RECAP:
The School founder danced onto the stage and the Head Master looked up in shock.
"First!" He said bewildered, "You said you did not want to preside over the meeting!"
"I did," Mavis said, her beautiful bangs falling into her calm eyes, "But, surely you can sense the waves of power and bonds of friendship from here."
Makarov nodded as they surveyed the noisy hall in front of them.
Laxus and Mira glanced at each other and Laxus smiled, causing Mira to blink.
"What a wonderful family!" Mavis said, her voice saturated with love and heartbreaking care.
"Yes," Makarov said.
"Children."
The entire hall fell silent and looked over to the stage.
"Before we win the Tests," Makarov's voice roared through the room, "I'll have to announce the names of those who are actually going."
The Chamber burst into shouts and applause.
Mavis looked over at Mira with a smile and Mirajane smiled back.
"Your girlfriend's boyfriend is here." The first mouthed.
Laxus' eyebrows raised when Mira blinked.
The students looked up to see Jellal finally enter the room.
Gildarts chuckled.
"Alright, already." Makarov shouted over the noise and the students went silent, "Listen, up. I've finally selected the students who will be going in from Fairy Tail High."
The kids perked up.
Each stood straight, ready and waiting. As though their names would be called out any second.
Natsu's face was an eager look of impatience.
"These are the kids selected!" Makarov's voice rang strong and clear throughout the large hall, "First, Juvia Locksar!"
"Sir!" The blue haired swimmer jumped up.
"Lucy Heartfilia!"
Lucy pumped her fist up, too excited to speak.
"Laxus Dreyar!"
Laxus said nothing but a spark of energy entered the tense, silently excited hall.
"Mirajane Strauss!"
"Yes, Master!" The gorgeous girl beamed from her place next to the Head Master.
"Gray Fullbuster!"
"Right!" Gray yelled up.
"And, Natsu Dragneel!!"
"OOOOOOH YEEEEEAHHH!!!" Natsu's holler almost shook the hall.
Students laughed, others nudged each other, their faces stretched to fit in huge grins.
"You have all been selected to represent the school under Loke."
The seven people stepped forward as the others made way.
"Fairy Tail High, I give you: Team Loke!"
A roar of applause went through the hall with students whistling and shouting, most clapping and cheering excitedly.
Loke bowed.
The other selected people stared at him before hurrying to do the same.
"Listen up!" Makarov yelled again and the students began to quieten down.
"We'll all be rooting for these kids to win. We'll all be there. Now, I don't want any of you others to relax in your training and begin to laze. Each and every one of you should be ready to substitute in if necessary. Am I clear?!"
"Yes, Sir!" A thousand voices yelled.
Makarov smiled as the students began to yell among themselves again and slowly make their way to the exit of the main hall.
His students.
They always dismissed themselves.
He would just have to write it off as mind synchronization.
"Mira?"
"Yes, Master."
The gorgeous girl ran across the stage and down the stairs to stop the few students who were left from leaving.
Makarov wanted to chuckle in joy.
It really suited him to run a school.
He heard a small sniffle and turned around.
"What," Mavis' face was a mess with tears streaming down her cheeks and her nose running.
"What beautiful children!!" She cried, breaking down.
Makarov's jaw dropped.
How the hell was he supposed to deal with a crying woman?
He looked over at Laxus who looked just as shocked and clueless as he did.
"Laxus!" The master was paralised in fear, "Do something!!"
"What can I do?!" His grandson yelled at him, "YOU do something!"
Gajeel had a good mind to punch Natsu in the face.
The fire breathing idiot had a cheeks splitting grin as he wiggled his ugly eyebrows.
"Looks like you didn't get selected, metal head!"
Natsu's annoying face went into a serious looking pout, "I wonder what this means?"
He looked deep into Gajeel's red eyes, "Could it be that I'm stronger than you?"
"The hell if that's true!" Gajeel punched him straight into a wall.
"Boys!" Mira called their attention again, "The Master will speak to you now."
The students stopped chatting to turn to the old man.
Mirajane stepped back as Makaroc stepped forward.
"Alright kids, this is what I wanted to tell ya," He began, "Mirajane must've already told yeh just how much the Council's told me. They want us to give them a special team that'll keep troublemakers away while the Tests happen. I've chosen a few of you and you may note that that is probably the reason you were not selected for the Tests. Ready?"
The students looked up at him with steady gazes.
Mira waited for the master to speak.
She'd been chosen on the Tests and Erza had not.
Did this mean that beautiful friend would be a part of this new secret team?
Jellal stood next to Mira and the girl glanced over at the serious face of the azure haired man.
Mira wondered when Jellal and Erza would get together.
An involuntary smile spread across her face.
Maybe they needed a little push.
"So these are the special chosen, Levy McGarden!"
"Sir!" Levy's tiny but strong voice echoed in the almost completely hall.
"Cana Alberona!"
"Right!" The brunette shouted before taking a swig of soda.
"Erik!"
The calm boy looked up.
Mirajane could see the annoyance in his eyes, but his face was calm. As usual.
"Erza Scarlet!"
"Yes, Sir!" Erza's authoritative voice made everyone straighten up.
Mira smiled.
Scarlet huh?
She wondered who had added that secret name in.
Jellal's face was calm and innocent.
"And Gajeel Redfox."
Gajeel only grunted.
"You will all take command under Jellal Fernandez."
The group looked over at the regal looking man.
"He will be in charge. You will take care of any suspicious activity during the tests. Is that understood, brats?"
"Yes, Sir!"
Mirajane surveyed the group.
They all looked sincere and obedient.
Even Erza atleast looked like she'd take orders to a certain level.
A certain handsome male didn't look all to excited to be part of the team.
Erik probably wanted to stay at the library during the tests.
A/N: Okay, I couldn't fit in the Jerza part I had planned.
So, I'll fit in (maybe) something extra for Jerza tomorrow.
Yes, tomorrow.
