautiful friend and her crush.
A swivel of her body landed a powerful kick to Lyon's stomach, ending the match and ensuring Fairy Tail High's first win.
