CLARY
It's been five days since I've found out that I'm having twins. I couldn't be elated when Mom and I found out. I've been crying since those words came out of the doctor's mouth. I feel happy and angry at Valentine at the same time. I'm having twins. Jace and I are having twins, and I couldn't be happier. But there's still the fact that he cannot know, with Valentine threatening the baby and the life of Jace, I don't know what should and shouldn't do. Mom and I met, came to Celine that day immediately after the appointment, she also cried when I told her. She said that we should tell Jace about it, but I reminded her what about Valentine. Her expression then changed telling me that I'm right, I shouldn't tell him.
She also told me that, if I won't tell him, I should break up with him. That shocked me the most. That she would tell me that, that she demanded that I should break up with Jace. Not that I don't want to, I know I should do it, but I can't. I can't be the one who'll break up with him, it should be him. I can't say those words to him.
"CLARY!" Izzy's voiced shocked me. She just yelled at me.
"What the hell, Izzy..." I said annoyingly. We are taking our lunch in the cafeteria when I started day dreaming again.
"You zoned out. Again!" She said.
"Sorry..." I told her. She sighed. Tessa, on the other hand, is looking worriedly at me, thank the Angel the boys are at the other table.
"I'm fine. Just thinking. " I murmured.
"So Jace's birthday is coming..." Cece said. My eyes widen that I forgot about it. I haven't even planned something.
"Seeing the looks on your face, you forgot. Jace wanted to have a small gathering. Just us. " Cece told us. I nodded.
"Where will it be? " I ask them.
"Your place, of course..." Izzy told me with a playful smack on my shoulder. I smiled.
"Alright, then..."

With the sound of my alarm, I immediately stood up, rubbing off the sleep on my eyes, getting into the shower. Nathan and I have a meeting at the Wayland corp, at nine in the morning.
I showered and got dressed into my corporate attire.
"Where are you going?" Jace's hoarse voice booms as I was fixing my makeup. I turned around smiling at him.
"We have a meeting at the Wayland. Didn't I tell you?.." I ask confusingly.
"You didn't..." He said, his voice is masked with annoyance. But I didn't bother asking him why, he's so annoyed, given the fact that he just woke up.
"Sorry. But I'll be back later at noon..." I told him, standing up, strutting towards him, took a seat right beside him.
"Let me drive you..." He said. I stopped him and said that I'll be fine and gave him a quick kiss.
JACE
"Hey, Clary just left. Why is she on the rush?" Jon asked me the moment I went downstairs. Izzy and Jon are making breakfast together. Just like Clary and I before, I wonder when would be things go back the same way before. I rubbed the back of my head grabbing the chair to take a seat.
"She said she had a meeting.." I told them casually. Izzy looked at me.
"Did she even greet you?" She asked, as she gave me a plate of pancakes with a 'Happy Birthday' on it. I chuckled.
"Thanks. Good for you, you remembered..."
"She didn't?" Jon asks. I shook my head.
"Are we still on later?" Izzy asked.
"Of course..." I told her.
Clary's been busy for awhile now, that I often see her in the house, and school. The only moment that I get to be with her peacefully is every night whenever we go to bed. But still it's nothing like before, right now, even though we still sleep in the same house, same bed, we barely talk to each other, but I've grown to be patient with her. She wanted to keep me, she can. As long as she has time for me, I'm alright with it, even though, it's only an hour, a minute.
"You know, Clary's been busy, for a while now..." Izzy commented. I looked at her and sighed. Jon was looking at me like he was expecting me to say something bad about it. But I didn't.
"Yeah..." I told them.
"What are you really planning, Jace? Aren't you that concern at all?" Jon ask with his serious tone.
"I...I really don't know. I'm. I'm going to wait..." I told them. I really need to talk this one out. I thought to myself.
"You know, if you can't tell us what's going on in that mind of yours. Maybe you should talk to Cecily or Will, they're your siblings. They're so worried about you..." Izzy told me, putting a reassuring hand on top of mine. I sighed.
"I don't want to bother anyone..."
"You're not bothering any of us. You need to tell us, what really is going on, in that mind of yours..." Jon pointed out.
"Jon's right..." Simon's voice beams, I turned to look at him gave him a curt nod, as he grab a plate of pancakes.
"Honestly, I've been doing all that I can do. But it seems that it's not working...." I told them. They all gave me a curious and confused look. I gulped.
"Clary and I..... " I bite my lip because I can't say it. Given the fact that Jon is his brother. And well I'm not really the type who talks about sex life.
"What???" Jon asks curiously.
"Whenever Clary and I, have sex I don't use protection..." I blurted out, Izzy's eyes widens in shock as she gasps. Jon chuckled.
"You know, the both of you need some alone time, together, for the whole day. The both of you need to talk. Like, lock yourselves up in your bedroom...." Jon says with a grin. He's not angry at all, like really? He isn't concerned about Clary getting pregnant.
Hours have past, Jon and I are the kitchen together rinsing the dishes as Izzy busy herself into her phone. Jon and I are in the middle of something, when Izzy gasps and covered her mouth, her eyes are wide looking into her phone. She looks at us and hide her phone. That gives me a confused look at her.
"What was it?" I asked her. She shook her head.
"Nothing. Just. Um. Continue your thing....." She stuttered. I groaned and went to grab my phone.
I scan my news feed and there, I drop the plate that I was holding, looking through the new pictures of Nathan and Clary. I can't help but to feel jealous and angry even though I know that this is just staged. But why. Why do I feel so hurt? They were laughing and eating at Taki's. They're having a lunch date, they even hold hands as they walk to the streets.
"I'm sure, it doesn't mean anything, Jace..."
"What was it?" Jon asked since he wasn't really concerned about it. He struts and take a peek into my phone. He was also too shocked.
"You know that they're faking it, right?.." Jon stated. I gulped and blinked putting down my phone.
"Yeah, I know..." I told them. But I can't help but to feel angry. Given the fact that it's my birthday today, and Clary didn't even remembered it.
Seven hours later.....
'Hey. I'm coming home late. I'm at Nathan's need to finish some paperwork.'
I looked at Clary's text message. I groaned and decided that I'm really getting drunk tonight. She doesn't really remember at all. I didn't text her back, though because I'm too angry to care. I don't really know what to think anymore.
"Where's Clary?.." Cecily ask for like a millionth time after we ate dinner.
"She's getting home late..." I told them. They all looked at me with sad faces.
"I'm fine..." I chuckled and told them that we should start the party. Since it's my birthday after all. But the truth is I'm devastated that she isn't here, to celebrate with me. What confused me more is that, she's with Nathan, and I'm sure the guys texted Nathan about this gathering of ours. Is she that busy that she's brushing off this party? Or Nathan too has forgotten.
It was passed 11 when Clary and Nathan arrived at the penthouse. Clary's face lightens when she saw us all, she ran towards me and hugged me tightly.
"I'm sorry. Happy Birthday..." She said with a smile as she pulled away looking up at me. Of course seeing her here made me happy. I brushed my feelings off and kissed her.
"Happy Birthday, Man. I'm sorry that we're late..." Nathan greeted me as soon as Clary pulled away from me. I thanked Nathan.
"Have you guys ate?" I asked them sincerely.
"I already have. But Clary here insisted that we should rush here..." Nathan told me.
"How come you already have. And Clary hasn't?" I asked confusingly.
"She's been focusing on her work. She doesn't want to stop. Since she wanted to finish early..." Nathan told me. I looked down on Clary. She shrugged.
"Don't listen to him. The truth is I really forgot that it's your birthday. That's why I wanted to finish early. And I want your pancakes...." Clary told me with puppy dog eyes. I chuckled.
Izzy and Jon almost choked on their drink, when they heard about it. I don't know why, though. The looks on their faces seem odd.
"What's with the two of you?" I asked them. They just shook their heads.
"I'm going to change. I'll be back..." Clary told me and left.

So I might not going to update my other stories for awhile because I'm going to focus on this. The end is near. And I'm pushing it, so that I can end this fic.
