"Excuse me?" I ask, shocked.
"Let me introduce myself," the man says. "My name is Jeremiah Williams. Lia's boyfriend."
"I thought she broke up with her boyfriend," I say, confused.
"No," he snaps. "And I'm telling you, Styles, you better stay away from Lia or you're gonna regret it."
He started walking away, without leaving me time to reply.
"What the..?" I begin to say but I can't finish because I'm so confused as to what just happened.
He's already in his car driving away when I think about what he said.
"Lia's boyfriend?" I ask to no one particular.
I shake my head and close the front door.
You know it's bad when you're at the mall and you see a magazine with your face on the cover.
And there's at least five other people looking at magazines on the small shelf.
I really don't want a chaotic experience at the mall today.
I hurry out the door, trying not to be seen by those people by the magazines.
Well there goes my day at the mall.
I find my car in the parking lot and drive home, sad that I couldn't do as much shopping as I wanted.
I mean, I could, but everyone seems to recognize me, if they know One Direction. But if those people saw me on the magazine and then right next to them, all hell will break loose.
"Excuse me, dear, but is that you on the cover of a magazine?" "Are you famous?" "Hun, look! It's that girl on the cover!"
And then, comes the paps.
Don't get me wrong, being popular in the media has its perks.
It's actually quite fascinating all the stuff that's changed in my life since getting noticed.
My followers on everything have increased by at least 500 000, I can make people smile just by talking to them or taking a picture...
But it's just annoying when I have to hide from the cameras watching my every move.
I was driving down one of the main roads in the city when a ring came from my car, signalling that I had a call.
I pressed the button to answer the call, and Bluetooth started projecting the voice of the person trying to call me.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Kaia," Lia's voice replies. "Are you on your way home?"
"As a matter of fact," I say. "I am."
"Great!" Lia's voice perks up. "Can you stop by the boys' on your way?"
"Yeah, sure," I reply. "What's up?"
"I dunno," Lia admits. "Harry just called and asked if we could come over. He needs to talk to us- well, me in particular, but he said you could come as well."
"Okay," I smile, though she can't see me. "I'll be over in ten."
"See you then," she says before hanging up.
When I got to the boys' house, Harry started talking. "So, this guy Jeremiah came over-"
Lia sucked in a breath.
"Do you know him?" Harry asks her.
"Yeah," Lia nods. "He's my ex-boyfriend."
"Well he came over," Harry continues. "And he threatened me if I didn't stay away from you."
"And what did you say?" Lia asks, her eyes wide with worry.
"Well, he didn't really give me any time to say anything," Harry shrugs. "He just walked away."
"That's strange," I say.
"I didn't even tell him," Lia mutters.
"Tell him what?" Niall asks from across the room.
"When Jeremiah came over," She says. "He asked if there was someone else. And he could tell that there was. But I didn't tell him it was you, Harry. I wonder how he found out..."
"That is strange," Liam remarks, leaning forward a bit.
"When he came," Harry says. "He was talking all creepy like Liam Neeson in Taken."
"What if he's a spy!" Niall screams.
Louis rolls his eyes. "Yes, Niall, he's a secret agent working for an evil spy agency who are planning to take over the world!" he says in the most sarcastic voice you can imagine.
"Then what are we sitting around for!?!?" Niall exclaims, standing up. "We have to tell somebody! The world is at stake here-"
"Niall!" Liam interrupts the screaming man-child that is Niall Horan. "We're not serious!"
"But..." Niall's face looks disappointed. "But I wanted to be a superhero..."
"Okay..." Harry says, turning back towards Lia.
"So is there anything you need me to do?" Lia asks. "About the Jeremiah thing, that is. I don't think I'll be able to handle Niall."
"I mean, if you feel comfortable talking to him, could you, I dunno, like ask him why he threatened me?" Harry replies.
"Okay," Lia nods, though I can tell in her eyes that she doesn't plan on speaking to her ex in a while, yet.
The room is quiet for a bit after that.
No one really knows what else to say.
Louis' eyes held a gaze with mine during those few moments.
I missed not spending a lot of time with him.
It's my final year of university and I have a crap ton of work so I can't go out much.
Louis patted the empty space next to him, signalling he wanted me to come over and sit with him.
I smiled as I stood up from the chair I was sitting on and moved next to him. I lifted my feet onto the edge of the couch and hugged my legs to my chest while I leaned into Louis.
He wrapped an arm around me as conversation started back up in the room.
I didn't pay much to what they were saying. I was only interested in the warmth coming from Louis' embrace.
I closed my eyes and let me head fall onto Louis' chest.
How is he so perfect? I ask myself. I don't deserve a guy like Louis.
All of a sudden, a buzz went of in my back pocket.
I pulled out my phone and saw that I was tagged in a tweet.
Ew @Kaia_Tyler is so not for Louis. #larryisreal
