Chapter :
RECAP:
Mira stood nervously on stage and watched Makarov and Erza fume over the Magic Council's decision.
They hated Doranbolt the most.
Just because the poor man had called to inform Mirajane.
The beautiful girl sighed.
Her heart wasn't in the school assembly right now.
Moments back, the strikingly gorgeous girl had gotten a call from her sister.
Lisanna Strauss had seemed distressed as she'd called to inform her sis that Elfman, their brother, was having problems controlling his powers.
He evolved in and out of his magic and roared with pain.
Mirajane tapped her foot on the stage as her forehead creased with worry.
Memories of that day, all those years ago, came hurrying into her mind.
The day Lisanna had vanished and Elfman had blamed himself for it.
The guilt, confusion and anguish engulfed her as the noise the students created increased.
Erza clapped her hand to quieten them but no one responded.
"Kids," Makarov yelled but no one listened.
"Listen!" Erza yelled but only caught the attention of few.
Makarov sighed before sensing a sudden rise in magic pressure.
Erza and the head master slowly turned to see Mirajane's face darken as pools of dark magic swirled around her.
Laxus looked up.
Seconds back, things had been normal, but now...
But now, an immense surge of magic energy had filled the room.
He sensed the point and his eyes widened.
A large cloud of dark magic gathered around Mirajane.
Her face was an expression of rage and pain as the swirling aura settled around and she began to alter in appearance.
The entire room shook when she roared.
Every student felt a chill run down his or her spine and turned around to face the stage.
A powerful tail thumped the ground as a pair of wings unfolded behind Mirajane.
Her lovely dress had tattered away to a fitting purple suit.
Her claws twitched as a devilish smile spread across her darkened face.
"You'll listen to the master now. You got that, punks?" Her voice was laced with venom.
Almost all the students shivered while others stared, their faces pulled into tight expressions of fear.
Mira felt power course through her body.
Her thoughts were rushed but slowly settling into a clean line of speech.
She felt a thrill go through her and her rebellious streak returned as she smirked around the now quiet room.
The power that had been buried deep inside her from the Anima attack had finally been unleashed, so much so that the air quivered around her, but she couldn't help but feel the way she'd begun to think ever since Lisanna had disappeared.
Fighting was useless.
What was the point of creating more pain?
She had suffered losing Lisanna...
Why would she want someone else to go through the same?
Fighting was useless.
Unless it was to save the people she loved.
She felt her will waver and the magic slowly drain from her delicate body.
Placing a hand to her throbbing forehead, she glanced once at Laxus who stood with his hands folded, unmoved by her burst of power.
She couldn't read his expression as she lost consciousness.
Laxus watched Mirajane faint as Erza caught her calmly.
Her clothes returned to normal and the girl lay in her friend's arms, her face still and as beautiful as ever.
The Head Master's grandson couldn't help but wonder how much she could do.
Obviously, Mira didn't care much for fighting.
Fits of anger or unrest seemed to set her off but with her caring and forgiving nature, she'd never use her powers at all.
Minutes before the magic drained from her, she'd looked at him.
Laxus wondered what had been on her mind then.
Makarov cleared his throat, "Now that I have your attention,"
Erza seemed to smile before helping Mira off the stage.
"There is an announcement so you brats better listen up."
The students began to mill closer to the stage and listen with keen ears to what their master had to say.
"We asked the Magic Council if we could convert Fairy Tail High into a magic council. A couple of other head masters asked the same. It was my idea dammit..."
Laxus rolled his eyes internally while a few others like Natsu fumed about the injustice.
Would these like minded idiots ever give it a rest?
"But," Makarov continued, "The Magic Council was not too keen on the idea for some reason."
Laxus' stomach twisted in guilt.
Fairy Tail High had always been known as a rather loud, mannerless school but his own behaviour all those years ago, were what had tarnished it's name and reputation.
Makarov caught his eye for a moment before continuing and at that moment, Laxus saw the forgiveness he never thought he'd see.
"They've made a decision and this is what it is, so listen up," The head master said, looking around the room.
Kinana and Erik held hands as they stood beside Gajeel, Gray and Juvia.
Laxus and his Thunder Legion stood to one side near Natsu, Lucy and a few others.
The teachers were scattered across the room and Mira was slowly gaining consciousness as she leaned against Erza.
Jellal stood beside Cana and a few other students...
This was his family and to protect and secure their future, Makarov would do anything.
"The Magic Council has announced that they will host a series of tests. The first five schools to get through the tests victoriously by their students will be the only five who can convert into a magic teaching school for free. Others will have to pay."
His students gasped at the criminal suggestion.
Makarov knew they'd understand.
They were his children after all.
Mira slowly steadied.
"You alright, Mira?" Erza asked and Mirajane nodded.
"Thanks, Erza."
Erza only smiled.
The two friends were connected with a bond that surpassed words.
Looking up, Mira saw Makarov on stage nodding at the rage his kids registered at having to pay to become a magic school.
Mirajane sighed as she remembered that morning at Makarov's office.
Erza stood to one side of the office and seemed to wait for Mira to speak.
Having received no calls from Laxus after her late night one, Mirajane had awoken early and dressed to get to the school and inform Makarov about the Magic Council's decision.
Erza had accompanied her and the two girls had reached the school's entrance to see an exhausted Makarov asleep on a bench.
They'd assisted their old Head Master to his chair to find that he'd finished his meeting with the other masters of various schools and walked straight over to school without a wink of sleep.
"What is it, Mira?" Makarov asked her, "What does the Magic Council say?"
"Doranbolt from the Magic Council called me last night, Master?"
"Ah, Him..." The Head master smiled, "He was a nice lad. A little stupid but alright. He's in the Council?"
"Seems so, Master."
"What'd he say?"
"It's wonderful, master," Mira smiled, "In Fact, it's as though the Council likes our idea but doesn't wwant to seem like they approve of it entirely. They say that they will have a battle of tests arranged so that all the schools can join. The first five can convert for free. The rest have to pay but they can convert too!"
There was a shocked silence in the room.
Mira looked from Erza's face to Makarov's.
"It means that no matter what, we can become a magic school! Isn't that wonderful?" She slowly faltered.
"How dare they!" Erza banged her fist on Makarov's table.
The Head master's face had darkened as he slowly stared at the ground, "So those bastards think they can make us pay money do they?"
"They'll regret this decision," Erza said softly in a dangerous tone.
"So those little Council punks think they're clever enough to get money, hm?"
"They don't think we can place in the top five, do they?" Erza muttered, her hair hiding her face.
"When I asked first and proposed an idea that those pretty posies liked, they should've let me convert into a damn school..." Makarov's magic energy was rising.
"Instead they think that they can give our idea over to everyone else?" Erza asked, her tone still deadly.
"They made a grave mistake..." The two said, their auras darkening.
"Why don't we just pay the money?" Mira asked softly.
"NO!" Erza and Makarov roared.
Mirajane sighed.
Natsu stood beside Happy and Lucy.
"Pay money? No way in hell!" He hollered.
"We can win!" Lucy said beside him to Happy.
"Aye, sir!" Happy shouted over the noise as all the other students added what they thought.
"Listen!" Makarov shouted and the hall quietened.
"We will take those stupid tests and we WILL place!" He said earning a roar of approval from his students.
Natsu shouted too.
Those other schools were going down.
A/N: There it is!!
That's the Council's decision.
Did you like it?
Did I add too much hype for nothing?
What do you think?
Also, I hope you liked the Mira's power part! XD
You know who you are, mate!
I hope I didn't disappont you with my writing up of your awesome idea.
Yes, this'll be like the Grand Magic games but not quite.
They'll be my tests and games and shows and may not be as epic as Mashima-sensei's but I hope that you'll still read...
I'll bring in Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus. ;)
Meredy comes in too for the Lyredy shippers. (Myself included.)
But please remember that all these ships will be taken special and actual care of in the next book.
Especially Bicksanna, mate! ;)
Also, I was wondering if you would like me to create an OC for Hibiki.
I know he's with Jenny but I was wondering if I could break that ship and get something else going...
Alright here we go, Her name is Sasha and she has super straight long, purple hair that reached mid back. She is shy but can have fears or strengths and magic powers that you guys get to choose...
Comment down and I'll merge all your requests in.
How's that?
She'll be Hibiki's pair.
You can pick any school for her to be in except Fairy Tail.
She'll probably transfer next book so don't worry.
Pick a school and I'll count up the majority and put her in.
I hope you guys will be okay with it.
She'll come in a few chapters later so voting is open till then!
Sasha will room with Mira and Erza ina few more chapters...
Thank you guys so much for reading.
I love you and wanted to do something nice for you guys...
So I updated today and decided to let you guys have a person inside.
I know we love all the characters and that they belong to us but there's something special about having your own creation inside the place you love.
Mashima-sensei must feel so good right now!
This is the best I can do for you guys so I promise to pray and write as best as I can!
I hope you'll keep reading and talking with me!!
Ciao.
