Kaia POV

I try and sneak my eyes behind the corner.

They're still there.

I woke up this morning to the sound of clicking and shouting. I looked out my window to see a huddle of people with cameras placed against their eyes.

I had immediately woken up Lia to show her. And of course, Lia went on to Twitter to see that #LouisMysteryGirl was trending.

That's what showed me that these people are out there for me.

"Lia" I half whisper, half yell. "They're still here."

"Ugh" Lia complains. "They're blocking the door and I really want to go across the street and get McDonald's for lunch."

"I bought the frozen pizza yesterday" I say. "Why can't you eat that?"

"Because I want McDonald's!" She protests.

We wait around for them to leave for a while until Lia gives up.

"That's it" she exclaims. "I'm going for the food."

She grabs her purse and slips on her shoes.

Within seconds I can see Lia pushing through the group of people, occasionally swearing at them and shoving past them.

She stomps her way across the street.

The paparazzi continued waiting outside. Some even started buzzing the button to call my apartment.

Like I would in any situation, I went on Twitter.

Before writing a new message, I opened my notifications tab to see that so many people have started following me.

"Oh my god" I quietly whisper to myself.

I go to write a new tweet.

Hey guys. I know I've been kinda popular in the media lately. All that was happening that day at Starbucks was just me meeting Louis for the first time in a while. And to the paps, please get out of the way. My friend only wanted McDonald's.

I upload it to my Twitter and throw my phone down onto my bed.

How do famous people deal with this everywhere they go?

I turn on the telly to distract me a bit. It doesn't help very much because all of the channels are reporting about Louis' mystery girl.

After giving up on the cable, I grab my laptop to begin playing Netflix. That's just as good as TV. Maybe even better.

I continue watching a movie I had started last week until Lia bursts into the room.

I look up to see that her clothes have been tampered with and her hair is messier than before. She's also clutching a McDonald's paper bag.

"Can you please tell them to leave?" She asks desperately.

"What am I supposed to say?" I ask. "Anything I do say will be in next months issue of PopNews as an exclusive interview with Louis' mystery girl."

"Just wait till the next page and then you can tell them to get away" Lia says, gesturing to the speaker next to my door.

As if on cue, the speaker buzzes signalling someone has paged up.

"Can you please leave me alone?!?!" I ask, nearly yelling into the small box.

Voices begin to rise on the other side and I can hear the clicking of cameras.

"Seriously!" I scream. "Don't you people have anything better to do with your life?"

I storm away from the speaker and collapse on the couch.

"Their still here" Lia remarks, glancing through the curtains.

Through all of this chaos, I can't help but wonder, is Louis thinking about this too?

Louis POV

My eyes stop as I see something new posted from Kaia on Twitter.

As I read the message, anger begins to boil up inside me.

"Mate, what's up?" Harry asks seeing my upset expression.

"They're bothering her" I say.

"Who's bothering who?" he asks for clarification.

"The paparazzi" I reply. "They're bothering Kaia."

"That Starbucks girl?" Liam asks.

"Yeah" I say. "I just want to tell everyone to quit it."

"Why don't you?" Niall asks.

"How would I?" I say exasperated.

"The interview tomorrow" Harry says. "They're bound to ask about it and you can tell everyone then to leave her alone."

"That's good" I reply. "Thanks, haz."

"I try" Harry says, flipping his long, curly hair.

(The next day)

"I'd also like to address something more recent in the media" our interviewer says, looking to her clipboard of questions. "There've been some rumours of Louis and a girl potentially in a relationship?"

"I'm kind of glad you asked that question" I say. "Kaia is a friend of mine from high school and we just met up because we haven't seen each other in a long time. It's been bothering me because the paparazzi have been really giving her a hard time and I don't like seeing her upset."

The interviewer nods.

In my mind I'm thinking, that was too speech-like, wasn't it? But I'm feeling confident that this will get everyone to stop bothering Kaia.

We continue with the interview.

After the interview, we head back to the flat to relax a bit.

I open up my Twitter and scroll through my feed.

I roll my eyes when I see a tweet from Briana.

I don't know who the heck this girl is, but Louis is still mine and that little rotten egg better know it.

"God, Briana!" I yell at my phone.

"What now?" Niall asks. This is sort of a routine thing, me getting angry at Briana's tweets.

"She's throwing it at Kaia" I reply, shutting off my phone.

"I called it" Liam says, arrogantly. "Briana's angry."

"Yeah she is" I reply. "But that probably means she won't come over here a lot!"

We all cheer together until there's a knock on the door.

"I got it" Niall says, walking to the front.

His face losses it's happiness when he says "Briana..."

The rest of us all sigh in disappointment.

"Louis" she storms in.

"Briana" I reply.

"Why are you defending her?" She asks angrily.

"I already said you can't make me do anything" I say. "Why are you sending her threats?"

"Excuse me?" Briana asks. "They're not threats, it's just me basically telling her to back off of you."

"That's exactly it though!" I cry. "I don't want you around here anymore."

"W-what are you saying?" She seems taken aback. "Are you breaking up with me?"

"Yes" I say without hesitation. "Now if you will kindly leave my house and never return. Kay, thanks, bye."

I slam the door in her face after directing her outside.

That's one problem out of the way.

Now to make sure the paparazzi aren't bothering Kaia.

A/N: I know it wasn't the longest today. Sorry :(

How are you liking it? Comment if you want-------->

Do you guys think Kaia will get out of the whole paparazzi thing?

Talk to you later,

Claire
