Chases POV:
My Mom is sending me to my cousin's house for two weeks to learn about being a Mafia Don.
I convinced her to let me bring a friend.
It wasn't hard.
She does what I want most of the time.
My cousin has a kid now.
She's around my age, but he just found out about her less than a year ago.
I was supposed to take over the Mafia.
that bitch better think twice before she tries to take my place.
Enzo's POV:
The doorbell just rang.
Bay literally won't answer the door anymore.
Can't say I blame her.
I left my office and went to answer it.
"Hello Anna. Chase who's your friend?"
"That's Clark"
"Nice to meet you clark. Come on in. It was nice to see you Anna." I said and shut the door in her face.
"So boys I'll show you to your rooms and then you can meet Bay."
"Who's Bay?" Clark asked.
"His kid. He just found out about her. she's a bastard."
"Let's get one thing clear here Chase. You are here to give your Mother some space. Nothing more. You will learn nothing from me. You will not be cruel to my daughter, in the slightest or you will be out of here. Am I clear?"
"Whatever."
"Also Marco and Maria will be here this afternoon and will stay here as well. Nick is already here."
I saw his face turn to anger for a moment before he covered it up.
"Can't wait to see them."
I saw Xander and Drew walking towards the kitchen.
"Hey can I introduce you two to my cousin and his friend?"
"Of course Sir."
"Xander you can just call me Enzo."
"Force of habit. Hi My name is Xander, I'm the head of Bay's team."
"Her team?"
"She has a team of bodyguards at least one of them is with her 24/7."
"Well I'd like to meet my niece." Chase said.
"She's your cousin once removed."
"She's pretty much a niece."
"You two are closer in age than we are. If anything you're my nephew."
I could tell I was getting under his skin, but I think it's funny.
He's so quick to anger.
The next week is gonna be fun.
I hope Bay doesn't feel too uncomfortable.
I showed them to their rooms and let them unpack for a bit.
Clark's POV:
We were unpacking when a hot girl peaked into the room and knocked.
She waved.
Hi my name is Bay. I think she said.
We take ASL 2 at school.
"Are you one of those deafs that doesn't speak?" Chase asked.
She looked a bit sad, but nodded.
"That's so annoying."
She signed something else, but I don't know what.
"She says she can read lips though." Some guy with her said.
"I'm Ezra, I can interpret for what you guys miss."
"Where'd you get that scar?" I asked.
She used her hand to cover it and walked away.
Ezra's POV:
Don't tell Dad about them, OK? Bay said.
Why not? Your Dad could make them leave.
I want to get to know them. They probably feel uncomfortable.
You give people too much slack Bay. I won't tell him about this time, but if more happens I have to.
She didn't say anything.
We went to the kitchen and Bay was drawing while I went to make us some food.
A little while later I was eating the eggs and toast Bay wouldn't touch when Chase and Clark walked in.
I tapped Bay so she didn't get startled by them.
When she's in an art zone she doesn't really know what's going on around her.
Hi how are you guys doing? Do you need anything?
"I can't tell what she's saying." Chase said looking frustrated.
"She asked how you were doing and if you needed anything."
"Try hard." Chase said with a scoff.
He called you a try hard. Can I tell Enzo now?
No. Please just leave it. She said, but I could tell this was impacting her a lot.
Nick came in a ruffled her hair.
Hey sweets, how's it going?
I'm ok.
"Chase?" Nick covered up that he was asking if Chase did something.
"Yep." I said popping the P and looking Chase in the eyes.
"Why don't you guys take Pebbles on a walk around the gardens? I'm sure he could use the stretch."
OK. Bay still won't really disagree with anyone about anything she's told.
She got up and I followed her to the gardens.
Hey, whatcha thinking? I asked when we got to the rose garden.
Why don't they like me? I've never even thought to talk, is it annoying that I don't? Am I making everyones life harder with not talking?
Bay Chase is literally the only one that cares. I don't have any sort of preference to hear you talk. I wouldn't want you to do anything that would make you uncomfortable. I think everyone else feels the same way.
But what if they don't feel the same. What if everyone is annoyed with me. What if-
I lightly grabbed her hand.
Nothing is going to happen. No one is going to hurt you. It's literally my job to make sure you don't get hurt, so let me do my job OK? No one is mad or frustrated or has any negative feelings towards you. OK?
OK.
I kissed her hands before letting go.
I made eye contact the whole time and seeing the blush grow on her face was worth the wrath I'm about to face from Xander.
He's walking towards us now.
"Shift change. Bay Damon will be switching with Ezra."
"I don't mind staying awhile longer."
"This isn't up for discussion. We're having a conversation right now."
I'll find you in a bit Bay.
OK...
"What are you thinking?! Are you really that dumb??" Xander yelled when we got to our little apartment area thing.
"You're gonna have to be more specific I do a lot of dumb shit."
"You cannot. And I really mean this cannot date Bay."
"Enzo knows about us going on a date already. He just warned me I'd be dead if she got hurt."
"He is the head of a Mafia. He isn't joking. You'll be tortured and killed."
"I'm not gonna hurt her."
"You're being an idiot."
"Whatever Xander. I'm gonna go hangout with my girl."
He looked so mad when I called her my girl.
Worth it.
I want her to be that.
I'm such a suck up when it comes to her.
I'd do anything just to see her happy.
